教学过程
1. Warming - up (5 minutes)
Greet the students as usual. Then show some pictures on the PPT, such as a student looking sad with a low - score test paper, a student looking worried about making new friends. Ask students: "What do you think has happened to them? How do they feel?" Encourage students to express their opinions freely. This activity can quickly attract students' attention and lead them into the topic of "problems".
2. Presentation (15 minutes)
Vocabulary presentation
Write the key words "fail", "problem", "suggestion", "remend" on the blackboard. Explain their meanings and usages one by one. For example, for "fail", show some example sentences on the PPT and let students read and understand. Then do a small exercise: give students some sentences with blanks, and let them fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words.
e.g. He ________ (fail) to answer the teacher's question yesterday. (Answer: failed)
Sentence pattern presentation
Play the recording of the dialogue about Li Hong's problems at school. Let students listen carefully and follow it sentence by sentence. After that, explain the important sentence patterns for expressing problems, seeking advice and giving advice in the dialogue. Write them on the blackboard and let students imitate and practice reading.
Divide the students into pairs. Ask them to practice the dialogue in the textbook. Walk around the classroom to offer help and correct their pronunciation and intonation in time.
3. Practice (15 minutes)
Oral practice
Present some common problems on the PPT, such as "I lost my wallet.", "I can't get on well with my roommate.", "I'm not good at math." etc. Let students work in pairs. One student chooses a problem and expresses it, and the other gives advice. Then they switch roles. After a few minutes, invite some pairs to come to the front of the class and act out their conversations.
Written practice
Ask students to write a short passage. Suppose they have a problem (they can choose one from the problems given in the oral practice or their own real - life problems), and write down how they express the problem, who they ask for advice from and what advice they get. Give them about 5 minutes to write. Then ask several students to read their passages aloud in class.
4. Consolidation (7 minutes)
Summarize the key words, phrases and sentence patterns learned in this class on the blackboard. Let students read them together to strengthen their memory.
Do a quick review exercise. Show some multiple - choice questions, fill - in - the - blanks questions and translation questions on the PPT related to the knowledge points of this class. Let students answer them quickly. Check the answers together and explain the difficult points.
5. Homework Assignment (3 minutes)
Ask students to write a letter to their friend. In the letter, they should describe a problem they have recently and ask their friend for advice.
Encourage students to pay attention to the problems around them in their daily life and try to use English to express and solve them.
教学反思
After this class, generally speaking, most students can master the key words, phrases and sentence patterns for expressing problems and seeking/giving advice. Through various practice activities, students' oral and written communication abilities have been improved to a certain extent. However, there are still some areas that need improvement.
In the oral practice part, some students are still a little shy and not very active in participating. In the future, more encouragement and more interesting activities can be designed to make them more willing to open their mouths. Also, when students are giving advice, some of the advice is not very practical. In the next class, more guidance can be given on how to give reasonable and practical advice.
In terms of teaching methods, the combination of listening, speaking, reading and writing has achieved good results, but the form of some activities can be more diverse. For example, in the group work, more competition elements can be added to stimulate students' enthusiasm. Overall, continuous improvement and adjustment of teaching methods and content are needed to better meet the learning needs of students.
