Ⅰ.阅读理解
Ne Zha, the most successful film in the
summer of 2019,has become the alltime highest
grossing (票房之冠)animation (动画)film in
China. After the boxoffice success of Ne Zha,
Yang Yu,the director of the film has risen to
fame overnight.
Yang, who has himself struggled for more
than 10 years in his career is somewhat of a real
life model for the main role in the film. Yang was
born in a doctors family. As his parents thought a
hospital job would be stable, Yang studied
medicine in college. But his interest in animation
changed his life. When most of his classmates
chose to work as medical professionals after
graduation,Yang stayed at home for three and a
half years to make a short animation film. Yang
recalls that period was like “living in a space
station”,as his routine activities were limited in
their small family apartment.
A turning point came in 2009,when Yangs
directorial debut(处女作),See Through,was quite
a hit after it was released. The film got more than
30 awards at home and abroad.
The success inspired him to establish an
—681—
animation studio in Chengdu, but in the following
six years,Yang struggled to get help to fund an
animation film. In 2014, Coloroom Pictures
reached out to him for a film on the mythological
(神话的)figure Ne Zha.
Hiring around 1,600 members from over 20
animation companies, the film took five years for
production, with Ne Zhas new screen image—a
boy with ugly teeth and dark circles around his
eyes. It was a big change because over the past 40
years,Ne Zha had been played by handsome
actors in TV dramas and movies. “We wanted a
breakthrough and wished to convey a message that
its the inside personality that decides who you
are.”Yang explains.
1. What do we learn about Ne Zha directed by
Yang Yu?
A. It has become the highestgrossing film in
China.
B. It has already earned over 4 9 million yuan
so far.
C. Its success made its director very famous.
D. It is the most successful film in the world
in 2019.
2. What did Yangs parents want him to become
after graduation?
A. A director. B. A doctor.
C. An actor. D. A teacher.
3. What has Ne Zha changed greatly in this
animation film directed by Yang Yu?
A. Character. B. Action.
C. Language. D. Appearance.
4. Which of the following proverbs will Yang Yu
likely use to convey his message through the
breakthrough?
A. You cannot judge a book by its cover.
B. An early bird catches worms.
C. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
D. Actions speak louder than words.
Ⅱ.读后续写

头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
Many years ago,not long after I joined the
army,my unit was sent to the southwest of
Baghdad. During an attack,a bomb exploded 10
feet away from me, leaving me with a brain
injury. Since then,I had been living on our base.
I was trapped by anxiety and struggling to get
through each day.
One rainy night, when I sat on these cold
hard steps and stared out into the darkness,an
unexpected sound caught my attention.
“Meow?”
I looked up. A black and white kitten with
round green eyes looked at me. His head appeared
in the bushes a few steps away. He meowed again.
Then, leaping from his hiding spot,he ran slowly
right up to me. He was tiny and wet,but he
rubbed up against my legs. When I reached down
to pet him,he leaned into my touch.
That was all it took. I broke down. I cried,
the tears on my face in the cold rain. The kitten
just watched me. He stood there as if he knew how
desperately I needed a friend right at that very
moment. After I calmed down,I found this kitten
some food. I might not be able to handle my own
problems. I thought. But I could do something to
help the little one.
It became a routine. Every day,
Id go to the
—781—
back steps behind the military camp with a packet
of food. Usually, the cat was already waiting for
me. He became more than something to live for.
Over time he inspired me to get out from my
lonely and depressed state. I gradually
cheered up.
This practice continued for a long time until
one day, when I walked down the steps, hoping to
hear an answering meow or to see a flash of black
and white rushing towards me. But there was no
sign of the cat. For a long time,I still went out to
see if this little cat had returned, but he
never did.

pressed themselves against the bars, crying for
attention. Others watched silently with wide
eyes. Suddenly a black and white paw reached
out from between the bars, catching me on the
arm. I leaned down to get a better look at the
lovely kitten inside. His green eyes met mine.
I was shocked. It was him!I opened the cage
and took him out, holding him tight.
I named him Scout. He became not only
my close friend but also my family. As I went
through the process of my medical treatment,
Scout was always there. I officially left the ar

lonely and depressed man Scout had first ap
proached in the rain. How grateful I am to
Scout.
