Scientists say we have multiple intelligences (智力,才智), but usually only one or two of them are very strong.

传统的智力理论认为人类的认知是一元的、个体的智能是单一的、可量化的,而美国教育家、心理学家霍华德·加德纳(Howard Gardner)在1983年出版的《智能的结构》一书中提出“智力是在某种社会或文化环境的价值标准下,个体用以解决自己遇到的真正的难题或生产及创造出有效产品所需要的能力”。该理论强调人类的智能是多元化的,而非单一的。加德纳指出,人类的智能主要由以下八项组成:语言智能、逻辑智能、空间智能、运动智能、音乐智能、人际交往智能、内省智能和自然观察智能。加德纳后续提出存在智能为第九种智能。
