显性情节线:saw a trembling dog alongside the road→tried to coax the dog but frightened it to run off→search for the lost dog→call the lost dog's owner→put the dog on a flight to Michigan 2.隐性情感线:show mercy for the lost dog→felt troubled by his behaviour→be glad to know someone cared about the dog. 例1.(2023年新高考全国Ⅱ卷)It just ___44___ that I was planning another PNP flight with another pilot, Karen, who ___45___ to take Tiffy from Kansas City to Virginia. What I was to do was fly to Topeka to ___46___ Tiffy. 44. A. see off B. look for C. hand over D. pick up 【解析】D; 根据“What I was to do was fly to Topeka”和常识可知,作者需要飞到托皮卡去接Tiffy。 例2.(2023年新高考全国Ⅱ卷)In April last year, I saw a post on the PNP (Pilots N Paws) website from a family in Topeka. They had to move to Virginia but they were on a very tight ___41___. They could not afford to pay for ___42___ for their dog, Tiffy, and ___43___ wanted to take her with them. 41. A. desperately B. temporarily C. secretly D. originally 【解析】A;根据“wanted to take her with them.” 例3.(2023全国甲卷)But when we looked at the tomatoes, we were ___46___ because they were so misshapen: not at all like the nice, round, ___47___ things you get in a supermarket. A. simple B. real C. shiny D. fun 【解析】C;根据前文“not at all like the nice, round”可知,空处是在形容超市里的西红柿,和前文的“nice, round”并列,结合选项,应是“shiny闪亮的”符合实际。 48. A. more B. good C. new D. easy 【解析】B;根据前文“But when we looked at the tomatoes, we were 46 because they were so misshapen: not at all like the nice, round, 47 things you get in a supermarket. A. see off B. look for C. hand over D. pick up 【解析】D; 根据“What I was to do was fly to Topeka”和常识可知,作者需要飞到托皮卡去接Tiffy。 例2.(2023年新高考全国Ⅱ卷)In April last year, I saw a post on the PNP (Pilots N Paws) website from a family in Topeka.
