一、Teaching goals
(一) language goals
1. Vocabulary:能听懂、会说、认读、运用新单词weather forecast,clear,heavy,light,rain;能在语境中复习与运用学过的关于天气的单词sunny,rainy,snowy ,cloudy,,cool,windy,cold,warm,cool, hot.
2. Sentence pattern:能理解、运用句型“It will be…tomorrow.”“There will be a…”进一步描述不同天气。
(二) Application goals
1.Students can talk about the weather in the future.
2.Students can broadcast weather forecast by using sentence pattern “It will be…tomorrow.”and“There will be a…”
二、Teaching key points and difficult points
1.重点:能在语境中运用新句型“It will be…”与“There will be a…”描述明天或将来的天气。
2.难点:对名词rain,wind,snow等以及他们相对应的形容词rainy,windy,snowy等正确运用;了解“It will be…”与“There will be a…”的区别及用法。
三、Teaching procedures
Step 1 Warm-up
1.Greetings
2. Sing a song: How’s the weather?
T: What’s the song about? (Weather ).
3.Revision
Do you remember the words about the weather? Here are they.
Show the key word”weather”and review the words about weather one by one “sunny”,“rainy”,“windy”,“snowy”,“cold”,“warm”,“cool”,“hot”.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Free talk:
T:What’s the weather like today?Ss: It’s ....
T:What’s the weather like tomorrow? How can we know?(看天气预报) Let’s watch the weather forecast.It’s time for the weather forecast.Teach “weather forecast”.
2. New words and sentences.
(1)Show a picture and teach new phrases “sunny and cool”and sentence pattern“It will be sunny and cool.”Teach phrases“sunny and warm”and sentence pattern“It will be sunny and warm.”in the same way.
(2)Present a picture of “strong wind”and teach students to read and understand “strong wind”,Learn to use sentence “There will be a strong wind /light rain/heavy rain/light snow”。
(3)Play a game.(有关天气短语巩固游戏)
3.Practice:Ask and answer
Show some pictures of different cities and ask and answer the weather.
---What’s the weather like in Beijing/Xi’an/Shanghai/Changsha /Sanya tomorrow?
---It will be....../There will be ......
4.Play a game:Judge tick(√) or cross(×)(巩固句型)
5.Let’s watch a video about weather forecast and learn how to broadcast weather forecast.
Step4. Role-play:谁是最佳播报员
我们班需要招募一名天气预报播报员,请同学们运用所学句型和熟悉的天气图标来扮演湖南电视台天气预报员,来预报天气吧,老师示范,学生小组讨论、上台展示。最后全班进行投票,选出最佳播报员!
Step 5: Extension
1.Present some pictures about natural disaster and watch a short video about Global Warming.Ask students to talk about their feelings.
2.Educate students protect environment
What should we do? (green travel,plant more trees,save water...)
3.Summarize“We have only one earth .Love you ,love me ,love the earth”.

教学反思:
本课主要是教授有关天气的短语和It will be.../There will be...句型去谈论未来的天气情况。学生在三、四年级已学过一些有关天气的单词,所以在导入部分复习了一下这些单词,为这节课学习天气的短语做了铺垫,在教授短语的同时代入了句型,所以在这一环节花费了较多的时间,导致后面Role-play谁是最佳播报员教学活动中学生的展示时间不够,在今后的教学中应注意合理安排时间。从学生练习情
况来看,掌握得还不错。
