第二部分 阅读(共两节,满分 50 分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
A
Some Favorite European Attractions for Chinese Tourists
Bicester Village
The outskirts of the Oxfordshire town are the second most visited UK attraction for Chinese tourists—after Buckingham Palace. Three in four Chinese visitors head to Bicester aided by Mandarin signs and announcements at London Marylebone; others travel by tour bus.
第二部分
27
King's College, Cambridge
A famous tree—for Chinese people at least—can be found in King's College, Cambridge. The willow, ignored by most, is mentioned in a muchloved poem by Xu Zhimo, Taking Leave of Cambridge Again. Xu spent a year studying at King's College, where he was entranced (使入迷) by the works of Keats and Shelley, before returning to China to lead its modern poetry movement. Xu died at the age of just 34 in a plane crash and the willow is now considered by his fans to be a mark. A memorial stone can be found beside the tree—an essential spot for Chinese tourists to take a photo.
第二部分
28
Outletcity
Germany's answer to Bicester Village is Outletcity in Metzingen, the town in BadenWurttemberg, close to Frankfurt, where Hugo Boss was founded. It has little to attract anyone beyond scores of factories. Hugo Boss was the first, but Prada, Nike, Burberry, Armani and Gucci have since followed suit.
Bonn
The former West German capital is another popular port of call. Chinese people love classical music—particularly Beethoven—making his birthplace an obvious highlight of any trip to Europe. The city's tourist board offers maps in three foreign languages: English, Chinese and Japanese.
第二部分
29
Verona
Both British and Chinese travellers like Venice, Rome and Florence—but Verona typically appears higher on the wish lists of China's tourists. That's because of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. The play is popular on UK shores, of course, but the love is doubled in China as it was among the first of the Shakespeare's works to be translated into Mandarin, while its plot is similar to a famous Chinese folk tale, The Butterfly Lovers.

Most of us travel with our parents as children and teenagers. For some of us, during the travel, our parents are our inspiration. These trips are normally full of rental cars, beaches, and hamburgers. My family would go to Galiano Island every summer, and we did a week in Mexico in 1995, and then we did two different trips to Anaheim to experience the magic of Disney, Universal, and Knott's Berry Farm.
But all of these are childhood experiences and memories. I didn't truly travel with my parents until I was an adult when I got the chance to travel with Mom and Dad.

I was in New Zealand for a study abroad, and invited my parents to come down for a 2week road trip around the North Island and then 10 days in Fiji. Why not? They said, as if this was something they were invited to do every day. I didn't really plan anything, but my mom had done some reading and I knew some highlights after living in New Zealand for 5 months.
I had booked a hotel for their first night in Auckland. The only other preparation I had done was to book a rental car. My parents immediately reached an agreement that I should be the driver, for the whole two weeks. The main reason for this, understandably,

was that neither of them had ever been in a country where you drive on the left hand side of the road and on the right hand side of the car. This led to me driving my parents around the entire North Island of New Zealand for 2 weeks! But still, everybody had jobs. Dad had the maps, and Mom had the guidebook, and I just took them where they told me to go.
Sometimes, I was asked who I was traveling with. When I said “my parents”, the response was, “Ohhh, older people.” Actually, I have some tips on travelling with parents happily.

The village of Hallstatt in Austria is a collection of old buildings. In summer, the mountains are green and the village is lovely. In winter, it's like something out of a snowcovered fairy tale. Now it is being overrun with tourists, partly because it looks like the village from the movie Frozen. The town's mayor is actually hoping that many tourists will stay away.
Hallstatt is small. Fewer than 800 people live there. But the number of visitors who arrive each day is huge—up to 10,000 visitors a day. Hallstatt's popularity first began when it became a World Heritage Site in 1997. But the number of visitors increased
第二部分

quickly after the release of Disney's movie Frozen in 2013. Though much of Frozen was based on life in Norway, Hallstatt looks a lot like Arendelle, the main village in the movie. Some people believe that Arendelle was based on Hallstatt.
Much of the tourism is driven by social media. Many of the visitors seem mainly interested in taking photos with the village in the background. Some local people feel stressed about it. With 10,000 visitors a day, that's over 12 tourists for every person in Hallstatt. One man said his mother had woken up one day to find tourists in her bedroom.
The mayor would prefer to have fewer tourists. He thinks the town would be just fine with about one third fewer visitors each year. Starting from this year, Hallstatt will begin a program to reduce the number of buses bringing visitors to the village.
第二部分
49
Before the tourism boomed, local people would leave Hallstatt to find work. Now many people depend upon the tourists for their living. Hotel rooms can cost between $350 and $450. And it costs over one dollar to use the public bathroom in Hallstatt. With 10,000 visitors a day, even toilets can be good business.

Dear Peter,
No words can express my excitement when I heard that you were planning to take a trip in Beijing. So thrilled am I that I'm writing to provide a travel plan for you, in which I recommend some activities with Chinese characteristics.
On your first day to Beijing, I strongly suggest that you should visit the old royal houses in the Forbidden City, which were the living places of the ancient emperors and their wives. They clearly reflect their life and their status in the ancient times.
第四部分
Then follows the activity on Saturday. Appreciating Chinese paintings in the National Art Gallery is a must, where you will have an eyefeast of various paintings belonging to different times. Finally, before you leave, it will be a wise choice to drink Chinese tea in Lao She Tea House, and you can feel the history of Chinese tea by your tongue.
That's all for my plans. I firmly believe that the activities won't let you down. Have a good time!
Yours,
Li Hua

第二节(满分25分)
阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
As is known to all, the traffic is very poor and heavy. The bus or the train is really crowded. Every time I go home from my company or leave home for my company, I have to accept such a hard experience though I have been used to it.
On a cold December morning, I boarded a bus with my four bags which were large. Luckily, there were two empty seats left. About one hour later, a well-dressed young guy got on and took the seat next to mine. I was cautious. I would often come across guys who were eager to talk to a girl travelling on her own. So I was not surprised when he spoke up.

“Where are you going?” he asked.
“Rampur Bushehr,” I replied briefly and put on my earphones to enjoy some music only to avoid talking with him. He did not bother me after that as if he had known my idea.
It started to rain and cold water was dropping through the roof right onto my lap. Seeing that, the guy emptied a plastic shopping bag full of clothes, which he pushed into his travel bag. He then handed me the plastic bag. I accepted it with a sheepish (困窘的) “thanks” before spreading it on my lap.

Minutes later, the bus broke down! The conductor announced we would have to move to another bus that would reach us shortly, and that there would be no more buses after that, since there had been heavy rainfalls. All the passengers of the bus got off and stood on the side of the road, ready to rush into the next bus. The conductor unwillingly helped me get off the bus with my luggage and I too waited with other passengers.

When the bus finally arrived, it had many passengers already. It seemed there wasn't enough space for me, let alone my four bags. Seeing that, that young guy came to me, “Don't worry. I'll help you get on it.” As a stranger, he behaved too enthusiastically, which made me feel awkward, but I was curious about how he could make it. When the door opened, the guy rushed into the bus. Through the window, I saw he talked to the driver and pointed at me. After a while, the driver asked the crowd to make a path. I didn't realize it was for me until everyone looked at me. Someone even helped to carry my luggage. It was really crowded on the bus, but at least I got on it.
第四部分
As the bus left for my hometown, I looked around for the guy. He did me such a favor and I should say thanks to him, but not sheepish this time. However, reminded by another passenger, I found that he was on the side of the road, waving goodbye to me. I came to the window and shouted to him, “What's your name?” The guy smiled but didn't reply. The bus bumped its way slowly down the road, while his figure gradually faded away and my heart couldn't be calm for a long time. We do have to accept hard experiences sometimes, but still can expect kindness and warmth.
