Teacher Teaching Aims: 1.Students need to know some words and phrases related to diving.  2.Students will enhance their thinking ability such as critical and creative thinking through reading poster, exploring structure of diary and discussion.  3.Students will write an adventure diary about diving. 4.Students will develop a positive awareness of environmental protection. Teaching important Points: The key point of this class is the process of exploring the structure of a diary about diving experience, finishing their writing and develop the positive awareness.  Teaching difficult points: Because of the lack of experience, students may find it difficult to finish their story, which means that the thought-inspired questions and learning strategy guidance are necessary. Students will watch a beautiful video about diving under the sea. And then they are inspired to answer two questions. In this way, their enthusiasm about this topic is aroused directly.  2. With two questions, students read the poster about diving to find more information of diving. 3.Students began to be asked to imagine having a diving adventure. They are motivated to discuss five questions:  1).When did the adventure take place? 2). Where did the adventure take place? 3). Who went on the adventure? 4). What happened? ( What did you see and do?) 5). How did you feel? Reading for structure: Students read a sample and draw a mind map to explore the structure of an adventure story. Intention:Through their corporation, information is sorted out and connected with each other,and the mind map is developed like this. Writing guide: Teacher tells students the procedures of writing. 1)Analyze the questions. 2)Make an outline 3)Analyze what should be written in each para. Finishing the article. Attention: 1) You are encouraged to use the correct structure to make your diary well organized. 2) Your diary should include these elements -when, where, who, what and how. 3) You are required to use some linking words, such as first, then, after that, to increase coherence.
