1. 新课标要求“根据主题内容,构建不同的词汇语义网,积累词块、扩大词汇量”。本节课在设计时,将主题意义引领下的英语学习活动观与词汇、语法教学相融合,通过创设与主题相关的真实、有趣的语境,引导学生在句子或语篇中通过阅读、观察、分析、理解、归纳去探索并理解运用目标词汇与目标语法结构的形式、用法和意义。
2. 基于新课标下的核心素养目标,本节课继续按照“学习理解—应用实践—迁移创新”的思路进行设计。
3. 强调学生在语言学习中的主体地位,引导学生积极参与符合其认知的、层层递进、相互关联、有真实情境的课堂活动,践行英语学习活动观,培养学生的跨文化交流意识、批判性思维以及自主学习能力和合作意识,通过练习和作业强调词汇、语法的语用功能。
教材分析
【What】本文的语篇是两封电子邮件,从交换生的角度分别介绍了中国的小提琴协奏曲《梁祝》和美国的乡村音乐。第一封是外国学生介绍中国的小提琴协奏曲 《梁祝》,重点描述了 《梁祝》音乐和故事情节之间相得益彰的关系,第二封是中国学生介绍美国的乡村音乐,作者在文中介绍了乡村音乐的主要风格,以及杰出音乐人约翰•丹佛和他的著名歌曲 《乡村路带我回家》。
【Why】学生通过阅读语篇,从交换生的视角分别了解中国的《梁祝》和美国的乡村音乐,从而意识到音乐是全球性的语言,通过音乐可以了解到不同文化,借助音乐可以促进跨文化交际。
【How】本板块语篇的类型是电子邮件,两封邮件共同的写作特点如下:邮件主体部分主旨明确、结构清晰;作为非正式文体,文章中有许多口语化的表达方式,例如“So glad to get your email.” “I bet you'll like it!” “Why don't you try to listen to some great country music?” 等。两封邮件也有一些各自的写作特点:第一封邮件在描述音乐、故事情节和音乐营造的氛围时,使用了拟人的修辞手法,如“as if whispering to the audience”,生动、形象地描绘了该乐曲的艺术魅力;第二封邮件在介绍美国乡村音乐时选用了杰出音乐人约翰•丹佛的著名歌曲 《乡村路带我回家》中一段经典歌词为例,来说明乡村音乐的特点,给读者以直观的感受。

Discuss with your partners and answer the following questions.
1. Listen to the whole piece of Butterfly Lovers. Choose a section that impresses you most. Discuss it with your partners and present a detailed description.
答案:1. What impresses me the most is the part when Liang and Zhu reunite after a long time of being apart. This part of music is so touching. At first, the melody sounds a bit light-hearted with the violin showing the short happiness of their reunion. Then the tone becomes very soft, symbolizing their deep love. Gradually, the melody becomes lower, slower and very sad. The melancholic tone causes me to visualize a scene where the two of them are hugging and weeping, with their hearts bleeding.
2. Both Alice and Harry enjoyed their experiences of music from another culture. What do you think of Alice’s opinion that “music is indeed a universal language”?
答案:2. I agree that music is a universal language. Sometimes we can still connect with the feelings expressed in a foreign language song without fully understanding its lyrics. It is a form of communication that does not require words.

缺点:
