挑战) Every day, he eagerly logged in, diving into the vibrant world of the game. He quickly became the expert among his friends, showing them the hidden tools and tricks he had discovered. Their game group chat always buzzed with excitement. However, one day while playing online, his enthusiasm turned into frustration. As he instructed his friends on what to do, he shouted at them when they made mistakes. “Michael, stop yelling,” his friend Mark said over the headset, sounding annoyed. “Yeah, I’m just trying to have fun here,” Jay added. Michael felt a wave of frustration wash over him. The joy of the game was slipping away, drowned out by the constant noise of his friends. After that incident, Michael decided to play on his own. He thought it would be better to focus without them. Often, he was deep into a game when his friends wanted to start a new one. Ignoring their messages, he continued his solo adventures. As summer vacation began, Michael spent entire days lost in Legend of Starfell. The game’s colorful landscapes and exciting quests pulled him in completely. Meanwhile, his friends made plans to hang out, but he chose to stay home and play games instead, thinking he was having more fun. By the end of summer, Michael’s progress had slowed. Even though he was ranked high, he couldn’t reach the “elite pro” level, and the game started to feel dull. The chat, once lively, had gone silent for weeks. His friends had stopped calling him, and when he tried to reach out, they were often busy or uninterested. As summer came to an end, Michael felt a deep sense of loneliness. He realized he had spent so much time gaming that he had nothing except tired eyes and a heavy heart. Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The game group chat lit up with their voices again. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ [范文实践] 【参考范文】 Possible version 1: Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change. Michael closed the game and took a deep breath. He realized that chasing rankings had cost him real connections. Determined to fix things, he messaged his friends, apologizing for his past behavior. To his relief, they responded warmly. He suggested meeting up in person, and they agreed. Over pizza, they laughed about old gaming memories and made new plans— not just for games, but for hikes, movies, and even study sessions. Michael felt lighter, understanding that true joy came from balance and friendship, not just pixels on a screen. The game group chat lit up with their voices again. One evening, Michael sent a funny meme to the group. Soon, replies poured in— jokes, inside references, and even invites for a casual match. This time, he played differently: no yelling, just encouragement. They lost a battle but laughed it off, remembering why they loved gaming together. The chat stayed active, now filled with both game strategies and real-life updates. Michael smiled, realizing that games were best when shared. His rank didn’t matter as much as the friendships he’d almost lost— and was now rebuilding. Possible version 2: Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change. Taking a deep breath, Michael typed an apology in the silent group chat. He admitted how his obsession with winning had made him bossy and impatient, pushing everyone away. When he recalled Mark’s infectious laughter during boss fights and Jay’s clumsy but hilarious gameplay, his throat tightened and fingers trembled. The screen blurred as tears welled up, but he kept typing, pouring out his regret for choosing virtual achievements over real friendships. Finally hitting send, he felt lighter, as if a heavy in-game armor he’d been wearing for months had finally been removed. The game group chat lit up with their voices again. First came a teasing gif from Jay, then Mark’s voice message saying “Took you long enough to notice us!” Their forgiveness wrapped around Michael like the warmest in-game healing spell. That weekend, they met at their favorite pizza place, where laughter came easily between slices. Between bites of pepperoni pizza and shared memories, Michael realized that their inside jokes and comfortable silences felt more rewarding than any elite pro ranking. Later, as they fired up Legend of Starfell together again, the game’s vibrant colors paled in the face of their regained friendship. 词汇激活 行为类 ①关闭游戏:close the game/shut down the game ②道歉:apologize for/make an apology for ③见面:meet up/get together ④玩游戏:played games/a casual match 情绪类 ①空虚:feeling empty/empty inside ②轻松:felt lighter/feel relaxed ③开心:smiled/feel happy 【高分句型1】He realized that chasing rankings had cost him real connections.(运用了that引导的宾语从句) 【高分句型2】They lost a battle but laughed it off, remembering why they loved gaming together.(运用了现在分词短语“remembering why they loved gaming together”作伴随状语以及why引导的宾语从句) [策略简析] 一、聚焦 “成长与关系修复”,贴合原文情感逻辑 该试题的核心主题为 “虚拟娱乐与现实关系的平衡”,延伸出 “自我反思后的成长” 与 “友谊修复” 两大子主题,续写需紧密围绕原文铺垫的情感线索展开 —— 原文中 Michael 因沉迷游戏、忽视朋友感受,从 “游戏专家” 沦为 “孤独者”,结尾 “deep sense of loneliness”“tired eyes and a heavy heart” 明确给出 “需改变” 的情感转折点,因此续写需紧扣 “反思→行动→修复→领悟” 的主题逻辑。 Michael “closed the game and took a deep breath”“apologizing for his past behavior”,对应 “反思后的行动”;“laughed about old gaming memories”“made new plans for hikes, movies” 体现 “友谊修复”;最终 “true joy came from balance and friendship, not just pixels on a screen” 点明主题升华,完全贴合原文的情感走向。 范文 2 中 “admitted how his obsession with winning had made him bossy”“pouring out his regret for choosing virtual achievements over real friendships”,同样以 “自我反思” 为起点,通过 “朋友原谅→线下相聚→重新游戏” 的情节,强化 “现实友谊比虚拟排名更重要” 的主题,与原文逻辑高度契合。 二、严格遵循 “给定句引领 + 情节递进”,两段形成闭环 试题明确给出两个续写开头句(“Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change.”“The game group chat lit up with their voices again.”),决定了两段需形成 “行动铺垫→结果呈现” 的递进结构,且每段内部需遵循 “细节描写→情节推进→情感 / 主题体现” 的逻辑。 如范文 1 中 “closed the game and took a deep breath”(动作细节)→“messaged his friends, apologizing...”(行动推进)→“felt lighter, understanding that true joy came from balance”(情感与主题体现);范文 2 中 “typed an apology in the silent group chat”(动作细节)→“recalled Mark’s infectious laughter... his throat tightened”(心理描写 + 情节铺垫)→“felt lighter, as if a heavy in-game armor had been removed”(情感转折),均符合 “细节 - 情节 - 情感” 的段落结构。 第二段(以 “The game group chat...” 如范文 1 中 “sent a funny meme→replies poured in→played differently: no yelling, just encouragement”(场景推进)→“games were best when shared... friendships he’d almost lost— and was now rebuilding”(主题收尾);范文 2 中 “a teasing gif from Jay→Mark’s voice message”(互动细节)→“laughter came easily... felt more rewarding than any elite pro ranking”(主题强化),两段形成 “行动→结果” 的闭环,情节完整且连贯。 例如范文 1 中 “Legend of Starfell”“game group chat”“rank”“friends (Mark/Jay)”,范文 2 中 “elite pro ranking”“group chat”“boss fights (呼应原文 “quests”)”,避免因新增无关词汇导致文本割裂。 如范文 1 中 “felt lighter”(心理)、“laughed it off”(动作 + 情感);范文 2 中 “throat tightened and fingers trembled”(动作体现愧疚)、“forgiveness wrapped around Michael like the warmest in-game healing spell”(比喻体现温暖),这些表达既符合 “游戏爱好者” 的身份(用 “in-game healing spell” 比喻友谊),又精准传递了 “从愧疚到温暖” 的情感,让人物更鲜活。 例如范文 2 中 “met at their favorite pizza place”,呼应原文 “friends made plans to hang out”,体现 “未完成的计划得以实现”,情节更连贯。 要求续写 “如何改变”,不可偏离 “change” 去写 “继续玩游戏”;“The game group chat lit up...” “Good morning, Miss Bolz.” A friendly man in his early twenties greeted me as he placed my breakfast on the table next to my bed. I struggled to sit up, but after being hospitalized several days for severe breathing difficulties, I was still very weak. Now, I was in a nursing home, and I hated staying here. The two elderly women who were sharing my room kept me up every night with low, painful sounds and screams. My nerves were shot, and I felt really tired from not sleeping. Fortunately, there was one positive part about my stay at the nursing home: The food was good. Since I needed to be on medications that had a side effect of stimulating my appetite, I was thankful to have three tasty meals each day. “You gave me oatmeal (燕麦粥) again. Thanks for remembering that it’s my favorite breakfast!” I told the young man who had brought my breakfast. “Well, uh, thanks,” he replied, looking surprised. “Actually, we cook oatmeal for all the patients every morning, but nobody has ever told me before that they like it. Everyone on the kitchen staff works very hard to prepare the meals, so it’s nice to hear praise for a change. Usually, the patients are complaining about the food.” While the young man delivered breakfasts to the two other women in the room, I wondered what I could do to encourage him and his coworkers. Reaching for a pen on my nightstand, I quickly wrote a nice note about the food on the back of the breakfast menu and waved it in the air. “Is that for me?” the man asked with a laugh. He read my note and smiled widely. Then he promised to show my comments to everyone in the kitchen before hurrying away to deliver more breakfasts. As I watched him walk down the hallway, an idea came to me. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Upon my departure, the man thanked me for my meal notes for all staff. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2.(25-26高三上·贵州贵阳·阶段练习)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 I intentionally walked in front of an oncoming car — to avoid a pigeon. As the car came to a sudden stop just a few feet away, I panicked, realizing I almost got killed. “What’s wrong with you?” the driver yelled, cursing angrily. “Do you want to die?” I knew what was wrong with me. I had a lifelong fear of birds. My mother claimed that, when I was an infant, I started to cry if a bird flew past my baby carriage. During my childhood, I dashed away from bird cages in pet stores. The sound of birds singing outside left me shaking. Well-meaning friends of my parents tried to break my extreme fear by taking their talkative bird from its cage and letting it fly around me. They asked me to allow the bird to stay on my arm for one second, two seconds and more to get rid of my fear. However, I’d run away from the room screaming, convinced that their noisy parrot would peck out my eyes. When I watched Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds on television, I knew my fear was reasonable. In the plot, ordinary birds tore open roofs and violently attacked people. I always knew that birds would rise up against humanity someday. One day, while I and my daughter were in the park, she noticed a small sparrow struggling to fly. Instead of running away, she gently picked it up and held it gently in her hands. She spoke softly to it, and after a few minutes, the bird regained its strength and flew away. She looked at me with a smile and said, “Mom, what a lovely bird!” Somehow, my rooted fear of birds seemed to lessen a little at that moment. Cs are absolutely unacceptable for me, because I won’t be salutatorian (致辞学生) with a C. From first grade to high school, I had never made a C. In fact, only a handful of Bs had ever got into the mix of As on my report card. But I had hit a trouble in high school — geometry (几何). I truly couldn’t “see” how those little triangles and squares fit together. Friends tried to help me and I spent hours every night, going over problems with other honor students. And then a mid-term came and I made another C. Until the year I took geometry, I was in the running to be salutatorian to represent all the students to deliver the graduation speech. According to my mother, she had been pre-elected as her class salutatorian. Then, because of pneumonia (肺炎) and several weeks of missed classes, her grades fell. Though she didn’t put much pressure on me, I was determined to realize that dream for her. After getting the C in geometry, I studied like I had never studied before. The last hope to raise my grade was the final exam. I would have to make an A in order to raise my overall average to a B.It was a long shot, but it was all I had left. I’ll never forget taking that final exam. My hands were sweaty. I worked and reworked every problem. When I finally finished my paper, I believed that it was the best I could do. After school, I rushed to my geometry teacher’s office. She had already graded the papers. I made a B — a strong, solid B.It was not enough to change my average. I would get a C in geometry on my report card and that was final. I was heartbroken because I knew not only would I lose salutatorian spot but also I had lost my last chance to realize my mother’s dream. The geometry teacher sensed my depression and offered to let me stay. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ After a long silence, the teacher said firmly, “Then you should be proud.” ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4.(25-26高三上·湖南·开学考试)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 As humans, our longing for recognition can sometimes lead us to a wrong way, forcing us to make regrettable decisions. This is a lesson I learned all too well because I made a wrong decision for my strong desire to get attention. My name is Vimukthi and at 15 years old, I did well in my studies yet longed for popularity among my classmates. Despite my academic achievements, I felt unnoticed. Even though my mother always told me to stay true to who I am and take advantage of my talents to lift others, the desire to stand out consumed me, pushing me towards a serious mistake. Once, I heard someone talk about a faraway relative who worked a little in publishing. So I decided to make up a story, hoping it would make me the center of attention. I boasted (吹嘘) to my classmates that I had an uncle who was a famous writer. I told them he had many old books with leather covers and an old typewriter. I called the typewriter an ‌“antique treasure”. I also made up the story of his new book called Shadowed Legends. To my surprise, everyone believed it. At lunch, classmates came close to me and asked for more information. I drew fake (假的) signed book covers and put them on my desk. They thought they were real. I even wrote letters and said they were from my uncle. The letters had advice about writing, but I actually got the advice from our literature teacher, Mr. Jayasuriya. For a week, I enjoyed the attention a lot. But lies are like weeds-they grow fast and hide the truth. The more I lied, the harder it was to keep the story going. I felt stressed and guilty every day. One afternoon, Mr. Jayasuriya asked me to share ‌“my uncle’s” writing tips with the class. I was fearful and spoke awkwardly, my face turning red. For the whole afternoon, I was restless. Mom sensed my nervousness that evening. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The next morning, I gathered my courage to tell the truth. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5.(2025·广东·模拟预测)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 When Sarah started her new job at the marketing agency, she was full of excitement but also a bit nervous. She had spent weeks researching the company’s past campaigns and practicing her presentation delivery, hoping to make a strong first impression. As she walked to her desk, she noticed colorful post-it notes covering the walls, each written with brainstorming ideas from previous projects. She was assigned to a project team led by Jake, a confident and experienced employee who seemed to have everything under control. At first, Sarah struggled to find her place. She often felt like her ideas were ignored during team meetings, and Jake always seemed to favor another team member, Lisa, who was outgoing and had been with the company for a year. During coffee breaks, Sarah would see Lisa leaning on Jake’s desk, laughing at his jokes while looking through design drawings. Once, when Sarah tried to join their conversation, Lisa turned away mid-sentence to continue chatting with Jake. Sarah began to think that Lisa was trying to make her look bad and damage her work. One day, the three were given a crucial project with a tight deadline. Sarah worked hard on her part, staying late to research consumer trends and working out campaign concepts on blank paper. She even interviewed her neighbors to gather feedback on the product. When she presented her plan, Jake quickly dismissed it, saying it was too risky. Lisa agreed with Jake. Sarah felt defeated, staring at her slides as her teammates moved on to the next topic. However, as the project progressed, problems started to arise. The initial plan that Jake and Lisa had favored wasn’t working as well as expected. The client had sent three e-mails complaining that the ads felt ordinary, and the social media engagement rates were 40% lower than projected. Some salty biscuits and a flavoring box sat innocently nearby. I had never eaten an oyster. I loved seafood, though. I’d never had any seafood or fish that I didn’t like, and I love to try new things. But the sight of that slimy, shapeless thing… Ugh. I just couldn’t do it. My dearest aunt kindly encouraged me to have a try. Cautiously, I stuck one with a tiny fork and lifted it onto the salty biscuit in my left hand. There! That was something at least. I’d put the thing onto a biscuit. I moved the biscuit to my right hand and brought it close to my mouth. It smelled salty. “Do I bite into it or just put the whole thing into my mouth? How do you do this?” I asked. Everyone else was just busy enjoying every mouthful while they jokingly made fun of me for not trying them. I’m not a person who gives in easily. Why was this so hard? The wheels in my head began to turn. The average female in the United States lives approximately seventy-eight years or just over 683,000 hours. And, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Since life is a one-way journey, we should treasure every chance to engage with new experiences. I wasted one of those flying hours trying to prepare myself to try or do something new. My father and grandfather had all graduated from here. I could still remember how they showed me their notebooks, in which I saw faded pictures of their classes, familiar corners of the school and fascinating stories of their school days. Mrs. Patel added that the best three brochures would be displayed in the school library, which was a chance to show the new students how wonderful our school was. I was paired with two classmates: Ansel, who loved photography, and Emma, who had a gift for writing. Working with others could be fun, right? But my enthusiasm was quickly dampened. Our first team meeting was disastrous. As we discussed which campus areas to highlight, Ansel kept switching the conversation toward cameras. I looked hopefully at Emma, who was tapping her pen restlessly on the table. “This whole thing feels pointless,” she muttered. To my disappointment, Ansel chuckled and added, “Yeah, it seems that no one would really read that brochure.” My heart sank as I realized the project might be tougher than expected. At our next meeting, I tried to change the situation. I shared some interesting facts I had researched about the school. However, neither of them seemed interested. They had both promised to do some research. But instead Ansel showed us photos taken on the weekend while Emma hadn’t started her part of the research, claiming she had been too busy. I felt like I was the only one who cared. Back home, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I stayed up late that night, tying to create the brochure by myself. But no matter how hard I tried, the result was far from satisfactory. I was exhausted and disheartened. My mom noticed I was upset. “You can’t do this alone,” she gently reminded me. “Ansel and Emma have talents that can make this project shine. The gray clay moved unsteadily, like a child learning to walk. Sweat dropped onto my glasses as I pressed too hard, making the half-finished vase fall into a strange shape. My twelfth failed try. “Time to go home, Lily?” Mr. Chen’s voice came from behind. The art teacher stood by the oven door, his blue apron dirty with dried paint that looked like raindrop marks. I looked at the clock — 6:45PM. Two hours since other students left. “One last try,” I whispered, putting new clay on the wheel. The earthy smell mixed with my growing worry. Tomorrow’s Art Show felt like a big test. I needed to prove to Dad that making art wasn’t “just playing.” The wheel went around faster. My hands tried to remember the right moves — push, open, pull. But the clay shook and broke straight down the middle. My eyes burned. Twelve vases. Twelve breaks. “This isn’t real work!” Dad’s voice seemed to echo from last week’s fight, his rough hands hitting the kitchen table — palm lines dark with machine oil that never washed off. “Look at these!” He held his thick fingers toward me, tool scars shining like silver threads. “These hands feed us, not your muddy toys!” I wiped my face, leaving clay marks like a warrior’s paint. Outside, sunset turned the windows orange. The oven’s red light shone. Inside, other students’ perfect cups and bowls were becoming strong forever. My hands hurt from working too long. The clock kept ticking. My name card for the show was still empty. Somewhere across town, Dad would be ending his work at the car factory, his hands rough from tools. Mr. Chen picked up my newest broken vase, its crack like a deep cut. “What if,” he smiled, “you fix the breaks with gold?” He opened a jar of shiny gold paint that glowed like sunlight. 注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右;2.请按如下格式在答题纸的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: Mr. Chen quietly put the gold paint jar next to me before leaving. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: At the show, Dad’s dirty fingernail followed the golden lines. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 参考答案 1. As I watched him walk down the hallway, an idea came to me. I decided to write an encouraging note to the kitchen staff after every meal, and once I finished eating, I would lay it on my plate. Working on these notes, I soon got my mind off my illness and my noisy roommates. Words couldn’t describe the warmth I felt every time that young person told me about the joy on the staff’s faces whenever they received my notes. As I knew that my little effort was greatly appreciated, I felt that time flew like an arrow and my surroundings were no longer noisy. Upon my departure, the man thanked me for my meal notes for all staff. His words made me realize how my little effort touched and encouraged everyone. Soon all the staff came in to say good-bye with a big thank-you note signed by every one of them and give me big hugs. Tears welling up in my eyes, I said sincerely, “Thank you so much for your hard work to make each meal nice.” I finally left with a strong resolution to express thankfulness whenever possible, having learned that it has the power to encourage others and light up even the hardest days. 词汇激活 行为类 ①决定:decide/determine ②完成:finish/accomplish ③意识到:realize/recognize 情绪类 ①快乐:joy/happiness/delight ②感激:thankfulness/gratitude [高分句型1]Working on these notes, I soon got my mind off my illness and my noisy roommates.(运用了现在分词作状语) [高分句型2]As I knew that my little effort was greatly appreciated, I felt that time flew like an arrow and my surroundings were no longer noisy.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句和that引导的宾语从句) [高分句型3]. My voice trembled as I described the panic that overwhelmed me whenever wings fluttered near me. She listened quietly, her small hand patting mine. “Mom,” she said thoughtfully, “birds are just tiny creatures trying to live, like us. Maybe if you watch them longer, you’ll see they’re more afraid of you.” Her words echoed in my mind that night as I lay awake, remembering how gently she’d held the sparrow. The next day, a bird sang near my window — I knew it was time to try my daughter’s advice. I held my breath, fighting the urge to retreat. The bird turned its head, and then suddenly flapped its wings — but instead of attacking, it simply flew to a nearby tree branch. As I watched it clean its feathers in the sunlight, I realized something important: the bird wasn’t interested in harming me. It was just going about its daily life. For the first time, I didn’t feel afraid. Maybe, I thought, not all birds were to be feared. I could learn to coexist with these winged creatures without fear. 词汇激活: 行为类 ①颤抖:tremble/shake ②观察:watch/observe ③意识到:realize/be aware 情绪类 ①恐慌:panic/terror ②害怕的:afraid/frightened [高分句型1] My voice trembled as I described the panic that overwhelmed me whenever wings fluttered near me.(运用了as引导时间状语从句,that引导定语从句修饰panic以及whenever引导时间状语从句) [高分句型2] She listened quietly, her small hand patting mine.(运用了独立主格结构) 3. The geometry teacher sensed my depression and offered to let me stay. She pulled out my final exam paper from the stack and pointed to the problems I had solved correctly. “Look at these,” she said gently, “You didn’t just guess. You showed clear thinking in every step. I’ve seen how hard you’ve worked — staying after class, asking thoughtful questions, practicing even when it was frustrating. That effort matters more than a single letter grade.” Her words made my eyes water. I had been so focused on the C that I forgot to see how far I’d come. After a long silence, the teacher said firmly, “Then you should be proud.” She leaned forward, her voice warm but serious. “Salutatorian is an honor, but it doesn’t define you. What defines you is that you didn’t give up when things got hard. You faced a subject that challenged you and fought for every point. That resilience will take you further in life than any title ever could.” As I left her office, the weight in my chest lifted. I still wished for a better grade, but for the first time, I didn’t feel like a failure. I felt like someone who had tried — and that was enough. 词汇激活 行为类 ①指出:point to/indicate ②肯定:show/demonstrate ③鼓励:encourage/inspire ④定义:define/characterize 情感类 ①温柔:gently/mildly ②真挚:serious/earnest [高分句型1] She pulled out my final exam paper from the stack and pointed to the problems I had solved correctly.(运用了省略关系代词that/which的定语从句I had solved correctly修饰the problems) [高分句型2] What defines you is that you didn’t give up when things got hard.(运用了what引导的主语从句和that引导的表语从句) 4. Mom sensed my nervousness that evening. She sat me down and asked gently, ‌“What’s troubling you, my dear?” At first, I hesitated, but her warm smile made me feel safe. I burst into tears and explained everything — the lies about the uncle, the fake letters, and the heavy guilt I’d carried. She listened quietly and hugged me, saying, ‌“Everyone makes mistakes, but the bravest thing is to fix them. True strength comes from honesty.” Hearing that, I realized that I should do something right. Therefore, that night, I made a decision. The next morning, I gathered my courage to tell the truth. In a shaky voice, I told my classmates I had made up the story about my uncle and the reason why I did it. The room fell silent, and I waited for the outburst of anger. To my surprise, Mr. Jayasuriya didn’t blame me. Instead, he said patiently, ‌“Vimukthi, true popularity isn’t built on stories. It’s rooted in honesty and the courage to let others see who you really are.” From then on, everything changed. I no longer struggled with how to be ‌“popular”. Instead, I started enjoying real friendships. Mom was right — honesty isn’t just about telling the truth; it’s about freeing your heart to let others in. And that’s the most powerful kind of recognition. 词汇激活: 行为类 ①使烦恼:trouble/bother ②拥抱:hug/embrace ③编造:make up/fabricate 情绪类 ①勇敢的:brave/courageous ②惊讶:surprise/astonishment [高分句型1] Hearing that, I realized that I should do something right.(运用了现在分词作伴随状语和that引导的宾语从句) [高分句型2] In a shaky voice, I told my classmates I had made up the story about my uncle and the reason why I did it.(运用了省略连词that的宾语从句和关系副词why引导的限制性定语从句) [高分句型3] It’s rooted in honesty and the courage to let others see who you really are.(运用了连接副词who引导的宾语从句) 5. Sarah approached Jake and Lisa, offering adjustments to the project. She pulled up a folder of consumer survey data that she had collected, showing how younger age groups responded positively to her original plan. She suggested testing a mini-version of her plan on a social media platform first, pointing to a sample video she had created. Jake first looked doubtful, but Lisa leaned forward, checking through the data. Then she commented that the engagement data here was solid. They spent the next two hours polishing the plan, with Sarah leading the content creation while Jake negotiating with the client. Soon, the three received high praise from the client. After the project went live, the client was very delighted, reporting the ads became widely popular, generating 10 times more interactions than the original strategy. In the post-project meeting, Jake pushed a coffee towards Sarah, saying he should have listened to her earlier. Lisa added that Sarah’s research had saved them. Sarah smiled, realizing that teamwork isn’t about proving others wrong, but about trusting that everyone brings unique value—even if it takes time to see it. 意识到:realize/ be aware of 情绪类 ①.高兴的:delighted /happy ②.积极地:positively /actively [高分句型1]. My heart raced, but I took a deep breath, recalling the fleeting nature of time. I did a mental “1… 2… 2½… 2¾… 3!” and popped the whole thing into my mouth. At first, its slimy texture made me wrinkle my nose, but as I chewed, a rich, salty flavor exploded on my taste buds. A mix of surprise and delight washed over me. “Oh, man!” I exclaimed, “It is the most delicious thing that I have ever had.” My aunt and the others cheered, and I realized I had overcome my strange fear. The oyster incident has changed how I view so many things. This time, it was an oyster, but there have been too many times I’ve let that happen in my life — waiting too long to try or do something. And then, once done, it was not terrible but something I really enjoyed so much! What fun I could have had if only I’d been brave enough to try things sooner! When something comes along that pushes me outside my comfort zone and I’m feeling hesitant, I will remember that day. It helps give me the push I need to get out of my shell. When opportunity knocks, now I will say, “Eat the oyster!” 词汇激活 行为类: ①放入口中:pop into one’s mouth /put into one’s mouth ②克服:overcome /conquer ③推断,促使:pushes/drive/force 情绪类: ①惊喜:surprise /amazement ②犹豫:hesitant/doubtful/ uncertain [高分句型1] At first, its slimy texture made me wrinkle my nose, but as I chewed, a rich, salty flavor exploded on my taste buds.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句) [高分句型2] And then, once done, it was not terrible but something I really enjoyed so much!(运用了省略关系代词的定语从句修饰先行词something) 7. With only three days left, I arranged the third meeting. With Mom’s words echoing in my mind, I chose to share with them my deep bond with the school. I brought my father’s and grandfather’s notebooks, showing them the faded photos and the fascinating stories. As they flipped through the pages, their eyes sparkled in amazement, a heartfelt pride for the school welling up. Inspired by the proud history spanning three generations, we found the right direction and dove into the project with renewed enthusiasm. This time, tasks were assigned according to everyone’s interest and unique talent. Ansel took charge of capturing photos of the campus from novel angles, while Emma paired them with heartfelt descriptions. As for me, I sought historical photos from the notebooks to add depth and richness to our brochure. The clock was ticking, but our earlier frustration and anxiety entirely melted away, replaced by shared passion and determination. On the final day, we presented our brochure in class. With each turn of the page, Ansel’s spectacular photography and Emma’s elegant writing left everyone in awe. But the most exciting moment came when the images of our school from decades ago were unfolded before the classmates. Leaning forward with wide eyes, they gasped in amazement, deeply captivated. Never in their wildest dreams had they expected that our seemingly ordinary campus could be portrayed so beautifully. Cheers and applause erupted in the classroom from time to time. Without doubt, our brochure won recognition and got displayed in the library. Overwhelmed with a profound sense of pride and achievement, we exclaimed, “We did it!” and hugged together tightly in celebration of our successful collaboration. Reflecting on the journey, I realized that it was the effort to tap into each person’s talent that united us to work as a true team. Just as my mom always says, we need to find a way to get everyone involved. 词汇激活 行为类 ①展示:show /display ②投入:dove into /throw oneself into ③意识到:realized/be aware 情绪类 ①惊叹:amazement/shock/astonishment ②自豪:pride /proud [高分句型1] As they flipped through the pages, their eyes sparkled in amazement, a heartfelt pride for the school welling up.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句以及独立主格结构) [高分句型2] Never in their wildest dreams had they expected that our seemingly ordinary campus could be portrayed so beautifully.(运用了否定词前置的部分倒装句) [高分句型3] Overwhelmed with a profound sense of pride and achievement, we exclaimed, “We did it!” and hugged together tightly in celebration of our successful collaboration.(运用了过去分词短语作状语) 8. Paragraph 1 Mr. Chen quietly put the gold paint jar next to me before leaving. The broken vase looked back at me, its sharp edges like my fears. What if I’m not afraid of being broken? I dipped the brush and painted golden lines over the cracks. Moonlight through dirty windows guided me — when my hand shook, I remembered Dad’s hands polishing metal parts late at night. Slowly, the broken lines turned into shining paths showing my story. By morning, the vase was new again, its golden lines singing stories no perfect thing could tell.Paragraph 2 At the show, Dad’s dirty fingernail followed the golden lines. “I thought art was…useless,” he said, his voice rough like old machines he fixed. His thumb stopped where my tears had mixed with gold. In the vase’s glow, I saw his eyes — not judging, but understanding. “But this…” His eyes met mine, shining like the vase. “…this needs the same hard work as fixing machines.” I put my clay-dirty hand on his oil-stained one. Two pairs of rough hands, two ways of fixing broken things — both making them live again. 记起:remember/recall ②.变成:turn into/change into ③.看到:see/find 情绪类 ①.害怕:be afraid/fear ②.理解:understanding/comprehending [高分句型1]. “I thought art was…useless,” he said, his voice rough like old machines he fixed.(运用了省略关系代词的限制性定语从句) [高分句型2]. 2 Every day, he eagerly logged in, diving into the vibrant world of the game. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150词左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡相应位置作答。 Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change. 词汇激活 行为类 ①关闭游戏:close the game/shut down the game ②道歉:apologize for/make an apology for ③见面:meet up/get together ④玩游戏:played games/a casual match 情绪类 ①空虚:feeling empty/empty inside ②轻松:felt lighter/feel relaxed ③开心:smiled/feel happy 【高分句型1】He realized that chasing rankings had cost him real connections.(运用了that引导的宾语从句) 【高分句型2】They lost a battle but laughed it off, remembering why they loved gaming together.(运用了现在分词短语“remembering why they loved gaming together”作伴随状语以及why引导的宾语从句) [策略简析] 一、聚焦 “成长与关系修复”,贴合原文情感逻辑 该试题的核心主题为 “虚拟娱乐与现实关系的平衡”,延伸出 “自我反思后的成长” 与 “友谊修复” 两大子主题,续写需紧密围绕原文铺垫的情感线索展开 —— 原文中 Michael 因沉迷游戏、忽视朋友感受,从 “游戏专家” 沦为 “孤独者”,结尾 “deep sense of loneliness”“tired eyes and a heavy heart” 明确给出 “需改变” 的情感转折点,因此续写需紧扣 “反思→行动→修复→领悟” 的主题逻辑。 如范文 1 中,Michael “closed the game and took a deep breath”“apologizing for his past behavior”,对应 “反思后的行动”;“laughed about old gaming memories”“made new plans for hikes, movies” 体现 “友谊修复”;最终 “true joy came from balance and friendship, not just pixels on a screen” 点明主题升华,完全贴合原文的情感走向。 范文 2 中 “admitted how his obsession with winning had made him bossy”“pouring out his regret for choosing virtual achievements over real friendships”,同样以 “自我反思” 为起点,通过 “朋友原谅→线下相聚→重新游戏” 的情节,强化 “现实友谊比虚拟排名更重要” 的主题,与原文逻辑高度契合。 二、严格遵循 “给定句引领 + 情节递进”,两段形成闭环 试题明确给出两个续写开头句(“Feeling empty, he knew it was time for a change.”“The game group chat lit up with their voices again.”),决定了两段需形成 “行动铺垫→结果呈现” 的递进结构,且每段内部需遵循 “细节描写→情节推进→情感 / 主题体现” 的逻辑。 第一段(以 “Feeling empty...” 开头):需聚焦 “Michael 的改变行动”,从 “关闭游戏”“发送道歉” 等具体动作切入,搭配心理或环境描写,推动 “修复友谊” 的情节。如范文 1 中 “closed the game and took a deep breath”(动作细节)→“messaged his friends, apologizing...”(行动推进)→“felt lighter, understanding that true joy came from balance”(情感与主题体现);范文 2 中 “typed an apology in the silent group chat”(动作细节)→“recalled Mark’s infectious laughter... his throat tightened”(心理描写 + 情节铺垫)→“felt lighter, as if a heavy in-game armor had been removed”(情感转折),均符合 “细节 - 情节 - 情感” 的段落结构。 第二段(以 “The game group chat...” 开头):需呈现 “改变的结果”,即 “友谊修复后的状态”,通过 “群聊互动”“共同游戏 / 线下相聚” 等场景,呼应第一段的 “行动”,并完成主题升华。如范文 1 中 “sent a funny meme→replies poured in→played differently: no yelling, just encouragement”(场景推进)→“games were best when shared... friendships he’d almost lost— and was now rebuilding”(主题收尾);范文 2 中 “a teasing gif from Jay→Mark’s voice message”(互动细节)→“laughter came easily... felt more rewarding than any elite pro ranking”(主题强化),两段形成 “行动→结果” 的闭环,情节完整且连贯。 例如范文 1 中 “Legend of Starfell”“game group chat”“rank”“friends (Mark/Jay)”,范文 2 中 “elite pro ranking”“group chat”“boss fights (呼应原文 “quests”)”,避免因新增无关词汇导致文本割裂。 情感化表达:通过 “动作 + 心理” 的词句组合,传递人物情感变化。如范文 1 中 “felt lighter”(心理)、“laughed it off”(动作 + 情感);范文 2 中 “throat tightened and fingers trembled”(动作体现愧疚)、“forgiveness wrapped around Michael like the warmest in-game healing spell”(比喻体现温暖),这些表达既符合 “游戏爱好者” 的身份(用 “in-game healing spell” 比喻友谊),又精准传递了 “从愧疚到温暖” 的情感,让人物更鲜活。 例如范文 2 中 “met at their favorite pizza place”,呼应原文 “friends made plans to hang out”,体现 “未完成的计划得以实现”,情节更连贯。 紧扣 “续写开头句”:开头句是段落的 “总起”,续写内容需直接承接开头句的场景或情感。如 “Feeling empty...” 要求续写 “如何改变”,不可偏离 “change” 去写 “继续玩游戏”;“The game group chat lit up...” “Good morning, Miss Bolz.” A friendly man in his early twenties greeted me as he placed my breakfast on the table next to my bed. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 As I watched him walk down the hallway, an idea came to me. Her interaction with the bird gave me a sense of hope and confidence. However, I was still attached to the fantasy that birds would attack me, bite my face, claw at my eyes, and possibly kill me. I wasn’t sure if I could change. 注意:1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 With much embarrassment, I admitted to my daughter the fear in my heart. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The next day, a bird sang near my window — I knew it was time to try my daughter’s advice.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3.(2025·黑龙江大庆·一模)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 C, a disappointing C, right at the top of the mid-term paper. 注意: 1.续写词数应为150个左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 The geometry teacher sensed my depression and offered to let me stay. 注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Mom sensed my nervousness that evening. The team gathered in a conference room, looking at charts with worried looks. Now, having an oyster was a new start. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150个左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 I stared at the biscuit with that oyster in my hand. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The oyster incident has changed how I view so many things. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7.(2025·湖北襄阳·模拟预测)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 When Mrs. Patel, our head teacher, revealed the special group assignment to design a brochure celebrating our school’s 120th birthday, I was thrilled — I was incredibly proud of my school, the Riverside Elementary, which connected me to my roots. You just need to find a way to get them involved.” 注意: 1.续写词数应为150左右; 2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 With only three days left, I arranged the third meeting. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On the final day, we presented our brochure in class. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 8.(2025·辽宁沈阳·模拟预测)阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 The spinning pottery wheel shook under my hands. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ $
