专题01 阅读理解 主题01 人与自我 Passage 1 议论文 ((24-25九年级上·浙江金华·期末) On my first round-the-world trip in 2006, I planned everything out before the trip. I knew where I was going, staying for how long and how I would get there. And then half-way I ditched the plan and went with the flow (随大流). Over the years, how I plan my travel has changed. Now I am a last-minute planner and plan. Traveling without a plan gives you great flexibility (灵活性). Since nothing is booked far before the trip, you can turn to something different when you change your mind or something better comes along. I changed my plans to meet a friend on an island in Thailand and stayed for a month. I wouldn’t have had that experience if I had kept to my plan. However, most new travelers are the opposite: They over-plan their trips. They make plans for every day, sometimes even for every hour. Two days here, three hours there. I understand why people do that. When time is short, you want to see as much as possible. You don’t want to waste a single second. But in travel, less is more. Spending more time in one place allows you to get a better feeling for the rhythm (节奏) of life. You can visit in a relaxing way, and spend your time on the happy accidents of travel. When I first made my travel plan, I tried to include everything in it. Then I realized it was hard to make it come true, and changed my plan. I came up with a list of just one or two things I want to see each day. It’s an important lesson to learn. I think the best trip plan is to work out the general path you want to take, and let your travels begin from there. This way you will never be locked into a certain place if your feelings change. 1.What does the underlined word “ditched” in Paragraph 1 mean? A.Prepared. B.Discussed. C.Gave up. D.Thought about. 2.Which of the following is true according to the text? A.The writer lives an easy but poor life. B.The writer enjoys traveling a lot. C.The writer thinks planning less is helpless. D.The writer prefers to follow others when traveling. 3.What does the writer suggest about traveling? A.Hitting the road with simple plans. B.Being a last-minute planner. C.Speeding up the travelling rhythm. D.Keeping to the first trip plan. 4.What is the best title for the text? A.How to Plan the 1st Round-the-world Trip B.Why It Is Great to Travel Without a Plan C.How to Spend Time and Money on the Trip D.Why I Change Plans While Travelling 【答案】1.C 2.B 3.A 4.B 【导语】本文介绍了作者根据自己的亲身经历总结出旅行不需要计划太周到,并说明没有太多计划带来的好处。 作者认为旅行的时候要放慢脚步,更好的感受生活的节奏。最后提出对旅行的建议。 1.词义猜测题。根据“On my first round-the-world trip in 2006, I planned everything out before the trip.”以及“And then half-way I ditched the plan and went with the flow (随大流).”可知,此处应该是放弃了自己设计好的计划,因此ditched与gave up都是“放弃”的意思。故选C。 2.细节理解题。根据“Over the years, how I plan my travel has changed. Now I am a last-minute planner and plan.”可知,作者旅行前没有做太多计划安排,喜欢自由旅行。故选B。 3.推理判断题。根据“When I first made my travel plan, I tried to include everything in it. Then I realized it was hard to make it come true, and changed my plan. I came up with a list of just one or two things I want to see each day. It’s an important lesson to learn.”可以推出,作者的建议是制定一个简单的旅行计划。故选A。 4.最佳标题题。根据“Traveling without a plan gives you great flexibility (灵活性). Since nothing is booked far before the trip, you can turn to something different when you change your mind or something better comes along.” Passage 2 议论文 (24-25九年级上·浙江台州·期末)We all wanted to be liked. Sometimes, this means we might say or do something that doesn’t feel right because we want to please someone else. However, it’s important to learn how to be truer to ourselves and become comfortable saying “no”. This is called setting boundaries (边界). Setting boundaries is being honest and respectful about what you like and dislike. That makes you more likely to speak and behave in ways that are true to your feelings. Dr Rekha Vara, a clinical psychologist who helps people care for their mental health, explains that you can think of boundaries as a range (范围). Vara says, “The middle of this range is the healthy space. That’s the best, neither too rigid (死板的) nor too floppy (松弛的). It’s not good to avoid getting close to people. And it’s not healthy if you want to make everyone happy.” Setting boundaries allows you to “protect” yourself. They help you feel safe and respected. If you don’t have boundaries, some people may take advantage because they don’t know or understand what is and isn’t acceptable. Vara says pleasing other people “can become a habit” and then they expect you to do what they want every time. It’s also important to remember that you don’t have to explain your boundaries—there’s nothing wrong with saying “no”. Learning to set boundaries also helps us to respect other people’s boundaries and develop healthy relationships. Everyone’s boundaries are different and that’s OK. The things that are not a big deal to you might be important to others. Vara says, “You might not be too bothered about seeing the film your friend picked because you enjoy being with your friends. Another friend might choose not to come because they are bothered about the film choice. It’s important to find a balance in our friendships so that we remain open towards others and protective of ourselves, too.” 1.How does the writer start the passage? A.By telling stories. B.By asking questions. C.By using a saying. D.By showing something in common. 2.Which of the following can show “the healthy space” in Paragraph 2? (x= boundaries, y= mental health, a= the healthy space) A. B. C. D. 3.Which of the following statements may help to set healthy boundaries? A.I like this movie, so you have to watch it with me. B.That sounds fun for you, but I’m not comfortable about that. C.We have different ideas about this and that’s not OK. D.It’s all up to you, I will do whatever you want. 4.Which of the following might be the best title for the passage? A.Setting Boundaries—Respecting Yourself and Others B.Setting Boundaries—Being Brave to Say “No” C.Setting Boundaries—Being Glad to Accept “No” D.Setting Boundaries—The Best Way to Keep Healthy 【答案】1.D 2.A 3.B 4.A 【导语】本文围绕设定边界展开,阐述了设定边界的概念、重要性以及它对尊重自我和他人的意义,还强调了这一行为在建立健康人际关系中的作用。 1.推理判断题。根据“We all wanted to be liked. Sometimes, this means we might say or do something that doesn’t feel right because we want to please someone else.” 根据“Vara says, ‘The middle of this range is the healthy space. That’s the best, neither too rigid nor too floppy. It’s not good to avoid getting close to people. And it’s not healthy if you want to make everyone happy.’”可知,健康空间处于边界范围的中间位置,既不过于死板,边界过强,也不过于松弛。选项A图像显示健康空间处于边界范围中间,且两边边界有变化,体现了不过于死板和松弛。故选A。 3.推理判断题。根据“Setting boundaries is being honest and respectful about what you like and dislike.” 故选A。 Passage 3 应用文 (24-25九年级上·浙江湖州·期末) A computer can be lots of fun. We chose the first. Up early, my husband and I and our three children couldn’t wait to get started. We decided to walk along a lovely path (小路) named Bright Angel Trail. As we set out, I was shocked at how narrow the path was. And I couldn’t help noticing that the other tourists weren’t like us. They had heavy backpacks, water bottles, and hats, but as usual we were dressed. As the sun rose higher, Arizona’s famous heat seemed to roast us. The sun was shining brightly above our heads, and our legs were aching. We decided to go back, with the girl on my back and the boys far behind. By the time we finally got back, our legs were like jelly. The next day, after we’d had a long rest and a good breakfast, we were ready for another view of the Canyon—by air. After our last walk, this would be the easiest thing in the world. We called to each other excitedly as the plane circled around the Canyon. But the smiles on our faces disappeared as the pilot tossed (翻转) the plane around. It felt like the plane was going to hit the ground. I shouted, “STOP, TAKE US BACK!” When we finally arrived back on land, once again our legs were like jelly. We hardly spoke as we drove back. As I said, there are three ways to view the Grand Canyon. We never tried the mules, but personally I’d suggest a fourth: buy yourself a good magazine about geography. That way, you can see the Canyon, without fear or tiredness. 1.What can we learn from paragraph 2? A.The children were more excited than their parents. B.The heat didn’t stop them from finishing the walk. C.The family made a careful preparation before the trip. A.having a long rest B.walking through the Canyon C.buying a good magazine D.experiencing the Canyon by plane 3.Why did the family hardly speak as they drove back? A.They were still in fear after the flight. B.They were enjoying the beauty of the Canyon. C.They were afraid that they would lose the way. D.They were thinking about the next trip on mules. 4.What does the writer think of her experiences in the Grand Canyon? A.Boring. B.Terrible. C.Pleasant. D.Meaningful. I was shocked at how narrow the path was”、“... Arizona’s famous heat seemed to roast us”、“... and our legs were aching”和“... our legs were like jelly”等诸类描写,可知Bright Angel Trail这条路不是作者想象中的那样。故选D。 2.词句猜测题。根据第三段的第一句话“... we were ready for another view of the Canyon—by air.”可知“this”指的是另外一种体验大峡谷的方式——乘飞机。故选D。 3.推理判断题。根据第四段的“But the smiles on our faces disappeared as the pilot tossed (翻转) the plane around. ”、“I shouted, ‘STOP, TAKE US BACK!’”、“... once again our legs were like jelly”等描写可以看出作者一家因为极度害怕而在回去的路上没人开口说话。故选A。 4.推理判断题。根据最后一段的最后一句话“That way, you can see the Canyon, without fear or tiredness.”结合前文所述可知作者认为他们的大峡谷经历是可怕的。故选B。 Passage 5 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江温州·期末) Lots of fun activities √ Flower fight—people throw flowers at each other √Music and dance performances by street performers and artists from around the world √A big opening ceremony (仪式) √Parades during the day and night √Enjoy beautiful fireworks in the sky at night People come to the Nice Carnival from all over the world to join in the fun and celebrate with the locals. The oldest guitar-like instrument that has been found and saved belonged to an officer in Egypt in 1503 BC. This instrument had three strings (弦) and was made of beautifully polished wood. A century later, Hittite craftsmen (工匠) made stone model showing a man playing an instrument like a guitar. As people began to move to new areas and spread their culture, guitar instruments moved, too. Each new people group changed the design to best fit their own musical sounds. The number of strings changed, and the material used to make the instrument changed, too. People of ancient Africa, the Middle East, and Greece all played stringed instruments. The North African Moors played the oud and brought it to Spain around AD 700. There, it probably mixed with the Greek cithera and the Middle Eastern tanbur. Out of this mix came the Spanish guitarra. Names for the different stringed instruments all finally centered around the Persian word tar, which means “string”. The kithara, chartar, sitar, guitarra, and guiterre were all instruments that are similar to today’s guitar. However, the modern guitar really began to take shape around the 19th century. Torres, a Spanish guitar maker, improved it so much that his design has remained almost unchanged until today. European immigrants (移民) brought Torres’s design to America, where it became popular. In fact, the guitar plays an important part in what many people consider true American music: blues, jazz, and rock and roll. The 20th century brought electric guitars and new ways of using the guitar in music. Today. the instrument remains one of the most popular in the world. 1.Which of the following is TRUE according to the text? A.The modern guitar appeared in the 20th century in Spain. D.The guitar-like instrument was invented by Hittite craftsmen. 2.What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 2 refer to? A.Cithera. B.Tanbur. C.Oud. D.Guitarra. 3.Which is the correct order of the following events? ①Torres’s design was brought to America. ②Spanish guitarra came out of cithera and tanbur. ③Torres improved the instrument. ④The Moors brought the oud to Spain. A.④③②① B.①④③② C.③①④② D.④②③① 4.What’s the text mainly about? A.The value of the guitar. B.The development of the guitar. C.The inventor of the guitar. As the city grew, the king and his people became richer and richer. Everything seemed perfect, and the king was satisfied. Until one day, things started to change. We’ll have a fascinating party to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the US’s diplomatic ties (外交关系) with China in our school. And I’m happy to join it, but I’m worried about how to give a wonderful report on my experiences in China, so can you help me? Here’s my report. Growing up in the US, I can speak English well, and I’ve learned other languages: Chinese, Spanish and French. In order to learn Chinese well, I trained my skills through travel, exploring cities like Beijing, Dali and Kunming. An important experience happened to me two summers ago when I traveled to Beijing. There, I took part in a project where I taught British Culture to primary school students. This greatly deepened my connection to the Chinese language and traditions. Our classroom became a mixture of ideas, language sharing and lots of laughter. Communicating with my students helped their English learning and also built my own understanding of Chinese language and traditions. Living in Beijing, I visited the busy markets and peaceful temples, learning how the local people live. The friendliness and welcoming nature of the people in Beijing left an impression on me. My travels and experiences there have changed how I see the world. They made me admire the interconnection of all communities and inspired me to become a global citizen (全球公民). But they’re not the only winter health risks.” Dr. Dovico, a doctor who takes care of kids, says. “A large number of people notice a change in their feelings.” They may find they feel more tired and a little sad in winter. This is what we call the “winter blues”. That means your physical and mental health need more attention in the winter months. The main cause of the winter blues is the low exposure (暴露) to sunlight. Sunlight is important for our physical health. It helps our body make vitamin D, which can make our immune system (免疫系统) stronger and help our bones grow better. And it may help when we’re feeling down. Dr. Dovico told us, “The sun tells our brain to send a special thing called serotonin (血清素) to our body. That is what puts us in a good feeling.” “Try to spend time playing and having fun outside even if it is cold,” Dr. Dovico says, “Be sure to keep warm. But come in if you get too cold! Even 20 minutes of sun can make a difference.” For those unable to get sunlight, there are a lot of indoor activities such as indoor cycling, doing an art project, doing some simple exercises at home, or even getting together with a friend. Whenever he meets problems in his study, he will turn to Ernie Bot and type some key words. In less than a minute, the helper provides an answer that he needs. This new helper is a chatbot which is a computer program that you can “talk” to. When asked a question, chatbots search the Internet, collect information and provide an answer. The powerful technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help students solve science problems, create writing, and do homework. In fact, chatbots are becoming more and more important for teaching and learning. In a recent survey, 89 percent of students have used chatbots to help them do homework. In Gig Harbor, Washington, students used chatbots to write math raps, which they performed in a class competition. In Scotland, a teacher used chatbots to help students who are not good at English. Chatbots can be good in some ways, but it could also go wrong. With chatbots, it can be hard to know what is real and what is made-up. And students will cheat on their homework. Students will stop thinking for themselves and depend too much on chatbots. This will not be good, because teachers won’t know if students really know. Teachers are too busy to check whether students used a chatbot or not. Of course, people would say chatbots can also help teachers by grading (评分) papers and tests quickly, but they might make mistakes. It’s better if a human reviews schoolwork. At the heart of this discussion is an important question: How much chatbots will change schooling? Only time will tell. 1.From the passage we can know Ernie Bot is ______. It’s dirty. It could hurt a lot. But many people just can’t stop doing it: biting their nails. Up to 45 percent of teenagers in the UK bite their nails, the BBC reported. Some people bite a nail not because it’s too long, but because they are driving, feeling stressed out, or just have nothing else to do. In 2013, the American Psychiatric Association identified nail biting as a symptom (症状) of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). People with this disorder may wash their hands too many times or have to line up their shoes in a certain way. Although nail biting has some things in common with other symptoms of OCD, it is different from other OCD behaviors in at least one way. “In OCD, the behavior is really unwanted,” said psychiatrist Carol Mathews. People with OCD don’t want to wash their hands over and over again. There is no fun in it. They just fear that if they aren’t busy doing something, something bad might happen to them. But nail biters enjoy this activity. “It’s rewarding. When you get the right nail, it feels good,” said Mathews. Therefore some people argue that most nail biters do not have any kind of serious mental illness. However, it’s still a bad habit. So what can we do to stop it? Since most people bite nails as a way of relieving (缓解) stress, finding another way to relieve that stress could be useful, suggested Rochelle Torgerson, a doctor at the Mayo Clinic in the US. For example, some people might play with a pen instead. Nail biters feel the urge (刺激, 冲动) to bite if they find a small imperfect part of the nail, said Mathews. So always keep your nails in good shape. 1.Which of the following behaviors is a symptom of OCD? A.Keeping your nails in good shape. B.Cutting nails to make them short. How do you feel when you hear it? In fact, it is shown that birdsong can influence people’s life. ②Birdsong sounds especially nice in winter because it reminds people of spring. A study found that listening to birdsong for six minutes can help reduce people’s stress. It’s hard to feel sad when you hear birds singing or talking, as the energy in their songs make people feel like walking in the garden. Unlike music, which can sometimes make you produce strong feelings, birdsong is usually seen as positive or neutral (中性的). If you live in a noisy city, birdsong can be a welcome relief from the stress caused by outside noise. ③Another benefit is that birdsong has also been found to improve focus and concentration. It can help people focus on their tasks and be more productive. That’s because when people play birdsong in the background at work, it seems that a “wall” is built to help them stay away from the unpleasant noise outside. In this way, birdsong can be a powerful tool to improve productivity at work. ④Carrie Torn, a doctor in North Carolina has also found that birdsong makes it easier to help people enter a deep sleep. Birdsong, as a kind of white noise, can slow down people’s heartbeats and breath. After listening to birdsong for a long time, a conditioned response (条件反射) is developed in their brains. Therefore, birdsong becomes a signal of entering sleep, which helps them fall asleep faster than before and improve their sleep quality. ⑤Birdsong, a gift from nature, connects people with calmer, more natural settings and makes people feel happier and healthier. So, next time you hear a bird singing, take a moment to enjoy its beautiful melody and let it bring a little joy to your day! 1.According to Para. 2, birdsong may bring people ________. Small dogs don’t do very well in cold weather. Knowing that there was no time to waste, Eric and his own dogs quickly started searching the park. Unluckily, Jackson was nowhere to be found. If Eric hadn’t had his own dogs with him, Jackson might never have been found in time. Eric decided to give up the search and was already heading back to his car. C.Gave up. A.Setting Boundaries—Respecting Yourself and Others B.Setting Boundaries—Being Brave to Say “No” C.Setting Boundaries—Being Glad to Accept “No” D.Setting Boundaries—The Best Way to Keep Healthy Passage 3 应用文 (24-25九年级上·浙江湖州·期末) A computer can be lots of fun. Passage 3 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江杭州·期末) Although experts cannot agree on everything, studies show that the ancestors of the modern guitar first appeared in history several thousand years ago. Just then, an old man walked out behind a tree. “We have always looked after the rainforest and you must, too.” He said. “Don’t cut down the trees! Build your city somewhere else!” But the king neglected the old man’s advice and stuck to building his city near the rainforest. To build more houses, they cut down more trees from the rainforest. Passage 3 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江宁波·期末)When the weather turns cold, we usually stay indoors for a long time. “Colds and the flu are easy to catch and spread quickly inside. It’s normal to experience the winter blues. But if you can’t beat them, talk to a trusted adult about how you feel. They can help us better control our feelings and enjoy the cold months. 1.Which of the following activity can help us make vitamin D? A. B. C. D. 2.How long of sun exposure can make a difference according to Dr. Dovico? A.Five minutes. B.Ten minutes. C.Fifteen minutes. Passage 2 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江宁波·期末) Peter, a high school student in Beijing, has a new helper this year. A.a computer B.a teacher C.a chatbot D.a student 2.The writer shows the importance of chatbots in schooling by ______ in Para 2. A.giving examples B.asking questions C.using famous sayings D.telling stories 3.Some people are against using chatbots in schooling because ______. A.teachers will use chatbots to check homework B.teachers will help students with their study C.students will make more mistakes in homework D.students will develop a habit of being dishonest 4.The writer is ______ about the future of using chatbots in schooling. A.worried B.excited C.uncertain D.disappointed Passage 3 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江绍兴·期末)Many of you have probably had this experience: You get on a train and are ready to take a nap (打盹) or read a book, only to find that the passenger in front of you is watching a TV show on his tablet without earphones. The child next to you won’t stop crying. And the old lady behind you talks on her phone during the whole trip. Wish the train could be less noisy? There might be a solution for you. Train attendants (列车员), according to China’s national railway operation. Some people have pointed out that this kind of quiet environment should be offered in all cars. They say that having quiet cars might give people the idea that they don’t need to be quiet in non-quiet cars. C.Lining things up in a certain way. D.Washing your hands before each meal. 2.What does the writer try to tell us in Paragraphs 4-6? A.The common behaviors people with OCD often show. B.Nail-biters don’t have any kind of serious mental illness. C.People with OCD enjoy doing things over and over again. D.The difference between nail-biting and other OCD behaviors. 3.Which suggestion for how to stop nail-biting is mentioned in the passage? A.Keep your nails in good shape. B.Giving up nail-biting and work hard. C.Find another way to release your stress. D.Biting your nails instead of playing with a pen. 4.What is the best title of this passage? A.How to stop biting nails B.Biting could be worrying C.The cause of nail biting D.Keep your nails in good shape 主题03 人与自然 Passage 1 说明文 (24-25九年级上·浙江·期末) ①For fans of sports, 2024 is an exciting year—the summer Olympics in France, the Winter Youth Olympic Games in South Korea and the UEFA European Championship. These events are fun but they bring environmental problems. ②Many players, coaching teams and fans fly in planes for the great sports events, which produces lots of carbon dioxide (CO2) —a greenhouse gas that leads to global (全球的) warming. One study has found that a person in a sports event can produce more CO2 than usual. Preparations for events can also influence people who live there, like the noise pollution, worse traffic and crowded restaurants. ③Although worldwide events can bring trouble to locals, it can actually be very helpful for businesses in the area. Restaurants, cafes and shops will have more customers. Also, sporting competitions has been shown to ▲ . A study of more than 7, 200 people found that watching live sport makes them feel much happier and less lonely. ④It’s not just the fans who benefit from that experience either. Having audience (观众) at a competition helps some players to perform better. For example, at the 2014 winter Olympics, a Russian player Yulia Lipnitskaya won a gold medal.
