Lu Xun (1881—1936) was a great writer, thinker, and revolutionary of the 20th century. He published his works under the pen name Lu Xun. His real name was Zhou Shuren. He is considered the father of modern Chinese literature.
Lu Xun always wanted to contribute more to the Chinese Revolution. He taught during the day and wrote at night. He always sat at his desk and worked without taking a break.
In his later years, he worked even harder. Shortly before his death, he suffered from high body temperature and weighed less than 40 kilograms. But he never dropped his weapon — his pen. He fought to the last day of his life and never wasted one second of his time. He once said, “I am far from talented. I just do my work when others are drinking coffee.”
Throughout his life, Lu Xun wrote lots of essays and stories. They have a great impact on Chinese literature and society.
