◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Ask students to make up some sentences to describe their and their friends’ hobbies.
3.Ask some students to read their sentences out and check the answers together.
Step 2 Work on Grammar
1.Let students read the sentences from Millie’s article about Daniel.Read them and pay attention to the use of the verbs.
2.Let students observe the sentences and find how the verb forms change with the subjects.Then ask some students to share their findings.
3.Explain the grammar points.
Step 3 Work on A
1.Let students read the words in the box and then ask one student to read aloud the words to the class.
2.Let students complete the sentences in A with the correct forms of the verbs in the box.
3.Check the answers.Then ask volunteers to read these sentences for the class.
Step 4 Work on B
1.Let students look at the names under the activities in the table in B.Let them complete the questions and then use the information in the table to answer them.
2.Check the answers together.
Step 5 Work on C
1.Let students complete the conversation between Amy and Sandy with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.Check and correct the answers.
2.Ask some students to role⁃play the conversation in pairs.
Step 6 Work on D
1.Let students work in pairs to talk with their partners about their and their friends’ hobbies,using the correct forms of the verbs.
2.Encourage some pairs to act out their dialogues.

本课时主要学习行为动词的一般现在时的用法,是英语学习中非常重要的一部分。在一般现在时中,第三人称的动词变化是学生学习的难点。因此,在课堂上要充分调动学生的自主性,结合理论和实践,让学生能够更好地掌握一般现在时。鼓励学生课后要及时进行复习和总结。

Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet students as usual.
2.Review the sounds of the letters a,e,i,o and u.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Play the recording for students.Ask students to listen and repeat the words in the chart.Pay attention to the sounds of the letters a,e,i,o and u.They are different from the sounds in Unit 1 and each sound is short.
2.Play a short video about the pronunciation of /æ/,/e/,/ɪ/,/ɒ/,/ʌ/.Let students know the pronunciation skills about these phonetic symbols.
3.Ask some students to read the words.Give praise to those whose pronunciation and intonation are both excellent.Correct wrong pronunciation.Then read together.
Step 3 Work on A
1.Ask students to read the words in A.Then put them under the correct sound.
2.Check and correct the answers.Then ask some students to read the words.
Step 4 Work on B
1.Play the recording for students.Ask them to look at the groups of words.Try to read the new words according to the sound of the first word in each group.
2.Then ask some students to read each group of words.Correct them if they pronounce one wrong.
Step 5 Work on C
1.Play the recording for students.Ask them to read the following poem.Pay attention to the sounds of the letters in bold.
2.Invite some students to read the poem in front of the whole class.
◇教学反思◇
本课时是语音课。学生在刚听到这些音标的发音时会有所困惑,不太理解为什么明明是同一个元音字母,但发音却完全不同,在经过老师的讲解和反复多次的听录音后,学生们理解并明白了元音字母在英语中的发音规则,即可以分为开音节和闭音节两种情况。学生发现了音标的魅力,对英语学习的积极性有所增加,但部分同学还是需要一段时间来适应,需要多进行听力和发音练习。
