When you hear hop (跳), hop, hop, what comes to mind? Is it a kangaroo, a rabbit, or both?
Both rabbits and kangaroos hop on their large hind legs. But, a rabbit’s front feet touch the ground and a kangaroo’s don’t! A kangaroo’s front legs are too short and look more like arms. Rabbits can be found all over the world and kangaroos only live in Australia. Which one do you think you have a better chance of seeing?
A baby rabbit is called a kit and a baby kangaroo is called a joey. Most kits will live in underground nests with their mother. A joey, however, will stay warm in its mother’s pouch. That’s a pocket in the front of her body.
Kangaroos have big legs and long tails. Some can be as tall as 6 feet, or 1.8 meters. They may weigh over 100 pounds, or 45 kilograms. They might have brown, red, or gray fur. Rabbits are very different from kangaroos! Most only weigh 5 pounds, or 2.3 kilograms. They have short, fluffy tails. Rabbits sit on their front and hind legs when they’re not hopping. Most rabbits will only be 2 feet, or 0.6 meters, long. They may also be brown and gray, as well as other colors.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
【答案】例文
Now many schools have extended break time between classes from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Many say it’s a good idea while others don’t.
I think extending break time from 10 to 15 minutes is a good idea. First, students need more time to relax after long classes. Sitting for too long is tiring, and a longer break helps them refresh their minds. Second, with extra time, students can do more activities, like walking outside, drinking water, or chatting with friends. This makes them happier and more focused in the next class.
To make good use of the break, students should avoid running or playing too wildly. Instead, they can play little games, take deep breaths, or make preparations for the next lesson. These can help them both relax and study well.
