故选A项。 How much does this camp cost?部分中“This camp is only $290 for an entire week of memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.(这个营地只需290美元,就能换来整整一周的回忆和持续一生的友谊)”和When does the camp begin/end?部分中“All children must be picked up no later than 5:00 p.m.. Late pick-ups will result in a $10 fee.(所有孩子必须在下午5点前被接走。迟到接孩子将收取10美元的费用)”可知,如果你一周两次接孩子迟到,你得付20美元,而营地费用是290美元,所以总共要付310美元。故选B项。 【3题详解】 细节理解题。根据What does my child need to bring to the camp?部分中“We also do water activities, so be sure to include a swim suit and a towel each day so they can participate.(我们也会进行水上活动,所以每天一定要带上泳衣和毛巾,以便他们能够参加)”可知,参加夏令营必须带上泳衣和毛巾。故选C项。 B These days, I have been gathering contributions for Class Notes from my classmates at the Brearley School. Seven contributions have come in. They are long or short, emotional or matter-of-fact, and now my job will be to cut and select, rephrase and quote, and count words from each contributor- our entire collection will have to add up to no more than six hundred and fifty words. The tough part is trying to give more or less equal space to each of these life accounts, since some of us tend to relate incidents in great detail while others are tight-lipped. If nine of us altogether, including me, contribute notes, then each note is allowed a little over seventy words. If another contribution comes in at the last minute, we all go down to about sixty-five. Do I cut out the trip to Costa Rica, or the visit to the nephew in New Jersey? The recent grandchild, broken leg, or Scrabble (拼字游戏) competition? Why did I decide I would not mind being a class-notes agent? I suppose I pursue any piece of writing for two main reasons. First, I like the challenge of trying a new form. In this case, my task is to rearrange the writings of a range of personalities to create one fairly smooth whole. The second reason is always emotional. Here, one source of my emotion was the years-long experience of the school itself. I was also touched that my classmates suggested me for the job, their sensible reason being: “You’re a writer. “ As a 65-year-old lady, I feel tired sometimes, but I’ve never stopped valuing every moment in this job. For me, my classmates are still full of youthful energy, passion, or disgust or tearful hurt. I’m not sure I’m naturally gifted at turning all these colorful details into a brief and entertaining account. That’s how I do it — quote their own words as often as I can. 4. What does the author need to do with the contributions? A. Edit and adjust them. B. Collect and grade them. C. Ensure the variety of them. D. Add personal comments to them. 5 How does the author explain the difficulty of the job? A. By citing quotes. B. By listing examples. C. By making comparisons. D. By giving definitions. 6. What can we infer about the author from paragraph 3? A. She prioritizes new forms. B. She prefers emotional writing. C. She is hesitant about the role. D. She is acknowledged by her classmates. 7. What does the author think of the job? A. It’s stressful. B. It’s worthwhile. C. It’s straightforward. D. It’s troublesome. 【答案】4. A 5. B 6. D 7. B 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。主要讲述了作者作为班级笔记编辑,负责收集、整理和编辑同学们投稿的班级笔记的工作内容和感受。 【4题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段“They are long or short, emotional or matter-of-fact, and now my job will be to cut and select, rephrase and quote, and count words from each contributor- our entire collection will have to add up to no more than six hundred and fifty words. (它们有长有短,有情感上的,也有事实上的,现在我的工作将是剪切和选择,重新措辞和引用,并计算每个投稿人的字数——我们的整个合集加起来不得超过650字)”可知,作者需要对投稿进行编辑和调整。故选A。 【5题详解】 推理判断题。根据第二段“The tough part is trying to give more or less equal space to each of these life accounts, since some of us tend to relate incidents in great detail while others are tight-lipped. If nine of us altogether, including me, contribute notes, then each note is allowed a little over seventy words. If another contribution comes in at the last minute, we all go down to about sixty-five. Do I cut out the trip to Costa Rica, or the visit to the nephew in New Jersey? The recent grandchild, broken leg, or Scrabble 根据第三段“I was also touched that my classmates suggested me for the job, their sensible reason being: “You’re a writer.” (我也很感动,我的同学推荐我做这份工作,他们明智的理由是:“你是个作家。”)”可推知,作者被她的同学们认可。故选D。 【7题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“As a 65-year-old lady, I feel tired sometimes, but I’ve never stopped valuing every moment in this job.(作为一名65岁的女士,我有时会感到疲惫,但我从未停止过珍惜这份工作中的每一刻)”可知,作者珍惜这份工作中的每一刻,由此可推知,作者认为这份工作很值得。故选B。 C In 1780, Jeremy Bentham wrote the first lines of the first chapter of one of his most famous works. It read, “Nature has placed mankind under the governance of two masters: pain and pleasure. It is for them alone to point out what we ought to do, as well as to determine what we shall do.” The British philosopher built an entire philosophy around this idea — that we are all motivated by pleasure and pain. Lucky for him, then, that almost all of the social sciences today agree with him. More than that, many behavioral scientists believe we can game our own mechanisms of pleasure and pain and achieve anything. It’s all to do with something called “Skinner’s Law”. Skinner’s Law, named after American behaviorist B.F. Skinner, is that when you are procrastinating (拖延) or finding a task hard to get on with, you have two choices: either “make the pain of not doing it greater than the pain of doing it” or “make the pleasure of doing it greater than the pleasure of not doing it.” The next question is: Is it better to promise yourself pleasure or to threaten yourself with pain to achieve your goal? It turns out that pain is by far the stronger motivator. Daniel Kahneman won the 2002 Nobel Prize for a theory called “Prospect Theory.” He and Amos Tversky showed that we find pain more motivating than equivalent (等同的) pleasure. Using all of this, here are two practical bits of advice: Make a bet: Find a friend or a family member, and bet them some sum of money or some item you value that you will do a certain thing. “Okay, Dad,” you might say, “if I’m not 5 pounds lighter by my birthday, you can have my PlayStation 5.” Social accountability: Tell everyone you’re trying to do something. Tell them your target and your deadline. Keep people updated about your progress. This serves two purposes: to present the carrot and the stick. The carrot is that you get praise, support, and advice from your closest relatives. The stick is that you might be embarrassed or ashamed if you fail. 8. What are Bentham’s words mainly about? A. The primary root of human suffering. B. The driving forces behind human behavior. C. The fundamental principles of nature’s law. D. The role of social sciences in understanding humans. 9. What does the underlined word “game” in paragraph 2 mean? A. Evaluate. B. Control. C. Strengthen. D. Understand. 10. What does the author suggest readers do to stick with their task? A. Enjoy the pain of losing things. B. Work together with a trusted partner. C. Inform others of their advancements regularly. D. Keep reminding themselves of the deadline. 11. What is the best title for the text? A. Overcoming Procrastination: Strategies for Success B. The Origins of Skinner’s Law: A Historical Review C. The Power of Pleasure: A Behavioral Science Analysis D. Reclaim Your Motivation: Applying Skinner’s Law 【答案】8. B 9. B 10. C 11. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,文章主要讲的是作者建议读者运用斯金纳定律(Skinner’s Law)调节自己完成任务过程中的痛苦和快乐,并进一步强调痛苦作为激励因素的主要力量,帮助人们维持做事的动力,从而实现目标。 【8题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第一段““Nature has placed mankind under the governance of two masters: pain and pleasure. It is for them alone to point out what we ought to do, as well as to determine what we shall do.”(“大自然将人类置于两位主宰者的统治之下:痛苦与快乐。唯有它们能为我们指明应当做什么,也能决定我们将做什么。”)”可知,Bentha的话主要讨论了人类行为背后的驱动力,即痛苦和快乐,这是他认为影响人类决策和行为的主要因素,故选B项。 【9题详解】 词句猜测题。根据文章第二段“More than that, many behavioral scientists believe we can game our own mechanisms of pleasure and pain and achieve anything. It’s all to do with something called “Skinner’s Law”.(更重要的是,许多行为科学家认为,我们可以game自己的快乐和痛苦机制,实现任何目标。这都与“斯金纳定律”有关。)”可知,此处引出了斯金纳定律的概念,由此可知,划线词所在句应与斯金纳定律的应用相关,文章第三段“when you are procrastinating (拖延) or finding a task hard to get on with, you have two choices: either “make the pain of not doing it greater than the pain of doing it” or “make the pleasure of doing it greater than the pleasure of not doing it.(当你拖延或发现一项任务难以完成时,你有两个选择:要么“让不做的痛苦大于做的痛苦”,要么“让做的快乐大于不做的快乐”)”对斯金纳定律进行了具体介绍,由此可推测,我们可以通过“控制”我们内在的痛苦和快乐机制来维持做事的动力,进而达成目标,所以划线词game的意思与B项Control(控制)意思相近,故选B项。 【10题详解】 细节理解题。根据文章最后一段“Tell everyone you’re trying to do something. Tell them your target and your deadline. Keep people updated about your progress.(告诉大家你在努力做点什么。 D Mountain chickadees (山雀) have some of the strongest spacial memories in the animal kingdom. New research reveals the genes involved and sheds light on how a changing climate may influence the evolution of this particular skill. In a new study, researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Nevada, Reno identify nearly a hundred genes associated with the birds’ spacial memory, or ability to recall the locations of objects. The paper also suggests a potential balance may exist between having a solid long- term memory and being able to quickly remove old memories to form new ones. Taylor, the director of CU Boulder’s Mountain Research Station and his associates at the University of Nevada, Reno, lead by biologist professor Vladimir Pravosudov, designed a novel technique to assess the spacial memory of wild mountain chickadees. They hung various feeder groups in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains, each with eight seed-filled bird feeders. Each feeder has a gate equipped with a radio frequency reader capable of detecting a tag placed on chickadees by researchers. The scientists then configured (设定) each gate to only open to specific birds, forcing the chickadees to remember which feeders would open to them. Pravosudov and his team then counted how many times each chickadee landed on the wrong feeders before they recalled the right one. Using blood samples, the CU Boulder team sequenced (测定序列) the whole genome of 162 tagged chickadees, resulting in the largest database ever collected for examining the genetic basis of chickade’s cognitive ability. The team discovered 97 genes involved in chickadee spacial learning and memory by comparing the birds’ genomes to their performance on the feeder test. The findings could help biologists better understand the evolution of spacial memory in animals, including humans. “Chickadees are impressive birds,” said Scott Taylor. “They can remember tens of thousands of locations where they store food across an entire winter and a new set of those the next winter. Their spacial memory is much more developed than many other birds that don’t have to have this strategy to survive cold winters.” 12. What do we know about mountain chickadees’ spacial memories? A. They are linked with a hundred relevant genes. B. They maintain a good balance in locating objects. C. They are considered powerful in the animal world. D. They might account for the slow change of climate. 13. What can a radio frequency reader do in the test? A. Lower the error rate of the chickadees. B. Count the times each chickadee failed. C. Collect the food information of a feeder. D. Identify the chickadee landing on a feeder. 14. What does paragraph 4 focus on about the study? A. Blood sampling. B. Genes involved. C. Ability comparing. D. Data gathered. 15. What does Scott Taylor imply in the last paragraph? A. Chickadees possess amazing evolutionary capability. B. Many other birds should improve their spacial memory. C. Food storage is vital to the survival of animals in winter. D. Chickadees’ spacial memory carries them through winter. 【答案】12. C 13. D 14. B 15. D 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要讲述了科学家对山雀空间记忆能力的研究及其相关发现。 【12题详解】 细节理解题。根据第一段“Mountain chickadees (山雀) have some of the strongest spacial memories in the animal kingdom.(山雀在动物王国里有着最强烈的空间记忆。)”可知,山雀在动物界中的空间记忆能力非常强。故选C。 【13题详解】 细节理解题。根据第三段“Each feeder has a gate equipped with a radio frequency reader capable of detecting a tag placed on chickadees by researchers.(每个喂食器都有一个门,门上装有一个射频阅读器,能够探测到研究人员在山雀身上放置的标签。)”可知,无线电频率读取器是用于认出降落在喂食器上的山雀。故选D。 【14题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第四段“The team discovered 97 genes involved in chickadee special learning and memory by comparing the birds’ genomes to their performance on the feeder test.(研究小组通过比较山雀的基因组和它们在喂食器测试中的表现,发现了97个与山雀特殊学习和记忆有关的基因。)”可知,第四段主要是关于相关的基因的,故选B。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“Their spacial memory is much more developed than many other birds that don’t have to have this strategy to survive cold winters.(它们的空间记忆比许多其他鸟类要发达得多,其他鸟类不需要这种策略来度过寒冷的冬天。)”可知,空间记忆帮助山雀度过寒冬。故选D。 第二节(共 5 小题; 每小题 2.5 分,共 12.5 分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Maybe you are probably getting an earful (训斥) from your inner voice. ___16___. Here are several ways to change your self- talk script and to use your inner voices to perform better. Listen critically to your inner critic In high- pressure situations, self- talk is often critical. Instead of thinking deliberately and logically, our inner voices are caused by emotion. That influences everything from how we talk to ourselves to our behaviors. ___17___. And when your inner voices start to fill with words of frustration and discouragement, pause the conversation as you consider ways to change it. Create psychological distance from yourself One effective way to manage stress is to create psychological distance. This can be achieved by using second- or third- person pronouns when referring to the situation. Asking yourself,“ Why are you feeling so stressed?” is one way to create the psychological distance you need to regulate emotion. ___18___. Fit your conversation to your goal ___19___. Instructional self- talk like“ shoulders back” or“ keep the left arm straight” works to improve technique. Motivational self-talk such as“ you’ve got this” or“ keep going” can help with confidence, strength, or endurance. It’s important to be aware of the type of self-talk you are using and make sure it aligns with your goals and needs. ___20___ Demeaning or negative self- talk is only going to increase your stress and hold you back. Instead, speak compassionately to yourself — just as you would to a friend. Recreate negative messages to include positive content. “I am not good at this.” can be changed to“ Relax. You are prepared for this.” “I don’t know what to say.” can be replaced by“ Remember to smile and ask good questions.” A. Treat yourself as a friend B. Make as many friends as possible C. Using instructional language is appropriate D. Different types of self- talk work best for specific goals E. So your first step is to listen critically to what you are saying to yourself F. Often, negative comments in your head make it difficult for you to succeed G. This way you might find your task an interesting challenge instead of a threat 【答案】16. F 17. E 18. G 19. D 20. A 【解析】 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要介绍了几种帮助改善自我对话进而提升个人表现的方法,旨在引导学生注重与自我的沟通,从而更好地实现自己的目标。 【16题详解】 根据空前句“Maybe you are probably getting an earful (训斥) from your inner voice.(也许你可能听到了内心训斥的声音)”提到你可能从内心的声音中听到了长时间的数落;空后“Here are several ways to change your self- talk script and to use your inner voices to perform better.(这里有几个方法来改变你的自我对话脚本,用你内心的声音来表现得更好。)”可知,这里有几种方法可以改变你的自我对话脚本,并利用你的内心声音让你表现得更好。设空处位于段中,应承上启下。F项中的“ negative comments in your head”与空前句中的“ an earful from your inner voice”相呼应,且其中的“ make it difficult for you to succeed”与空后句中的“ perform better”相呼应。 因此,F选项“Often, negative comments in your head make it difficult for you to succeed(通常,你头脑中的负面评论会让你很难成功)”衔接上下文。故选F。 【17题详解】 根据后文“And when your inner voices start to fill with words of frustration and discouragement, pause the conversation as you consider ways to change it.(当你内心的声音开始充满沮丧和沮丧时,暂停谈话,考虑改变它的方法)”中提取的关系词“And”可知,设空处与空后句构成并列关系。空前句“In high- pressure situations, self- talk is often critical. Instead of thinking deliberately and logically, our inner voices are caused by emotion. That influences everything from how we talk to ourselves to our behaviors.(在压力很大的情况下,自言自语往往是至关重要的。我们内心的声音是由情感引起的,而不是有意识地、合乎逻辑地思考。这影响了从我们如何自言自语到我们的行为)”与内心的声音的消极影响相关,空后句与应对内心的声音的做法有关。根据设空处与空后句的并列关系可知,设空处锁定在E项。E项还与空前句构成因果关系,且该项中的“critically”是对小标题中的“critically”和段首句中的“critical”的原词及同根词复现。E选项“So your first step is to listen critically to what you are saying to yourself(因此,你的第一步是批判性地倾听你对自己说的话)”符合语境。故选E。 【18题详解】 根据空前内容“One effective way to manage stress is to create psychological distance. This can be achieved by using second- or third- person pronouns when referring to the situation. Asking yourself,“ Why are you feeling so stressed?” is one way to create the psychological distance you need to regulate emotion.(管理压力的一个有效方法是创造心理距离。这可以通过使用第二人称或第三人称代词来实现。问自己:“为什么你感到这么有压力?”是一种创造心理距离的方法,你需要这种距离来调节情绪)”提到应对压力的一个有效方法是创造心理距离,并举例说明“问自己‘为什么你感到压力如此之大?’”是一种创造调节情绪所需的心理距离的方法。因此,设空处位于段尾,应能承接上文,与空前句提到的创造心理距离的方法相关,G选项“This way you might find your task an interesting challenge instead of a threat(这样你会发现你的任务是一个有趣的挑战而不是威胁)”说明了使用该方法的好处,且其中的“ This way”指代的正是空前句中的“Asking yourself, “Why are you feeling so stressed?””。故选G。 【19题详解】 根据本段小标题“Fit your conversation to your goal(让你的对话符合你的目标)”可知,本段内容与不同自我对话类型和目标之间的联系相关。因此,设空处也应与此相关,故将答案锁定在D选项“Different types of self- talk work best for specific goals(不同类型的自言自语对特定的目标效果最好)”,其中的“goals”是对小标题中的“goal”的同词复现。故选D。 【20题详解】 根据本段内容“Demeaning or negative self- talk is only going to increase your stress and hold you back. Instead, speak compassionately to yourself — just as you would to a friend. Recreate negative messages to include positive content. “I am not good at this.” can be changed to“ Relax. You are prepared for this.” “I don’t know what to say.” can be replaced by“ Remember to smile and ask good questions.”(贬低或消极的自言自语只会增加你的压力,阻碍你前进。相反,你应该同情地对自己说话——就像对朋友说话一样。重新创造负面信息以包含积极内容。“我不擅长这个。可以改成“放轻松。”你已经准备好了。”“我不知道该说什么。可以用“记得微笑,问好问题”来代替)”可知,本段建议人们不要进行贬低性的或消极的自我对话,而要像对待朋友那样对自己说积极的话,A选项“Treat yourself as a friend(把自己当成朋友)”能很好地概括本段主旨。故选A。 第三部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节(共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。 I whispered to myself, “A five-day art camp at White Cliff this summer.” White Cliff was really ____21____ for an enthusiastic painter like me. But at the ____22____ of going there alone, I had butterflies in my stomach. Later, I dialed my only friend Emily’s number, only to discover that she would be otherwise ____23____. I sighed and dropped my head. I had really had a hard time jumping into something without ____24____ faces around. ____25____, I went outside to draw the Westons’ towering pine tree. Sitting on the stairs, I thought about the art camp and wished to feel a little ____26____. Nowadays, academic involution among high-school students has become a serious issue. It brings many negative effects. Students who are caught in it often suffer from high stress, which can lead to health problems like insomnia and anxiety. What’s more, it makes learning lose its joy as students focus only on out-competing others rather than gaining knowledge. To solve this, schools should organize diverse activities that value creativity and teamwork, not just grades. Students themselves should realize that learning is a personal journey, and what matters is self-improvement, which is the key to true success. By doing so, we can create a healthier academic environment where everyone can thrive. 【解析】 【导语】本篇书面表达属于应用文。要求考生针对高中学生学业“内卷”问题,分析其负面影响并提出解决办法,为校刊英文专栏撰稿。 【详解】1. 词汇积累 压力:stress → pressure 导致:lead to → result in 解决:solve → address 多样的:diverse → various 2. 句式拓展 同义句转换 原句:Nowadays, academic involution among high-school students has become a serious issue. 拓展句:Nowadays, it is academic involution among high-school students that has become a serious issue. 【点睛】【高分句型1】Students who are caught in it often suffer from high stress, which can lead to health problems like insomnia and anxiety.(运用了who引导的限制性定语从句、which引导的非限制性定语从句) 【高分句型2】To solve this, schools should organize diverse activities that value creativity and teamwork, not just grades. (运用了that引导限制性定语从句) 第二节 (满分 25 分) 47. 阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。 It was a typical busy noon at the downtown fast-food spot. The smell of sizzling patties and crispy fries lingered (弥漫) in the air, and the place was packed with folks rushing to grab a quick meal. I’d just gotten off a long morning at work, and my stomach was empty as I finally reached the front of the line and got my order-a burger, fries, and a cold drink. As I set the tray (托盘) down on a small table by the window, I glanced over and saw two firefighters in the corner. Their uniforms were heavy with faint spots, like they’d just stepped away from a smoky scene, and their boots still held a hint of damp from the morning dew. They stood in the back of the line, shoulders relaxed but eyes tired. I was just about to pick up my burger-the cheese melted perfectly-when a loud, sharp siren (警报) cut through the noise of the restaurant. The two firefighters froze for half a second, and then moved. No hesitation, no exchange of words — just muscle memory. One grabbed his helmet off the nearby counter, the other adjusted his radio on his shoulder, and they turned toward the door, their steps quickening. I watched them go, and my fork paused mid-air. My empty stomach served as a quiet reminder of how long I’d waited for this meal. I’d stood in that line for 15 minutes, my feet aching from the morning’s work. Giving them my lunch meant I would have to wait again-maybe another line, maybe my break slipping away faster. I bit my lip, staring at the tray. Then I thought of their uniforms, the spots, the way they’d act upon hearing the siren like it was a call they couldn’t ignore. They didn’t get to pause for a meal when emergencies hit. They’d probably go hours without eating, running from one call to the next. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 My hesitation melted away. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I went back to the counter, only to find the manager was waiting for me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】 My hesitation melted away. I grabbed the tray and hurried after the two firefighters calling out softly, “Excuse me!” They paused at the door, turning with slight surprise. I held out the tray, smiling, “You guys must be in a rush — take this. It’s not much, but it’ll keep you going.” One of them hesitated for a second, then nodded gratefully, taking the tray. “Thank you, really,” he said, before they rushed out into the street, the siren growing louder as they went. I stood there for a moment, my stomach still growling, but my chest felt light. I went back to the counter, only to find the manager was waiting for me. He smiled warmly, holding up a new tray with a burger, fries, and a drink. “Saw what you did for the firefighters,” he said, handing it over. “This one’s on the house. We need more people like you.” I was shocked, then grateful, taking the tray. “Thank you so much,” I replied. As I sat back down by the window, biting into the burger, the taste felt sweeter than before. Sometimes, giving up a small thing didn’t just help others — it filled your own heart, too. 词类激活 行为类 ①抓住:grab/get hold of ②看见:see/notice ③回答:reply/respond 情绪类 ①感激地:gratefully/with gratitude ②心情舒畅的:feel light/feel lighthearted 【点睛】【高分句型1】They paused at the door, turning with slight surprise.(运用了现在分词作状语) 【高分句型2】I stood there for a moment, my stomach still growling, but my chest felt light.(运用了独立主格结构) 【高分句型3】 As I sat back down by the window, biting into the burger, the taste felt sweeter than before.(运用了as引导的时间状语从句) 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $ 射洪中学高2023级高三上期强基班一模考试 英语试题 (考试时间:120分钟 满分:150分) 注意事项: 1. 1. 5. How does the author explain the difficulty of the job? A. By citing quotes. B. By listing examples. C. By making comparisons. D. By giving definitions. 6. What can we infer about the author from paragraph 3? A. She prioritizes new forms. B. She prefers emotional writing. C. She is hesitant about the role. D. She is acknowledged by her classmates. 7. What does the author think of the job? A. It’s stressful. B. It’s worthwhile. C. It’s straightforward. D. It’s troublesome. C In 1780, Jeremy Bentham wrote the first lines of the first chapter of one of his most famous works. A. 第二节(共 5 小题; 每小题 2.5 分,共 12.5 分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Maybe you are probably getting an earful (训斥) from your inner voice. ___16___. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $
