It is a day to think about why we need water and how to save it. World Water Day has a different theme each year. The theme for World Water Day 2025 is “Glacier Preservation (保护)”. Glaciers are large pieces of ice. It is important we look after them and stop them from melting (融化). They help to keep our planet cool and we get lots of our water from them. Why Is Water Important? Water is very important to all life. Humans, animals and plants would die (死亡) without it. More than half of your body is water! We need water to drink. We also use water for washing our clothes, brushing our teeth, cooking and many other things. All plants need water to grow as well. How can we make a difference? Saving water, such as by having showers instead of baths and turning off the tap while brushing teeth. Collect rainwater for watering plants. Wear clothes more before washing them. On World Water Day, we think about all the ways that we use water and how we can use it as little as possible. We remember not to waste water and learn how to save water in our daily life. 1.When is the World Water Day? A.22nd May B.21st March C.22nd March D.25th May 2.What is the theme for World Water Day this year? A.Glacier Preservation. B.Peaceful Water. C.Water for Peace. D.Every Drop Counts. 3.What does “them” in paragraph 2 refer to (指的是)? A.Ice B.Lakes C.Glaciers D.Rivers 4.Which of these is NOT a way to help make a difference? A.Having baths instead of showers. B.Wearing clothes more before washing. C.Collecting water to water flowers. D.Turning off the tap while brushing teeth. 5.What is the purpose (目的) of World Water Day? A.Learn about the importance of water. B.Have fun playing with water. C.Keep our clothes clean and tidy. D.Drink more water than before. 【答案】1.C 2.A 3.C 4.A 5.A 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章介绍了2025世界水日。 1.细节理解题。根据“World Water Day falls on 22nd March every year.”可知,世界水日在每年的3月22日。故选C。 2.细节理解题。根据“The theme for World Water Day 2025 is ‘Glacier Preservation (保护)’.”可知,2025年世界水日的主题是“冰川保护”。故选A。 3.词句猜测题。根据“Glaciers are large pieces of ice. It is important we look after them and stop them from melting (融化).”可知,冰川是大块的冰,重要的是我们要照顾好它们,防止它们融化。由此可推测“them”指代前文提到的“Glaciers”。故选C。 4.推理判断题。根据“Saving water, such as by having showers instead of baths...”可知,节约用水的方法包括“用淋浴代替浴缸洗澡”。故选A。 5.主旨大意题。根据“World Water Day... is a day to think about why we need water and how to save it.”及全文内容可知,世界水日的目的是让人们了解水的重要性并学会节约用水。故选A。 Mars is cold and dry today, but billions of years ago, it might have had a sea and beaches—a great place for a vacation! Chinese scientists discovered this using Zhurong, China’s first Mars rover (探测器). To collect data (数据), the rover sends radio waves 80 meters into the ground. When these waves hit something important, they let the rover know about it. From the data, scientists found special rock layers (岩层) on Mars. The layers are 10 to 35 meters thick and about 1.3 kilometers long. These rock layers are like the ones near beaches on Earth. Their shape shows that water movement, not wind, probably made the layers. That’s why scientists think the rock layers might be an ancient shoreline. For many years, scientists talked about if there was a large sea in the northern area of Mars. With the new data, scientists think that Mars had a large sea about 3.5 to 4 billion years ago. The sea known as Deuteronilus covered about half of Mars. At that time, the red planet’s air was thicker and its weather was warmer. All this makes us think that there might have been life on Mars in the past. 1.How does Zhurong collect data? A.By collecting waves on Mars. B.By looking into sand on the ground. C.By hitting the rock layers on Mars. D.By sending radio waves into the ground. 2.What does the underlined word “shoreline” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A.A line near the forests. B.A line where land meets water. C.A line made by radio waves. D.A line that can create wind. 3.What can we learn about Deuteronilus from the last paragraph? A.It took up about half of Mars. B.It was a large rock on Mars. C.It lay in the southern area of Mars. D.It made the red planet’s air thin. 4.What is the main purpose of the text? A.To explain how scientists invented Zhurong. B.To describe the weather conditions on Mars. C.To introduce the discovery of a sea on Mars. D.To compare beaches on Mars with those on Earth. 【答案】1.D 2.B 3.A 4.C 【导语】本文介绍了中国祝融号火星探测器的最新发现,科学家们通过探测数据推测火星上可能曾有海洋和海岸线,甚至可能存在生命。 1.细节理解题。根据第二段“To collect data, the rover sends radio waves 80 meters into the ground”可知,祝融号通过向地下发射无线电波收集数据。故选D。 2.词句猜测题。根据第三段中“Their shape shows that water movement, not wind, probably made the layers”可知,这些岩层由水的流动形成,因此“shoreline”指的是水与陆地相接的线,即海岸线。故选B。 3.细节理解题。根据第四段“The sea known as Deuteronilus, covered about half of Mars”可知,Deuteronilus是一个曾经覆盖了火星约一半面积的巨大海洋。故选A。 4.主旨大意题。文章围绕祝融号发现的岩层和科学家的分析,推测火星古代曾存在海洋甚至生命,目的是介绍在火星上发现古海洋的研究成果。故选C。 The Dead Sea is located in the Jordan Rift Valley in southwest Asia. It is about 50 kilometres long and 15 kilometers wide at its widest point. It sits at about 430 meters below sea level, making it the lowest point on Earth’s land. What’s interesting is that the Dead Sea isn’t actually a sea. It’s a lake with a salt concentration (含盐度) of more than 30 percent, which is about eight times saltier than typical seawater. This makes it one of the saltiest bodies of water on Earth. The Dead Sea stays so salty due to its special natural conditions. Each year, it receives very little rainfall, and only a small amount of fresh water flows into it. And the hot weather around the Dead Sea causes the fresh water to evaporate (蒸发) quickly, which makes the salt concentration even higher. For these reasons, it is also known as the Salt Sea. If you were to swim in the Dead Sea, you wouldn’t see any sea life—no plants or animals. The high salt concentration makes it impossible for them to survive there. That’s actually why it’s called the Dead Sea. However, don’t let the name or not having any sea life scare you. Even if you fall into the Dead Sea and can’t swim, you won’t die. The high concentration of salt in the Dead Sea allows anyone to float well, without the need for life buoys (救生圈). In fact, many people visit the Dead Sea every year on vacation. If you walk along the shore, you’ll likely see many people floating in the water, reading books or magazines. 1.Where is the Dead Sea? A.In the Jordan Rift Valley in southeast Asia. B.In the Jordan Rift Valley in southwest Asia. C.In the Nile River Valley in northeast Africa. D.In the Amazon River Basin in south America. 2.Why is the Dead Sea so salty? A.Because it rains a lot there every year. B.Because a large amount of fresh water flows into it. C.Because of its special natural conditions like little rainfall and rapid evaporation. D.Because there are many salt-producing factories around it. 3.Why is the Dead Sea called “Dead Sea”? A.Because it has a very high salt concentration. B.Because it is very wide and long. C.Because no plants or animals can survive in it due to the high salt concentration. D.Because it is the lowest point on Earth’s land. 4.What can we infer from the last paragraph? A.Swimming in the Dead Sea is tiring. B.The Dead Sea is a popular place for tourists. C.The salt in the Dead Sea is bad for people’s skin. D.The Dead Sea is dangerous for people who can’t swim. 【答案】1.B 2.C 3.C 4.B 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,介绍了死海的地理位置、盐度成因、名称由来以及其作为旅游景点的特点等多方面内容。 1.细节理解题。根据“The Dead Sea is located in the Jordan Rift Valley in southwest Asia.”可知,死海位于亚洲西南部的约旦裂谷中。故选B。 2.细节理解题。根据“The Dead Sea stays so salty due to its special natural conditions. Each year, it receives very little rainfall...And the hot weather around the Dead Sea causes the fresh water to evaporate (蒸发) quickly”可知,死海因特殊自然条件(降雨量少且蒸发快)导致盐度极高,因此也被称为 “盐海”。故选C。 3.细节理解题。根据“The high salt concentration makes it impossible for them to survive there. That’s actually why it’s called the Dead Sea.”可知,因高盐度导致无生物存活而得名。故选C。 4.推理判断题。根据“many people visit the Dead Sea every year on vacation…you’ll likely see many people floating in the water”可推断,死海是受欢迎的旅游地。故选B。 Are we alone in the universe? How can we know if there is life out there in space? Just as the famous scientist Carl Sagan said, “Where there’s water, there might be life.” We’ve searched for water on many other planets, especially on Mars. In 1877, Schiaparelli watched Mars and noticed some lines. Some people believed the lines could be man-made rivers and life on Mars built them. Then, in 1964, NASA sent Mariner 4 to take photos of Mars. Yet there was nothing to see on the planet, just a cold and dry wasteland. This didn’t stop people’s interest. Scientists decided to find out if there was once life on Mars. In 2004, NASA’s two rovers (探测器), Spirit and Opportunity, found white lines on rocks from different places on Mars. It showed that perhaps water moved through the ground before. In 2013, another rover, Curiosity, found 2% of water in the soil (土壤) on Mars. The discoveries were encouraging. However, they were still not enough to show there was life on Mars. These days a Chinese research team opened new doors. After China’s Zhurong rover reached Mars on May 22nd, 2021, the team studied the area around the rover’s landing place. They found special layers (层) of rocks. The layers looked a lot like those near the earth’s coastlines. This finding has been the biggest so far. It shows there was a sea on Mars a long time ago! The discovery makes people believe that Mars was once warm, wet and habitable. To make Mars a good place to live again, scientists can study how it changed from warm and wet to cold and dry. Now, China is planning to send astronauts to Mars. We are the ones who will go on writing the history. Was there life on Mars? What surprising facts will be discovered next? Let’s wait and see! 1.In Paragraph 1, how does the writer show water is important for finding life? A.He lists numbers. B.He tells fun science stories. C.He gives examples. D.He uses a famous person’s words. 2.Which is the correct order of the findings on Mars since 1877? ①There was once a sea on Mars. ②There was water in the soil on Mars. ③There could be man-made rivers on Mars. ④Maybe water once moved through the ground on Mars. A.④③②① B.④①③② C.③④②① D.③①④② 3.What does the underlined word “habitable” in Paragraph 5 probably mean? A.Fine to live on. B.Easy to change. C.Difficult to land on. D.Impossible to study. 4.What’s the best title for the text? A.Mars, Are You Out There? B.Hello, Is Anyone on Mars? C.Mars, We Need Water on the Earth! D.Hello, Let’s Visit Mars Again! 根据文章第1段“Just as the famous scientist Carl Sagan said, ‘Where there’s water, there might be life.’” 根据文章第5段“The discovery makes people believe that Mars was once warm, wet and habitable.”以及后文“To make Mars a good place to live again”可知,habitable的意思是“适合居住的”。故选A。 4.最佳标题。文章主要围绕人类对火星上是否存在生命的探索展开,重点讨论了火星上可能存在水的证据以及这些发现的意义。选项B“Hello, Is Anyone on Mars?”最能概括文章的主旨。故选B。 The world is not hungry, but it is thirsty. It seems strange that nearly 3/4 of the Earth is covered with water while we say we are short of water. Why? Because about 97% of the water on the Earth is sea water which we can’t drink or use for watering plants directly. Man can only drink and use 3% of the water that comes from rivers and lakes. And we can’t even use all of that because some of it has been polluted. Now more water is needed. The problem is: Can we avoid a serious water shortage later on? First, we should all learn how to save water. Second, we should find out the ways to reuse it. Scientists have always been making a study in this field. Today, in most large cities, water is used only once and then runs to the seas or rivers. However, it can be used again. Even if every large city reused its water, there still would not be enough water. What could people turn to next? The sea seems to have the best answer. There is a lot of water in the sea. All that needs to be done is to get the salt out of the sea water. This is expensive, but it’s already in use in many parts of the world. Scientists are trying to find a cheaper way to do it. So you see, if we can find a way out, we’ll be in no danger of drying up. 1.The world is thirsty because ________. A.3/4 of the Earth is covered with water B.we have enough sea water to use directly C.we haven’t used all the water in rivers and lakes D.about 97% of the water on the Earth can’t be drunk or used for watering plants directly 2.From the passage we learn ________. A.if every city reuses its water, we won’t be in danger of drying up B.man can only drink and use about 25% of the water on the Earth C.today in most large cities water is used only once D.water can be used only once 3.To avoid the serious water shortage, which of the following is the most important? A.Save water and try to make good use of the water in rivers and lakes. B.Don’t pollute water and keep all rivers and lakes clean. C.Make dirty water clean and then reuse it. D.Try to find a cheaper way to get the salt out of the sea water. 【答案】1.D 2.C 3.D 【导语】本文是一篇说明文,主要介绍了地球上近3/4的面积被水覆盖,但大约97%的水是海水,还介绍了严重的缺水该怎么办。 1.细节理解题。根据第一段“but it is thirsty ... Because about 97% of the water on the Earth is sea water which we can’t drink or use for watering plants directly.”可知,因为地球上大约97%的水是海水,我们不能直接饮用或用来给植物浇水。故选D。 2.细节理解题。根据第二段“Today, in most large cities, water is used only once”可知,如今,在大多数大城市,水只使用一次。故选C。 3.细节理解题。根据第三段“All that needs to be done is to get the salt out of the sea water ... Scientists are trying to find a cheaper way to do it. So you see, if we can find a way out, we’ll be in no danger of drying up.”可知,所需要做的就是把海水里的盐弄出来,科学家们正试图找到一种更便宜的方法来做这件事,如果能找到一条出路,就不会有干涸的危险。即试着找一种更便宜的方法把海水里的盐弄出来,故选D。 进阶拓展训练5篇 The Water Authority (水务局) in Shenzhen, Guangdong province is encouraging citizens to save water as the special economic zone experiences its worst drought (干旱) since 1963. Zhang Jia’an, director of the Water Authority, said Shenzhen has been facing its worst drought since people created the city. “The drought that began hitting the city in late autumn will probably continue through the whole winter and the coming spring and summer,” Zhang said on Wednesday. In addition to less rainfall this year, Zhang said another reason for the water shortage is the city’s fast growing population, which means the city is using more and more water in recent years. To deal with the water shortage, the city government has encouraged citizens to save and recycle water. For example, water flowers with water used to wash rice, and clean toilets with water used to wash clothes. Cutting down bathing time by one minute every day can save water as well. Besides, don’t keep the water running when brushing teeth or washing hands. Xu Weiqiang, a citizen of Shenzhen’s Futian district, said he now receives text messages every day telling him about the city’s serious drought and the action to save water. “Water for home use in Shenzhen has not yet been affected,” Xu said. But large water users, for example, some companies and large factories like his, are said to have been asked to cut down water consumption (消耗), he said. 1.Why is the Water Authority encouraging Shenzhen citizens to save water? A.It has been seldom raining in Shenzhen since 1963. B.The population grows at the fastest speed in 2021. C.The city has its worst drought which began in late autumn. D.The drought will start to hit the city from the coming spring. 2.What might you not know about the drought from paragraph 2? A.When the drought began. B.How long the drought will last. C.Why there is a water shortage in Shenzhen. D.How citizens can fight against the drought. 3.How many tips can you learn about saving water from paragraph 3? A.Two. B.Three. C.Four. D.Five. 4.What can we learn about Xu Weiqiang from the last paragraph? A.He has to cut down water use of his factory in Futian district. B.His daily life has been affected a lot by the city’s serious drought. C.He feels impatient with text messages from Shenzhen government. D.He was not aware of the city’s worst drought and how to save water. 5.What is the main idea of the passage? A.Less rainfall and fast growing population in Shenzhen. B.Shenzhen encourages citizens to save water in drought. Luckily, we human beings have realized the problem. Something must be done to stop pollution. It’s our duty to protect our Mother Earth. In order to live a better life, in September 1969, at a conference in Seattle, Washington, Senator Gaylord Nelson announced that in the spring of 1970, there would be a nationwide environmental activity. That was the concept (概念) of Earth Day. “It was a wish,” he recalls, “but it worked.” On April 22nd, 1970, World Earth Day was first observed. That day, 20 million people attended the movement in the US. On April 22, 1990, more than 200 million people in 141 countries took part in Earth Day celebrations. Earth Day 2007 was one of the largest Earth Days. Billions of people around the world took part in Earth Day events. More than 40,000 people show up for Earth Day festivities at Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo, setting a single-day attendance record. People who have been fighting against oil spills, polluting factories, power plants and the loss of wilderness unite (联合) on Earth Day. If everyone makes a contribution to environmental protection, the world will become much more beautiful. In a word, if everyone pays more attention to our environment, there will be less pollution and our life will be better. There is only one earth. I hope everyone will protect our earth well. We should act like a civilized person: do not spit, do not litter, care for trees and plants… Let’s join hands to save the earth! Remember: Everyday is Earth Day! 1.Where was the concept of Earth Day announced? A.In Spain. B.In Chicago. C.In Seattle. D.In London. 2.When was the first World Earth Day celebrated? The sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, and oceans. This causes the water to evaporate and turn into water vapor. The water vapor rises into the air. As it goes higher, the air gets cooler. The cooler air makes the water vapor condense into tiny water droplets. These droplets form clouds. When the water droplets in the clouds get too heavy, they fall back to the Earth as rain, snow, sleet, or hail. This is called precipitation. Some of the precipitation soaks into the ground and becomes groundwater. Some of it runs off into rivers, lakes, and oceans. And the cycle starts all over again. The water cycle is very important. It helps to distribute water around the Earth. It also helps to purify water. The sun's heat and the process of evaporation and condensation remove impurities from the water. 1.What is another name for the water cycle? A.The hydrologic cycle. B.The water movement. C.The water distribution. D.The water purification. 2.What causes water to evaporate? A.The moon. B.The Earth. C.The sun. D.The wind. 3.What happens when water vapor rises into the air? A.It gets warmer. B.It gets cooler. C.It stays the same temperature. D.It disappears. 4.What is precipitation? A.The process of water evaporating. B.The process of water condensing. C.Rain, snow, sleet, or hail falling from the clouds. D.The movement of water in rivers and lakes. 5.Why is the water cycle important? A.It helps to distribute water around the Earth. Here are some simple ways to save water. First, fix any leaky faucets or pipes in your home. A small leak can waste a large amount of water over time. Second, take shorter showers. A five-minute shower uses less water than a long bath. You can also install a low-flow showerhead to reduce water usage. Third, turn off the tap when you are brushing your teeth or washing your hands. Only turn it on when you need to rinse. Fourth, collect rainwater. You can use a barrel to collect rainwater and use it to water your plants or wash your car. Fifth, use a dishwasher or washing machine only when they are full. This can save a lot of water compared to running them half-full. By following these simple tips, we can all do our part to save water and protect this important resource. 1.Why is it important to save water? A.Because water is expensive. B.Because water is a precious resource. C.Because water is easy to get. D.Because water is everywhere. 2.What should you do if you have a leaky faucet? A.Ignore it. B.Fix it. C.Let it leak more. D.Buy a new faucet. 3.How can you reduce water usage in the shower? A.Take longer showers. B.Install a high-flow showerhead. C.Take shorter showers and install a low-flow showerhead. D.Take a bath instead of a shower. 4.What can you use rainwater for? A.Drinking. B.Cooking. C.Watering plants or washing a car. D.All of the above. 5.When should you use a dishwasher or washing machine? A.Whenever you want. B.Only when they are half-full. C.Only when they are full. Cloud forests are usually found from 500 meters to 4,000 meters above sea level. They experience rainfall, but they also get water straight from the air. Cloud forests are very important to both people who live nearby and the animals and plants living there. They provide water to nearby villages and cities. People drink the water, use it for cooking, and irrigate (灌溉) their farm fields with it. In Kenya, people even use water from cloud forests to produce electricity (电力). Although cloud forests only make up 2.5 percent of the world’s rainforests, they are also home to many animals and plants. Unluckily, cloud forests now face many problems. Local poor people clear the cloud forests. They cut down trees to grow food and use the wood to heat their homes and cook. Once cloud forests are cleared, the cloud cover, which is important and necessary to the growth of these forests, goes away. Another bigger worry is that the temperature increases gradually. If world temperatures rise, cloud forests will have to move up to a higher place where the temperatures are cooler. But some cloud forests on mountain tops with nowhere to climb will die out. Scientists worry that we might lose cloud forests, along with the water and other services they provide. Some governments have taken actions to protect cloud forests. They make laws against cutting down trees in the cloud forests. They provide the local people with other ways to get food and energy. They also educate the local people on how cloud forests provide fresh water and what will happen when they are cleared to make sure a happy dance between humans and nature. Cloud forests are too valuable to lose. We must save them—plus the animals and plants they support—before it’s too late. 1.The writing purpose of this passage is to _________. A.describe the problems of cloud forest B.discover the secrets of cloud forest C.tell the stories about cloud forest D.explain the importance of cloud forest 2.Why are cloud forests in danger? A.Because farmers irrigate their farm fields. B.Because governments cut down trees. C.Because there are fewer mountains to climb. D.Because the temperature gets warmer. 3.What is paragraph 4 mainly talking about? A.People are doing harm to the cloud forest. B.People are making better use of cloud forest. C.People are trying to save the cloud forest. D.People have turned the cloud forest into green land. 4.What can we infer (推断) from the passage? A.Cloud forests are from 500 meters to 4,000 meters below sea level. B.Cloud forests provide water to support people in many ways. C.Cloud forests will die out when the temperatures are cooler. D.Cloud forests can dance with people when working together. 根据文章第三段“Another bigger worry is that the temperature increases gradually. A team of researchers from the US Curiosity Rover Mission, analyzed (分析) some mudstone and fine-grained sediment (细粒沉积物) which can tell us that there was at least one lake around 3.6 billion years ago. The team said their analysis showed that the lake was calm and likely had fresh water, including key biological elements, such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur (硫磺). Theoretically, such a lake would provide perfect conditions for simple living things. The findings were published in the US Journal Science and presented at the American Geophysical Union’s fall meeting in San Francisco. “It is important to note that we have not found signs of ancient life on Mars. What we have found is that there once existed a lake on its surface which might make it possible for some simple living things to live billions of years ago,” Professor Sanjeev Gupta said in a statement. Gupta described the new research as “a huge positive step” for the exploration of Mars. In previous studies, scientists found evidence of water on Mars’ surface in other rocks. However, the new research provides the strongest evidence yet that Mars could have been habitable enough for life to continue. 1.Researchers have found evidence that an ancient fresh water lake probably existed on ________. A.the Earth B.Venus C.Mars D.the Moon 2.The following biological elements EXCEPT ________ have been found on Mars according to the analysis. A.oxygen B.nitrogen C.hydrogen D.carbon dioxide 3.The underlined word “habitable” in the last paragraph probably means “________” in Chinese. Mars is cold and dry today, but billions of years ago, it might have had a sea and beaches—a great place for a vacation! The Dead Sea is located in the Jordan Rift Valley in southwest Asia. Are we alone in the universe? The world is not hungry, but it is thirsty. 进阶拓展训练5篇 The Water Authority (水务局) in Shenzhen, Guangdong province is encouraging citizens to save water as the special economic zone experiences its worst drought (干旱) since 1963. A.The Environment B.Earth Day C.The Pollution D.Environment Day 能力综合实践5篇 The Water Cycle The water cycle, also known as the hydrologic cycle, is the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth. B.It helps to purify water. C.Both A and B. D.None of the above. Saving Water Water is a precious resource, but many people don’t realize how much water they waste every day. D.Never. In the Americas, Asia, and Africa, there’s a special kind of forest—the cloud forest. Water is very important to our life. We drink water every day. We use water to cook, wash and clean. Without water, we can’t live. But do you know how to save water? Here are some suggestions. First, turn off the tap when you brush your teeth or wash your hands. Second, use the water you use to wash vegetables to water the flowers. Third, take a shower instead of a bath. A bath usually uses more water than a shower. We should also protect the water from pollution. Don’t throw rubbish into the rivers or lakes. Factories should not pour waste water into the rivers without cleaning it first. Let’s work together to save water and protect our water resources. 1.Why is water important to us? A.We drink water every day. B.We use water to cook, wash and clean. C.Without water, we can’t live. D.All of the above. 2.What’s the first suggestion to save water? A.Use the water you use to wash vegetables to water the flowers. B.Take a shower instead of a bath. C.Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth or wash your hands. D.Don’t throw rubbish into the rivers. 3.Why should we take a shower instead of a bath? A.A shower is more comfortable. B.A bath is dirty. C.A bath usually uses more water than a shower. D.A shower is cheaper. 4.What should factories do to protect water? A.Pour waste water into the rivers. B.Pour waste water into the lakes. C.Pour waste water into the sea. D.Clean the waste water before pouring it into the rivers. 5.What’s the main idea of the passage? A.Water is important. B.How to save water. C.How to protect water from pollution. D.Both B and C. Researchers said they had found out that there was once an ancient fresh water lake on Mars that might have been able to support life. A.可居住的 B.无法生存的 C.习惯的 D.不可能的 4.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage? A.The researchers thought it impossible for a fresh water lake to exist on Mars. B.Gupta thought of the new research as “a huge positive step” for the exploration of Mars. C.Researchers have taken great efforts to find signs of ancient life on Mars. D.The findings about the fresh water lake haven’t been published in the US Journal Science. 5.On which column of a book can you find this passage? A.Science. B.Travelling. C.Life. D.Education. 6.What is the passage mainly about? A.How did the fresh water lake disappear on Mars? B.Ancient life signs found on Mars. C.An ancient fresh water lake on Mars. D.The importance of water. 10 同步新教材,周周有练习,月月有重点! 15 同步新教材,周周有练习,月月有重点! 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
