(2025·青海海东三模)The suitcase-sized,self-driving electric vehicles are much greener than many
traditional food delivery methods due to low or even zero-carbon emissions().In one study, participants
with more environmental awareness and knowledge about carbon emissions were more likely to choose the
robots as a delivery method. The green influence went away when people perceived the robots as a high-
risk choice-worried that their food would be late, cold or otherwise spoiled before it arrived.
The findings indicate a way to promote delivery robots."Much of the marketing focus has been on
the functionality and the convenience of these automatic delivery robots, but most importantly,it
would enhance these efforts to promote their green aspects as well,"said lead author Jennifer Han,a
doctoral student in a university.Han found a strong correlation between high-ranked statements
related to carbon emissions and the willingness to use the automatic delivery robots. That connection
broke, however, among people who thought using the technology was risky."When people had
a higher perceived risk about using the robots, they ignored the environmental concerns, but people
who had less perceived risk were more strongly attached to this decision mechanism,"said Han."So,
it was pretty clear that functional reliability must come first, then the environmental benefits."
A sharp increase in online food orders has raised traffic jams and emissions as gas-powered
vehicles deliver meals.More food service businesses are turning to automatic delivery robots to
do so-called "last mile"delivery.Robots may appeal to businesses simply because they help meet
the growing demand for delivery services, but as this study indicates, their ability to limit
carbon emissions may also prove a powerful motivator for consumers.
Han suggested that companies could highlight the delivery robots'environmental advantages by
displaying a calculation of the emissions of each delivery method."Reducing this much of carbon
footprint through robots would be one cue (to promote those purchasing behaviors,if
consumers have a big interest in environmental issues,"she said.
()1.What reduced robots'environmental appeal?
A.Their area unavailability.
B.Their high delivery costs.
C.People's doubts about their reliability.D.People's lack of environmental awareness.
()2.What should companies focus on to better promote delivery robots?
A.Reducing traffic jams.
B.Improving their delivery speed.
C.Lowering their production costs.
D.Ensuring they're reliable and eco-friendly.
()3.Why has "last mile"delivery become a concern for food service businesses?
A.Consumers prefer a cheaper option.
B.Government adopts strict rules on vehicles.
C.Delivery robots have disadvantages.
D.Traditional delivery raises a set of issues.
()4.What did Han suggest doing to highlight delivery robots'environmental advantages?
A.Increasing the number of robots in busy areas.
B.Providing real-time data about delivery emissions.
C.Offering free trials of robot delivery services.
D.Training consumers to operate delivery robots.

(202s·重庆三模)When radiologist Pouneh Razavi reads a patient's chest X-ray,she hunts for
blips()in the X-ray image that could indicate breast cancer. Then,a second reader, artificial
intelligence(Al),looks at the image, and the two compare the results.
Images from Razavi's practice could help train the AI on blips it missed,so it improves over time.
Razavi's colleagues are still collecting data, but they are excited about it.
Chest X-rays aren't the only type of medical imaging getting AI assistance.Doctors are using the
technology to analyse ultrasound videos of babies'hearts and more.AI technology in medicine
is growing rapidly."Imaging is leading the way,"said Stanford University radiologist Curtis Langlotz.
It's not unusual for Langlotz to arrive at the hospital early on Saturday mornings to find at least
150 patient images waiting for him to review. He'll examine chest X-rays carefully, looking for
abnormal nodules()in the lungs. It's a tiring job that takes training and attention to details,
but even experts can make mistakes."We need help,"Langlotz said.
What can be extremely challenging for humans may be a ripe opportunity for Al.With massive
quantities of high-quality digital images, scientists can train AI computer models to seek out specific
features in a person's scan, like signs of lung disease on an X-ray.Such models may help improve
radiologists'accuracy and efficiency,so doctors can prioritize cases based on which ones may need
immediate attention.
The model isn't ready for widespread roll-out.The researchers first need to train it on more data.
"With too many variables that might confuse it,the researchers estimate that more training plus trials
to confirm the model works could take five years,"says Julia Vogt,a computer scientist at ETH
Zurich.
"Using AI tools thoughtfully could ultimately make health care more efficient,"Vogt says."AI is
not magic or perfect, but it has the potential to solve some problems.By easing workloads, for
example,AI could give doctors more time with their patients. That would be a huge achievement."
()1.What is the main function of AI in Pouneh Razavi's work?
A.To collect data for research.
B.To train doctors in imaging.
C.To detect breast cancer indicators.
D.To find out the blips in her images.
()2.What do Langlotz's busy Saturday mornings show?
A.His devotion to work.
B.His excellent medical skills.
C.A lack of doctors in the local hospital.
D.The desire for AI's application in his work.
()3.What does the underlined word "roll-out"in Paragraph 6 mean?
A.Reaction.
B.Launch.
C.Research.
D.Attention.
)4.What is Vogt's attitude to Al?
A.Objective.
B.Uncertain.
C.Negative.
D.Uncaring.

(2025·山东荷译二模)Tracking heart activity becomes more difficult when we move,a common
limitation of many current wearable devices. But researchers at the University of Missouri have found
inspiration in an unlikely source:the starfish.
Studying how starfish turn themselves over by coordinating (their five arms,
researchers Sicheng Chen and Zheng Yan from Mizzou's College of Engineering developed a wearable
device that imitates this structure.Their starfish-shaped monitor can track heart health in real-
time,even during movement.
Unlike traditional wearables like smartwatches, which rely on a single contact point, this device
uses five flexible arms that make multiple contact points with the skin near the heart. This
design keeps it more stable, allowing it to collect clearer, more reliable heart data while the wearer is
active. The device connects to a smartphone app, giving users real-time health insights and helping to
detect potential heart issues early on.
"Similar to a starfish, our device has five arms, each equipped with sensors that capture
both electrical and mechanical heart activity at the same time,"Chen said."Most current devices focus
on capturing only one signal or require separate devices to track multiple signals at the same time. This
allows us to provide a more complete picture of someone's heart health."
The team developed an AI-powered system that learned from a large collection of heart data,
including signals from both healthy individuals and people with heart disease.Using smart technology,
the system leaves out movement-related disruptions()and analyzes heart signals to determine if
someone's heart is healthy or showing signs of trouble. The findings are shown on the smartphone app.
This Al-based approach correctly identifies heart conditions more than 90%of the time.Because
the device has Bluetooth capability, doctors can review the data remotely, making it a convenient
option for at-home monitoring between medical visits."This is also a benefit over traditional
clinical heart tests, which usually require patients to stay still to get accurate results, said Chen.
()1.Which aspect of starfish inspired researchers?
A.Its special skin.
B.Its body structure.
C.Its unique habitat.
D.Its moving speed.
()2.What advantages do the wearables have over traditional ones?
A.They connect to apps easily.
B.They are convenient to wear.
C.They have a single contact point.
D.They are stable with reliable data.
()3.How does the AI-powered system work?
A.By increasing the accuracy of tracking.B.By shortening the process of medical visits.
C.By promoting the convenience of home use.D.By storing the data of various heart problems.
()4.What is stressed about the Al-based approach in the last paragraph?
A.Its market future.
B.Its Bluetooth capability.
C.Its practical application.
D.Its limitation in accuracy.

(2025·广东汕头二模)Many companies have advertised a feature that enables users to employ Al
as a recipe generator assistant. In one demonstration,a user asks the virtual assistant for a meal plan
with ingredients()he has,and the AI returns a list of recipes using those ingredients. In fact,
the employment of AI in the brainstorming stage is also gaining increasing popularity. While
that seems convenient, most of the press about the relationship between AI and cooking has been
negative so far.
For years, chefs on popular video platforms have staged cook-offs between "real"and AI recipes,
with the "real"chefs often winning. In 2022,an online platform compared a chocolate cake
recipe generated by an AI tool with one developed by a professional cook. While the AI recipe baked up
fine, the cook's recipe won in a blind taste test. The tasters preferred the cook's cake for its not-
too-sweet and juicier flavor compared to the Al cake.
Sarah and Kaitlin Leung are sisters who run a famous food blog.Their recipes go through a long
process. They brainstorm ideas,do research, and experiment a lot before testing each recipe up to 40
times."We know that our readers are trusting us,so we try to make sure our recipe not only works
but is also easy to follow,"says Sarah."The stories that surround these recipes and the connections
that we make with people through these recipes are priceless-it's so deeply human.By comparison,
the machine doesn't eat and the machine can't taste."
"It's not all negative for me."A software engineer Olson believes AI has a place in the recipe
development process. He adds,"But I don't think the technology is there to the point where
you can have an entirely Al-generated blog, although that would be a cool concept.Maybe
someone should try it and see how it goes."
()1.What can AI do in developing a recipe?
A.Planning the budget.
B.Shortening cooking time.
C.Coming up with ideas.
D.Demonstrating cooking methods.
()2.What can we know about the competition launched by an online platform in Paragraph 2?
A.The AI tool was developed by a cook.
B.The result agreed with those of prior years.
C.The cook's cake tasted sweeter and juicier.
D.The comparison was based on the appearance.
()3.How do the sisters ensure the quality of their recipes on their food blog?
A.By doing multiple trials.
B.By learning the recipes from Al.
C.By using priceless ingredients.
D.By following standard procedures.
)4.What is Olson's attitude towards entirely AI-generated blogs?
A.Supportive.
B.Concerned.
C.Reserved.
D.Critical.
