Audio books become quite popular these days. Why are more and more people choosing audio books? Is listening to an audio book just as helpful as reading a book? Reading needs us to find time and places to sit down and read. However, you can listen to audio books anytime and anywhere you like, and it gives your eyes a break, too. But the big question is, can we learn as much from listening to a book as we do from reading one? People did an experiment to find the answer. They asked volunteers in group I to listen to an audio book and volunteers in group 2 to read a book. It showed that they remembered the same amount (量) of information, when they listened to it and read it. Another study further supported the result above. In the study, they scanned people's brains when they listened to and read books. The result showed that listening to audiobooks activates (激活) almost the same parts of the brain as reading does. However, some people still believe that they learn better from reading paper books. One reason might be that when we listen to audio books, we need to finish more work. “If you're trying to learn while doing two things, you' re not going to learn as well,” Daniel Willingham said. 33.What are the audio book users freer in than paper book users? A.Age and place. B.Time and place. C.Price and time. D.Price and age. 34.What can we know about the audio books? A.They are very popular these days. B.Everybody should buy an audio book. A.A story book. B.A science book. C.A home and life magazine. D.A newspaper. C When you go to the park, you may notice many older people listening to audio books (有声书) instead of reading paper books. C.We need to find a place to read the audio book. D.We should always listen to the audio book at school. 35.From the study, which is better, listening to an audio book or reading a book? We turned around and went along the road by the river. For a long time, no one said anything. Then John said, “Black Beauty saved our lives.
