After running away from the land of small people, my ship was caught in a terrible storm and hit a rocky shore (岸). When I woke up, I found myself in a country where everything was so huge! The grass was as tall as forest trees, and ants were the size of dogs. Suddenly, the earth began to tremble --- a farmer, as tall as a mountain, walked up to me! To my surprise, he picked me up gently with two fingers and put me in his pocket.
The farmer carried me to his house. His children shouted with excitement, thinking I was a living toy. The youngest boy tried to grab (抓住) me, but I quickly cried, “Please, kind sir!” The family were surprised. “It speaks!” said the farmer’s wife. From that day, they called me “Grildrig” (meaning “little doll”). The farmer’s daughter, Glumdalclitch, a kind girl of nine, became my protector. She made small clothes for me and taught me their language.
One day, the farmer said, “Grildrig should make money!” He built a wooden stage (舞台) and took me to the market. People paid money to watch me perform. The farmer asked me to work so hard that I had almost no rest. Before long, the queen (女王) herself sent for me. At the palace (王宫), I ate from golden plates and slept on silk cushions (垫子). But I felt that danger was somewhere: a monkey once carried me to the rooftop (屋顶), and teacups almost drowned (淹死) me. I missed home but saw no way to run away.

In May, 2025, the Smithsonian’s National Museum returned the Zidanku Silk Manuscripts (子弹库帛书) to China. These texts, written on silk, are the oldest surviving (现存的) books in China and the only known manuscripts from the Warring States Period (475—221 BC) (战国时期).
The manuscripts were found in 1942 in a tomb (坟墓) in Changsha, Hunan. However, they were stolen (偷) and taken to the US in 1946. Many people kept asking for their return because they knew how important they were to China.
After many years of effort (努力), two parts of the manuscripts, Wuxing Ling (五行令) and Gongshou Zhan (攻守占), finally returned home.
The manuscripts are made up of three parts: The first part, Sishi Ling (四时令) describes what people should do during different seasons. The second part, Wuxing Ling includes a chart (图表) and text about the five elements (元素): wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. It tells people what they should or should not do each month. The third part, Gongshou Zhan is about war. It tells the best directions and the best time to fight.
For years, experts studied these texts, uncovering their secrets. They show how ancient Chinese people understood nature, war, and time. Their return marks a big success in getting cultural heritage back and shows China’s growing ability to protect its history.
The two returned parts will be shown at the National Museum of China in July 2025. China will also continue to bring back the final missing part, Sishi Ling. As experts say, “This success proves that a weak nation loses treasures; a strong one revives (复兴) culture.”
28. How long have Wuxing Ling and Gongshou Zhan been abroad before returning to China?
A. 69 years. B. 79 years. C. 83 years. D. Over 2,000 years.
29. What can we learn from the passage?
A. The manuscripts were kept in a museum before the year 1942.
B. All three parts of the manuscripts have been returned to China.
C. The return of cultural treasures shows China is getting stronger.
D. Sishi Ling describes what people should or should not do each month.
30 How does the writer start this passage?

①You might see everything you see or hear on the Internet makes you more sure of what you already think. If this happens, be careful! You might be in something called an information cocoon (茧房) —a place where your own ideas keep coming back to you.
②This isn’t something new. Think about ancient times when people sat around a campfire. They only shared stories that their group believed and agreed with. Today, the Internet and social media are like our modern campfire. They connect people all over the world. But just like the old campfire, they also let people share and hear the ideas they already like.
③You might have noticed that social media ads (广告) seem to know what you like. This happens because of a computer program called algorithms (算法). Algorithms are like sets of rules that help computers do things. Every time you click (点击) likes or share something, you leave a “digital footprint (数字脚印)”. This helps algorithms learn what you like. Then they show you more of the same kind of content (内容).
④Information cocoons can make you feel good, but they also have some bad results.
⑤When you only see similar opinions, it’s hard to accept different views. This can make it hard for us to understand people who think differently.
⑥Information cocoons can also lead to more arguments and worries among people. This often makes different groups in society disagree with or do not trust each other even more. ▲
⑦The good news is that there are ways to break out of the information cocoon. One important thing is to look for different kinds of information. Also, it’s important to learn how to think critically (批判地). This means checking the facts and being open to changing your mind.
⑧By doing these things, you can break out of the information cocoon and see a wider world!
32. Why does the writer mention “algorithms” in Paragraph 3?
A. To say algorithms should not be used on social media.
B. To talk about how algorithms can be bad for people.
C. To tell the story of how algorithms were invented.
D. To explain how social media ads show what you like.
33. Which sentence can be put in the ▲ ?
A. But the Internet can also be good.
B. Some think algorithms are not safe to use.
C. This is why we need to solve this problem.
D. Many people like seeing the same things online.
34. What’s the best structure of this passage?
A. B.
C. D.
35. What’s the writer’s attitude (态度) towards the information cocoon?
A. Serious and angry. B. Worried but hopeful.
C. Happy and encouraging. D. Scared but meaningful.
【答案】32. D 33. C 34. A 35. B

Yin Qiuhua, the 19-year-old performer, was born with Down syndrome (唐氏综合征). Her mother, Zhao Haiying, has been looking for treatment for her and teaching her life skills. But Yin didn’t do well in any of them.
Things began to change in 2021, when Zhao met Lin Chun, a traditional Chinese opera teacher. Lin agreed to take Yin as an apprentice (徒弟) and teach her the face-changing art of Sichuan Opera.
Face-changing is hard for most people, and even harder for Yin with her learning challenges. Thanks to Lin’s kindness and encouragement, she kept going. During the first year, Yin practiced for up to eight hours a day. To encourage her and help with her training, Zhao stayed with her every day. After about 18 months of hard training, Yin gave her first performance at an event in Nanchong. The performance went very smoothly, and Qiuhua received a lot of applause (掌声). Her mother was so happy and moved to tears. Since then, Lin has received invitations, offering Yin the chance to share her talent on bigger stages.

【42题详解】

45. Fan Zhendong beat the Japanese player in the ping-pong game.(变为一般疑问句)
________ Fan Zhendong ________ the Japanese player in the ping-pong game?
【答案】 ①. Did ②. beat
【解析】
【详解】句意:樊振东在乒乓球比赛中打败了日本选手。变为一般疑问句:樊振东在乒乓球比赛中打败了日本选手吗?根据“Fan Zhendong beat Japanese player in the ping-pong game.”可知,该句时态为一般过去时,且谓语动词为实义动词beat,变为一般疑问句时,需要借助助动词did,并将其置于句首,首字母大写,同时谓语动词beat用原形。故填Did;beat。
46. I was cooking dinner when the phone rang. (对划线部分提问)
________ ________ you doing when the phone rang?
【答案】 ①. What ②. were
【解析】
【详解】句意:电话铃响时,我正在做晚饭。对过去进行时的动作was cooking dinner提问,需用疑问词What询问“做什么”;原句主语是I,提问时第二人称you搭配过去进行时的be动词were,遵循“What + were + 主语 + doing + 其他”结构。故填What;were。
47. Jenny is in Beijing. She arrived there five days ago. (改为同义句)
Jenny ________ ________ in Beijing for five days.
【答案】 ①. has ②. been
故填has been。
48. 直到孩子睡着了,她才离开房间。(完成译句)
She ________ leave the room ________ the child fell asleep.
49. go, so, rained, we, heavily, couldn’t, it, that, out (连词成句)
____________________________________________.
【答案】It rained so heavily that we couldn’t go out

Ⅷ. 读写综合。(每小题2.5分,共10分)
阅读下面短文,提取文本关键信息完成下面表格内容。
Research shows that helping others makes us happier. The key is to find the way that works for you. Giving can feel great. And the more you give, the more happiness you will get. Ready to start? Follow these tips.
The gift of time is often more valuable to the receiver than the gift of money. We don’t have the same amount of money, but we all have time. We can give some of our time to help others—whether a few minutes each day, or a few days each year.
Sometimes, the best way to help is to listen. If a friend is upset, let them talk without interrupting (打断), and say things like, “I’m here for you.” You can show your friendliness in this way and it can make your friend feel less lonely.
Ask your friends and family to join you. With more help, we can make bigger differences!
“Always giving to others can make you feel exhausted (筋疲力尽的),” says expert Adam Grant. It’s great to help others, but don’t forget about yourself! Just like you need to recharge (充电) your phone to keep it working, you need to think about your own feelings, and what you need to keep helping others happily and healthily. Remember, you are important, too!
Don’t wait to help others—start now! Look for one small act of kindness to do this week. You could hold the door for others or help a neighbor carry bags. These little things show people that you care about them.

【答案】例文
A Trip to Remember
Every trip is special in its own way. Today, I want to share one of my most unforgettable travel experiences-my trip to Beijing last summer with my family.
Beijing , with a long history and rich culture, is the capital of China. We stayed there for five days. During the trip, we visited the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City. Climbing the Great Wall was challenging but exciting—the view from the top was breathtaking! We also tried Beijing duck, a famous local dish, which was delicious.
What made this trip special was not just the sights but also what I learned. I realized how amazing ancient Chinese buildings are. Standing in the Forbidden City, I felt proud of my country’s history.

30. How does the writer start this passage?
A. By describing a recent event. B. By listing dates and numbers.
C. By comparing past and present China. D. By telling a story about the Manuscripts.

As the music began, a Sichuan Opera performer stepped onto the stage, walking, kicking and dancing to the music while quickly changing face masks. No one noticed anything unusual until the last mask was removed, and the audience realized that this performer was somewhat different.
Yin Qiuhua, the 19-year-old performer, was born with Down syndrome (唐氏综合征). Her mother, Zhao Haiying, has been looking for treatment for her and teaching her life skills. Zhao said, “I can’t take care of her for her whole life. My biggest wish was to find a suitable skill for her so that she can make a living by herself.” They tried almost every training course.
Yin’s success has inspired (激励) other families across the country who have children with Down syndrome. Many have contacted Zhao, hoping to learn from her and Yin’s experiences. Zhao said, “ 4 ”
