2. It’s similar to Grade 7. (八年级)和七年级类似。
(1)similar是形容词,意为“类似的;相像的”,常作定语或表语。

(2)be similar to意为“和……相似”。

3. We have a new subject this term—physics.
这学期我们有一门新的课程——物理。
(1)physics是不可数名词,意为“物理;物理学”,作主语时谓语动词用单数形式。

(2)physical意为“物理的;身体的”,physical education =PE 体育。

require是动词,意为“需要;要求”,常用结构有:
