Show students a definition of a survey report: A survey report is the presentation of the opinions of a group of people who have been asked questions about a certain topic. The aim of a survey report is to make recommendations, which is further used by businesses or organizations to make informed and sound decisions. 2. Ask students to underline the key words in this description. 3. Brainstorming: Ask students to figure out all the relative elements a survey report may contain. 4. Conclude that a survey report should answer the following questions: (1) Who conducted the survey? (2) When was the survey carried out? (3) Who are the respondents(受访者)？ (4) What’s the purpose/topic of the survey? (5) What questions are asked? (6) What are the opinions of the people?/What are the findings? Show students the pie chart of the sample survey report, and ask: What question is asked? What is the finding? 2. Show students the bar chart of the writing sample, and ask: What questions are asked? Show students the charts of the writing assignment, ask students the same questions. (1) What questions are asked? (2) What are the findings? 2. Ask students mark the numbers of the sentences in paragraph 2, 3, and 4; 2.
