Welcome to the unit part AA. Daniel is a member of the geography club. He is learning about the natural world with the club members. Listen to the introductions to some landscapes with them and complete the notes below. An ocean is a very large sea. Oceans cover about seventy one percent of the f surface. Then there's the desert. Deserts are very dry. They are often hot during the day, but cold at night. A forest is an area with lots of trees. Forests help make our air clean. A mountain is usually very high and covered with rocks and earth at the top. It's often cold. A river is an area of moving water. Rivers Carry water from high ground down to lakes or the sea. Finally, a plane, the land is open and flat planes cover more than one side of the world's land area.
