Which one is helpful? Which one needs our help? Step 2 pre-task 1. Questions for amazing animals 1) Do you know how many types of pigeons exist in the world? 2) Do you know some of the special skills of pigeons? 3) What do you think of pigeons? 2. Questions for helpful animals 1) Who do they work with? 2) Do you know some of the special skills of rescue dogs? 3) What do you think of rescue dogs? 3. Questions for animals in need 1) Where do they live? 2) Why did they did out? 3) What does dodo’s story inspire you? 4. Work in groups and discuss: “ Are there any other amazing animals, helpful animals and animals in need in the world?”. Try to list them. 5. How to talk about an animal? 6. What else can you mention to introduce an animal? 7. How can you make a profile of an animal? Step 3 Task Make a profile of an animal 1. Work in groups of 4 members each and take a group vote to decide on the animal for your profile. Organise your ideas with the help of the following outline. You may use the following language tips or find useful expressions or sentences from this unit. 2. Practise and present your profile to the class. And then we will vote on the best three profiles and the best three presentations. 3. Vote on the best three profiles and the best three presentations.
