一、 物主代词 (Possessive Pronouns)
表示“所属关系”,分两类:
1. 形容词性物主代词
作用:必须修饰名词,作定语(后接名词)。
形式:
第一人称:my(我的), our(我们的)
第二人称:your(你的), your(你们的)
第三人称:his(他的), her(她的), its(它的), their(他们的)
例句:
This is my book.(这是我的书。)
Her mother is a doctor.(她的妈妈是医生。)
2. 名词性物主代词
作用:独立使用(后不接名词),相当于“形容词性物主代词 + 名词”。
形式:
第一人称:mine(我的), ours(我们的)
第二人称:yours(你的), yours(你们的)
第三人称:his(他的), hers(她的), its(它的), theirs(他们的)
例句:
This book is mine.(这本书是我的。)
Hers is blue.(她的[包]是蓝色的。)
关键点:避免重复名词(如:yours = your pen)。
二、 名词所有格 (Noun Possessive Case)
表示“某物属于谁”,通过 's 或 ' 构成。
1. 构成规则:
单数名词:词尾加 's
the boy's bike(男孩的自行车)
James's car(詹姆斯的车)
复数名词:
不以 s 结尾:加 's
children's toys(孩子们的玩具)
以 s 结尾:加 '(撇号)
students' books(学生们的书)
共同所有 vs. 各自所有:
Tom and Jerry's house(共同的家)
Tom's and Jerry's rooms(各自的房间)
2. 用法:
有生命的名词(人/动物/国家等):
China's development(中国的发展)
时间/距离/重量等:
today's newspaper(今天的报纸)
ten minutes' walk(十分钟路程)
固定短语:
for goodness' sake(看在上帝的份上)
3. 与 of 所有格的区别:
's 多用于有生命的名词(如:the dog's tail)。
of 多用于无生命的名词(如:the leg of the table)。
例外:地理名称/交通工具等可用 's(如:the ship's captain)。

1. its vs. it's:
its(它的):物主代词(The dog wagged its tail.)
it's(它是):= it is / it has(It's raining.)
2. 复数名词所有格:
以 s 结尾的复数名词只加 '(teachers' lounge ✅,teachers's ❌)。
3. 无生命名词:优先用 of(the door of the room)。

用法
典例
形容词性物主代词相当于形容词,只能置于名词前作定语。
I am old enough to wash my clothes by myself.我已经长大了,可以自己洗衣服。
名词性物主代词相当于“形容词性物主代词+名词”,句法功能与名词相同,其后不能再接名词。
Lucy's strawberries are fresher than mine.露西的草莓比我的新鲜。mine=my strawberries

2.名词所有格
名词所有格表示名词之间的所有或所属关系。
规则
示例
’s所有格
表示有生命的名词的所有格-般在其词尾加-’s,以-s或-es结尾的名词只加-’。
my cousin's clothes我表弟的衣服 students' books 学生们的书
表示时间、距离、度量街、价值、自然现象、国家、城镇等无生命事物的名词,也可以加-'s或者-’构成所有格。
today's newspaper今天的报纸 two hours' ride 两个小时的车程
两人或多人共有某物时,只在最后一个名词后加-'s;如果该物为各自所有,则各个名词后都要加-'s。

为了避免重复,可单独使用一's所有格,其作用在句中相当于名词。

表示无生命东西的所有关系,of所有格由“of+名词/代词”构成。

双重所有格
双重所有格的构成有两种形式:一种是“of+-'s所有格”,另一种是“of+名词性物主代词"。
