Always 14 —It is good or bad, it doesn’t matter. Doing it is already good enough. 15 judging events and activities based on their results. Stop looking for validation for everything you do. This is harming you in more ways than you could think.

Yesterday, a 6-year-old kid came to show me his painting and asked me “How is it? ” I said, “It’s good. ” He came to show me another 1 today and asked the same question, “How is it? ” I again replied, “It’s good. ”
And then he said, “My friend told me it’s bad. He told me, I can’t draw. 2 you said, it’s good. Now, I’m confused. Is it good or bad? ” Before I could 3 he ran out.
It got me thinking, we also do the 4 thing. Every time we do something, we look for validation (认可). Sometimes from others and sometimes from 5
We are 6 obsessed (受困扰的) with this question “Is it good or bad? ”. Obsessions are part of human nature. Everyone is obsessed with something. But this one is especially 7 and is destroying your life in many unexpected ways.
One obsession leads to another. When you become obsessed with “Is it good or bad? ”, you also become obsessed with 8 rather than process. You only 9 the result.
Take this example—You tried a new recipe and you ask someone to 10 it. Now, what if that person tells you that it doesn’t taste good, or it doesn’t come out as it should, or you need to work on it? How will you feel? Of course, you’ll feel bad and 11 . That’s natural. But what’s unnatural is, you only care about that 12 . You only consider the last result—taste. All the efforts you took to learn and make that recipe and all the excitement you had while 13 it are gone. Because it’s not good enough. Your efforts, excitement, and energy counted for nothing. They have simply gone.
Always 14 —It is good or bad, it doesn’t matter. Doing it is already good enough. 15 judging events and activities based on their results. Stop looking for validation for everything you do. This is harming you in more ways than you could think.

Long ago in the forests of the Philippine Islands, soldiers developed a powerful weapon (武器). One day, my class teacher gave us a lesson about how to deal with stress. As she 1 a glass of water, everyone expected she would ask the typical “glass half empty or glass half full” question. 2 , with a smile on her face, the teacher asked, “How 3 is this glass of water I’m holding?”

In my ninth-grade history class, Mrs Bartlett announced a new project. In groups, we were to create a newspaper about culture that we were studying. On a piece of paper, we wrote the 1 of three friends we wanted in our group. Mrs Bartlett said that she would let us know the 2 the next day. I was 3 that I would get the group of my choice.
