第一节 听句子,选择最佳答语:新增了询问年龄等考法,比如“How old is your little brother?”

I“我”。根据“The Spring Festival is...favorite festival”可知,修饰名词favorite festival,需用形容词性物主代词,my“我的”。故填my。
故填is celebrated。
根据“for 14 years”可知,此处应用现在完成时,其结构是“have/has + 过去分词”,主语I是第一人称,所以用have spent。故填have spent。

My shock and surprise disappeared when I understood that this island was my salvation (得救). I began to shout for help to the people on the island. They did not understand me but they understood that I was in difficulty and made signs for me to move towards them. They moved closer and when I was underneath the island they sent a chair down to me on a chain and pulled me up.
The people on the island were friendly and accepted me but they were incredibly strange. They wore the strangest clothes and they all had their own personal man servant who carried a large balloon on the end of a stick. The servant’s job was to tap (轻拍) his master on his mouth or ear when he needed to speak or listen to something. This was because these masters passed most of their time in intense thought (沉思). They thought about the strangest subjects for hours and hours a day. And as a result they had no sense of practical things in life, such as speaking or listening, or looking where they were going.
I later learnt that this island was called Laputa. Some people took me to speak to the king. When we arrived at his palace, the king was lost in thought and didn’t notice me. I waited for more than an hour until, finally, one of his servant tapped him on the mouth and he spoke.
I didn’t understand their language and could not answer the king. One of the servants tried to tap me on the mouth with his balloon to make me speak. I protested (抗议,反对) very quickly.
“I know exactly when to speak and listen,” I told them. They understood the sense of what I said. But they thought I was a complete idiot because I did not pass my time in thought, too. Then after dinner, a servant came to teach me their language and tell me about life on Laputa.

The movie Ne Zha 2 has become a hot topic because of its great achievement of over 10 billion yuan at the box office in the world. It is another creative expression of Chinese culture following “Black Myth: Wukong”. The movie takes Chinese mythological (神话的) stories as the background. It tells about the story of Ne Zha, together with his friend Ao Bing, fighting against the bad men and unfair rules.
The Sanxingdui Ruins Site (遗址)
The Sanxingdui Ruins is in the northwest of Guanghan City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of about 12 square kilometers. It is a large ancient Shu culture site from the Longshan Culture period to the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties. It was first discovered in 1929 and considered as one of the greatest archaeological (考古的) discoveries of the 20th century.
Ne Zha 2 is not just a retelling of an old myth, but a celebration of Chinese culture. This makes the movie feel special Chinese. The film includes fun local things like spicy hotpot meals, characters speaking in Sichuan dialect (方言) and even designs inspired by Sanxingdui culture. It helps to share China's rich culture with the world. Many people think highly of it.
Tim Tommy (an American blogger): Ne Zha 2 has amazing voice acting and special effect, and wonderful storyline. If China continues to make movies as good as that, it’s going to have a really bright future.
Cavn Rose (an English living in China): I’m so used to western movies, like Marvel, where the characters are so flat and boring. The characters in Ne Zha 2 are more like real people. The best part of the movie is that it was made by the Chinese, for the Chinese, for the world to see how wonderful Chinese mythology is. This is not a Chinese movie made by western people who don’t fully understand the Chinese culture.
Wang Yi (a middle school student): Through the story of Ne Zha, I can see my own life and growth paths. The film made me understand that we should be brave enough to face difficulties just like Ne Zha.

Nobody wants to lose, but we must accept that losing is a part of life. After all, we can’t win all the time. However, we can learn something valuable from every failure (失败). This may help us succeed in the future. So we must know how to be a good loser.
We must not be afraid of losing. When we lose, just take it with a smile and look on the bright side of it. Failure can’t be avoided in our life. Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb (灯泡).When he was asked how he felt, he said that he hadn’t failed 10,000 times but had learned 10,000 things which didn’t work. We must know that history is full of examples of men and women who achieved success although they failed many times.
Losing is not very disgraceful. We must accept our failure and learn to take advantage of it. Remember that it can be helpful. Take action to walk out of it. When we lose, think about what we did and how we can improve. If someone else can help, we’ll be lucky enough. Maybe he or she has been through the same experience before. Many people enjoy helping others solve problems. This can save us a lot of time in learning how to avoid the same mistakes in the future.
We should face our failure when we lose. There is only one winner in every competition. Some win, while some lose. That is a usual way of life. If we offer the winners our congratulations (祝贺) and share in their happiness, we won’t feel sorry for our failure.
In a word, being a good loser will help us to succeed in life. It might be painful at the beginning, but there are many advantages. Good losers set examples to us, and most importantly, they finally win.
16.What can we learn from every failure according to the text?
17.In the writer’s eyes, why did Edison achieve success?
18.What does the underlined word “disgraceful” probably mean?
19.What does the writer advise the losers to do in a competition?
20.What is the best title for the text?
16.A valuable thing./Something valuable. 17.He saw the bright side of losing./He was not afraid of losing./He learned from his failures. 18.Bad./Terrible./Awful. 19.Offer the winners congratulations and share in their happiness./They should face their failure (bravely/properly/correctly). 20.(Advice on) How to be a good loser (Any reasonable answer is OK.)

Personally speaking, learning can be fun. It can give you something interesting to talk about. And it is good for your brain. Just as exercise makes your body stronger, your mind becomes sharper when you use it. Being a lifelong learner can also help you with your work or job. Knowledge in other areas can help you develop ideas in your present job.
So how do you become a lifelong learner? First, you should stick to learning new things even when it isn’t easy. That is to say, it may help if you find friends who will encourage you to keep on learning. It’s also a good idea to find time to learn in the day. Carry a book with you, and read when you have to wait. Audio (有声的) books are also helpful. You can listen to them while traveling or doing chores. In addition, finding ways to use what you learn can help you remember things. If you want to learn how to fix appliances (家用电器), try fixing some at home. When Justin Tong was a child, other kids felt sorry for him because his parents always made him do lots of housework, such as carrying out the rubbish and sending newspapers. But when he grew up, he was better off than his childhood friends and lived a happier and healthier life.
This is one of the cases of a 40-year study that followed the lives of 456 children in London. The study, led by Daniel Brown, a psychologist (心理学家) in the UK, aimed to find out the connection between childhood labor work (劳动) and later life success.
The study followed these children’s lives closely from a very young age. The researchers interviewed them about their lives at the ages of 25, 31, and 47. And they compared two things: how much labor work the children did during their childhood and how successful their later lives were. The study showed that children who did more childhood labor work had a better future. They were more likely to get good pay, overcome difficulties bravely and have good relationships with different people. That’s because childhood labor work can not only help children develop abilities, independence, and a sense of responsibility but also help them understand that people must work together towards common goals.
It’s never too late to start doing labor work today. Get ready and take on every task, no matter how small it is. Always remember, your labor work will bring you closer to a better and happier future.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to help our community and make it a better place. It’s good for both the people who get help and the volunteers.
Many people volunteer because they want to help others. For example, lots of volunteers work at local shelters (收容所). They help take care of homeless people. They also collect used clothes from the public and sort (分类) them carefully. After that, they give the clean and suitable clothes to homeless people. This makes the lives of these people a little easier. Also, volunteering helps volunteers learn new things. When volunteers teach kids to read, they learn how to be more patient. When they help clean up the park, they learn how to work together with others. These new skills are useful in their own lives.
Volunteering is also a great way to make new friends. Volunteers meet different people who all want to help. They can share ideas and have fun while helping others. During breaks in volunteer work, they talk, laugh, and share experiences. And when volunteers see the people they help become happier, they feel really good about themselves.

13.What is the Sanxingdui Ruins?
14.How does Cavn Rose like the characters in Ne Zha 2?

When most people graduate from high school or college, they usually think their education is complete. But in fact, it’s important to continue learning once school days are over.
If you’re learning a foreign language, find someone who speaks that language to talk to. If you’re learning facts about science, explain what you're learning to someone else. Then you can help that person be a lifelong learner, too!

Wolves and dogs are relatives, but they are quite different. Dogs like to stay with humans, while wolves don’t. However, there is an unusual wolf in the Kekexili Nature Reserve in Qinghai.
One summer day, a traveller first met the animal when driving through Kekexili. At that time, the wolf looked thin and weak. She took pity on it and offered it some food. Then she shared the video online. With the spread of the video, a great number of visitors came to feed the wolf tasty food, such as pies and chicken. Gradually, the wild animal learned to beg for a meal from passing vehicles by wagging its tail and rolling on the ground. In the latest video, the wolf has changed greatly in its appearance and behavior. It has put on lots of weight and acts like a dog. And more wolves are behaving like the wolf.
Some netizens joked that it showed how a wolf changed into a dog. However, many people are worried that feeding wolves may bring many bad results to humans and wolves. On the one hand, wolves are dangerous and may attack humans. Wild animals, especially injured ones, may carry viruses. So humans need to keep a safe distance from them. On the other hand, the feeding behavior is against the law of nature, which easily makes the wolves depend on humans. Also, too many visitors are harmful to their living areas.
In conclusion, though it’s important to protect wolves, humans shouldn’t intervene (干涉) too much.
46.Where is the unusual wolf?
47.What did visitors do when they met the wolf?
48.What does the wolf act like in the latest video?
49.Why are many people worried about the feeding behavior?
