专题01 阅读理解之记叙文15篇(山东专用) (23-24高一下•山东济北•期中)Isadora Duncan is considered by many to be the progenitor of modern dance. To Duncan, classical ballet, with its strict rules of posture and formation, was “ugly and against nature”. She refused to accept traditional ballet steps, preferring to emphasize improvisation (即兴创作), emotion, and the human form. She said, “I spent long days and night in the studio seeking that dance which might be the expression of the human spirit through the body’s movements.” By making connections between human emotion and the movements of dance, Duncan hope to make dance a form of high art rather than simple entertainment. She developed free and natural movements inspired by the classical Greek arts, folk dances, social dances and natural forces. She drew on a number of sports moves, including skipping, running, jumping, leaping, and tossing. The athleticism and classical roots of her style are reflected in her innovative costume choice of a Grecian tunic (束腰外衣) and bare feet, which allowed for a physical freedom that could not be achieved in the traditional ballet costumes and pointed shoes that limited dancers. With time, she gained a very wide following and set up several schools in Europe and the United States. Duncan’s fame, however, did not bring her wealth. In the later years of her life, her financial situation worsened, and finally she had to live in apartments rented by friends and supporters. Duncan also received criticism for some of her personal opinions. In spite of the problems, Duncan is remembered today for her artistic achievements: the creation of modern dance and its high place among the arts. While Duncan’s own schools no longer exist, her style of dance continues to be practiced. Her life inspired novels, ballets, and films, and her likeness was included in the sculpture created by Antoine Bourdelle over the entrance of the Théatre des Champs-Elysees. 1.What does the underlined word “progenitor” Paragraph 1 probably mean? A.supporter B.operator C.originator D.competitor 2.What can we learn about Duncan’s costume choice? A.It included newly designed pointed shoes. B.It allowed dancers to move naturally and freely. C.It was white and extremely simple. D.It was introduced from Greece. 3.What is the main purpose of the second paragraph? A.To explore the connection between art and wealth. B.To characterize Duncan as a dishonorable person. C.To prove Duncan was admired by friends and relatives. D.To show Duncan lived a hard life in her later years. 4.What is Duncan mainly famous for? A.Inventing a new form of dance. B.Her great support for artists. C.Her special political views. D.Setting up many dance schools. (23-24高一下•山东日照•期中)When I was young, my mother was very much concerned for my happiness and was always there to support me. We had healthy boundaries (界限). When my own turn came for being a mother, I was determined to do so. But as my daughter and I sat down to choose courses for the seventh grade, I felt the boundaries begin to fall. Students were allowed three electives (选修课) each term. Several of these were year-long courses—band, orchestra, yearbook and Spanish, and the rest were random (随机的) — technology education, drama, leadership and PE. I hated PE in my own school days. We read the elective options carefully and sweet relief flooded through me. “You can sign up for band, yearbook and Spanish, and you won’t have to take PE ever,” I told her. I settled back into my chair, a weight taken off my chest. My daughter, however, frowned. “But I’m not sure I want to take Spanish. And I want to do the leadership class... and try drama!” I broke in on her words with more practical wisdom. “You can’t pick the electives you want, though. They’re organized randomly. So you might get drama and leadership..., or you might get gym class or technology education. You might get the classes you want, and you might not. Is it worth risking having to take PE?” Finally, she chose to take the chance and signed up for band, yearbook and one period of the unknown elective. I reminded myself she was not me. Watching your child walk into the trap of middle school is worse than experiencing it yourself. Motherhood, after all, is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. I am not going into the seventh grade again. It is my daughter’s turn. She is her own person, and while she is delicate and easily hurt, she is also stronger and more confident than I was. 1.What is the function of paragraph 1? A.To present a fact. B.To provide an example. C.To introduce the topic. D.To make a comparison. 2.Why did the author feel relaxed after reading the elective options? A.Drama was her daughter’s favorite. B.Her daughter followed her advice. C.There were many year-long courses. D.PE was optional for her daughter. 3.What did the author think of her daughter’s option? A.It seemed organized. B.It was uncertain. C.It was made at random. D.It sounded reasonable. 4.What does the author want to say in the last paragraph? A.Motherhood is rewarding. B.Mothers should learn to let go. C.Children should ask for help if necessary. D.Children are too young to make a decision. (23-24高一下•山东济宁•期中)Bookstores are amazing places. But when your community is too small to house a real bookstore, sometimes you have to be creative. A mobile bookstore that brings books around the country was the result. That is the case for Rita Collins, 70, who dreamed of opening a used bookstore after she retired from teaching. However, Eureka, Montana, located just seven miles from the Canadian border, only has a population of 1,517. Given this, she had to give it up. Later, while attending a business class from the American Booksellers Association, Collins asked her instructors about a traveling bookstore on wheels but they were doubtful. This time she didn’t give up. Collins was inspired by Dylans Mobile Bookstore, a traveling bookstore in Wales run by Jeff Towns. She contacted Jeff for advice but she was largely on her own when it came to setting up her bookstore. First, she had to find a vehicle which is large enough to stand in and mechanically (机械地) sound as well as easy to drive and park. A local mechanic helped her find exactly what she needed. Then she had to have it refitted with shelves that would hold the books at a 15-degree angle so that they would stay in place while in transport. Collins named her bookstore St Rita’s Traveling Bookstore. It has been on the road since 2015. For the first two years, St Rita’s was only a summer project. At first, she drove through Montana and then she made her first cross country trip across the US in 2016. After she retired in 2017, it became a full-time project from spring to fall. Till now, Collins and her 600-volume traveling bookstore have visited 30 states, benefiting countless people along the way. While Collins loves what she does, she doesn’t think she can always keep doing it. In a couple of years, she hopes to pass her traveling bookstore onto another booklover who will keep it on the road. 1.What discouraged Collins from opening a used bookstore in Eureka? A.Lack of enough readers. B.Lack of start-up money. C.Disbelief from instructors. D.Failure to find a location. 2.What’s Collins’ requirement of her vehicle? A.It should be fancy and colorful. B.It should be cost-saving. C.It should be practical and safe. D.It should be environmentally-friendly. 3.In which season did Collins close her Bookstore after 2017? A.Spring. B.Summer. C.Autumn. D.Winter. 4.What is a suitable title for the text? A.An Influential Class B.A Bookstore on Wheels C.A Specially-made Vehicle D.An Outstanding Retired Teacher (23-24高一下•山东泰安•期中)La Voce Ballo (LVB) which means “the dancing voices” in Italian is an all-women show choir at Bemidji High School in Minnesota, US. Established in 2004, the group has captured many awards, including Best Choreography, Best Vocals, and Best Band. Show choir programs in Bemidji draw in over 250 students to participate every year. Walking into the choir room during an LVB rehearsal (排练), you’d surely feel an atmosphere full of laughter, smiles and warm-ups. One of the marked differences between LVB and the other choirs, Director Emily Paine said, is the sister-like relationship the members share. During full distance learning, for example, the group participated in a “Secret Sister” gift exchange, similar to a “Secret Santa”, within the choir and dropped gifts at each others’ homes. The captains, Thompson and Kanani, agreed. “We’re kind of like a big family.” Last year, for some reason virtual rehearsals became the norm (常态) for LVB.“We have a computer set up in the middle of the room with students tuning in,” Paine explained. “Especially when we were hybrid (混合的), we’d have half of our students coming in person, and half joining online.” Kanani said the hardest part of online rehearsals was not being able to hear the other students singing, as they generally turned off their individual microphones during these video sessions. However, one perk of this, Kanani noted, was that she felt she had learned the music much more thoroughly than in other seasons. “I know the music a lot better than I have in past years,” she said. “You couldn’t rely on someone else.” Luckily, the group has gotten the chance to be back on stage recently. Members performed during the BHS spring concerts and then held their own LVB concert on March 20. 1.What do we know about La Voce Ballo? A.It is a local choir in New York. B.Its name comes from German. C.It attracts 250 boys and girls every year. D.It has won a lot of awards since 2004. 2.What makes LVB different from other choirs, according to Emily Paine? A.The members’ remarkable achievements. B.The way the members perform online. C.The close relationship the members have. D.The members’ tradition of exchanging gifts. 3.What is the most difficult for online rehearsals, according to Kanani? A.The choir room couldn’t function well. B.Members couldn’t hear each other singing. C.Members were afraid to perform all together. D.The choir had no experience in virtual rehearsals. 4.What does the underlined word “perk” in paragraph 4 probably mean? A.A bad effect. B.A special benefit. C.An effective solution. D.An unexpected challenge. (23-24高一下•山东青岛•期中)When I was 18, determined not to spend my last teenage year stuck in a village, I took off with an Australian friend and we traveled around Europe for months. We stayed in the cheapest accommodation we could find and live on bread. This was 1990, a time before mobile phones and the Internet, when the primary contact with home was the collection of mail from the post office. Before I left, Mom had made a money bag to wear around my neck. She’d also made me a sleeping sheet so I could avoid unclean bedding. She didn’t want me to go, and these gifts were her way of telling me to have a wonderful time. It’s only now, as my 18-year-old daughter is preparing to leave on her own gap year trip, that I have understood what Mom felt. Working many jobs and saving money, my daughter has researched where to stay, how to get around and what to do when she arrives. She seldom asks for my opinion and I don’t know whether I should back off or not. I want to be cool but not cold. I want to be like the perfect travel guide. When she first mentioned gap year travel, I was encouraging, wanting her to have her own experiences that shape her. I didn’t let myself think too much about her not being here. Our house has already got smaller in size and soon it will just be me, my son and the cat. And I’m not quite ready for that. But this trip is about her. Now, he’s spreading his love of nature across south London. Markov grew up on Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea, and learned to love nature in these tropical zones. In 2007, he moved to Lewisham, south-east London, to work as a teacher. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with heart failure in 2010. During the treatment and recovery, he read about a local award for best garden, and though he only had a front garden outside his flat, he thought the competition would be something to work towards. He worked on his patch for most of the year, planting seeds and plants, such as flowers, berries and herbs. Surprisingly, he won the best front garden prize. “I couldn’t believe it,” he says. “I nearly fell off my seat.” That was the start. Markov created a community nursery (苗圃) at the side of his house, and started planting bushes across the road. “I had so much beauty in my garden,” he says. “I wanted to share what I had.” He started offering guide to others. News of Markov’s green-fingered selflessness began to spread. “I go to someone’s property and give them advice on how to plant a garden,” he says. He delivers cuttings and seeds and helps people report plants, but everything he does is free. To date, Markov has helped six neighbourhoods embrace sustainable gardening. He wants to show people you don’t have to live in the country to create beauty. “It doesn’t matter how much space you have. Outside my place there’s a tiny square, tiny. Though I was the one who wore a women’s size 16 dress. I had never been teased or bullied (欺凌) in my school thanks to the help of my best friends. After I started to work, I decided to join the gym with my colleague. At the gym, I stepped on the scale to weigh myself. and when 170 pounds hit on the scale, it was the most terrifying moment. I thought after a few months of going to the gym and doing rigorous (严格的) works I would come down to 150 pounds. However, owing to the work stress and lack of time. I had to drop out of my journey. In 2015, I went to a gym again and began my weight loss journey — one that lasted for 12 months and concluded with me losing 20 more pounds so that I could be a bridesmaid (伴娘) of my best friend. I could hit 130 pounds on the scale. Sure I lost some pounds in the journey, however, when I again went to my old habits. I regained all the weight that I had lost. The day I reached my weight back to 150 pounds thanks to all the pizzas, sodas and junk foods. I was set on fire with motivation to change my life. Just as I’d done for the past few years. I again started to go back to the gym this time with determination and healthier eating. A little over a year after I’d started. I stepped on the same scale I’d first weighed myself on. I hit 110 pounds on the scale. It was the most transformative experience of my life — and not simply in the ways one might expect. (23-24高一下•山东名校•期中)Barbara Spiecke, now a research scientist at the University of New Hampshire, is deaf. As an undergraduate, she was surrounded by a mix of deaf and hearing colleagues. Luckily, she could use American Sign Language (ASL) - English interpreters provided by the university. It was a crucial support, but not without its challenges. ASL signs for complicated scientific topics don’t exist or haven’t yet been widely adopted. So, during her presentation, a large part of her focus was devoted to signing in a way that was most likely to avoid translation errors. The result was an accurate but awkward presentation. Spiecker hopes other deaf scientists won’t have to go through the same thing. So, she co-founded an organization, Atomic Hands, in 2018 to light “wonder and curiosity” in STEM. She had a goal: to create videos teaching scientific concepts using both ASL signs and English closed captioning (字幕). Along the way, Atomic Hands and other organizations have boosted the visibility (可见度) of STEM-related signs, promoting community involvement to improve, and standardize them. Since the foundation of Atomic Hands, a newer set of ASL signs for states of matter that visually explain the connections between them has gained broader acceptance. Atomic Hands did not create the signs—they came from the community—but the organization is sharing them via its online videos. Spiecker encourages other scientists to experiment with new signs and to offer feedback, good and bad. “When I teach, I constantly remind them that the new signs I show them are not concrete,” Spiecker says. “If they don’t like it, let me know, and I’ll use a different sign.” Spiecker’s goals also go beyond ASL. At last year’s Ecological Society of America conference, she presented a lecture on opportunities to diversify science communication, such as improving virtual access to conferences or creating audiobooks alongside printed products. Too often, she said, organizers only offer accommodations when it benefits the majority. 1.What troubled Spiecke as an undergraduate? A.How to communicate with her deaf colleagues. B.How to find a good ASL-English interpreter. C.How to understand those complicated topics. D.How to make her presentations get across. 2.What did Spiecke intend to do with Atomic Hands? A.Create accessible STEM content. B.Promote the quality of education. C.Involve people in scientific research. D.Invent a sign language for STEM study. 3.What can be learned from Spiecker’s words? A.She is open to advice on the signs. B.She loves teaching the deaf STEM. C.She is doubtful about her present work. D.She plans to adopt a new sign language. 4.Which of the following can best describe Spiecker? A.Caring and creative. B.Humorous and ambitious. C.Generous and smart. D.Determined and proud. (23-24高一下•山东泰安•期中)In 2019, a white-haired senior was awarded the Friendship Medal, the highest order of honor of China for foreigners. It was Isabel Crook. In her more than a century of life, she spent more than 90 years in China and cultivated (培养) a large number of foreign language talents for China. In 1915, Isabel was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. After graduating from the University of Toronto in 1938, Isabel couldn’t wait to return to China. With hard work, she and her colleague completed the survey of over 1,500 families in some villages in Bishan County. She recorded the daily life of the villagers in Xinglongchang with detailed field notes, which give the young people today some idea of the state of affairs in villages at that time.         In 1947, Isabel and her husband David Crook came to China to observe and study the ongoing land reform. A year later, they completed the study and accepted the invitation to stay in China for language teaching. One could hardly imagine the teaching conditions in the midst of a war. They asked their students to take small stools (凳子) with them so that they could give class everywhere. They tailored (定制) teaching approaches to suit students’ different language proficiency levels. Without handy teaching materials, they collected articles from English newspapers and magazines. In oral English teaching, Isabel asked students to watch their teachers in a given conversation first. Since there were no tape recorders at school, she had to perform the conversation again and again. Isabel retired in 1981, but she returned to Southwest China many times to set up scholarship for children from poor families. I loved the excitement I would feel when we went to watch these events, especially when the scores were close until the very end of the game. My meaningful attempt at sports began with T-ball at the age of three, progressed to the basketball court at six, and finally turned into a firm devotion to the game of baseball from the age of eight onward. One of my most memorable moments was at the World Series when I was eleven and played on the Texas Rattlers. The July heat was unbearable. It was the semi-final game. Sweating like a pig, we ran into the dugout for our last at-bat (上场击球); we were down one run now. I was the second hitter and captain of the team, and I was ready for this moment. In the next few seconds, I had the chance to show my strength as a hitter and my ability to be a leader under pressure by hitting a home run! We carried the day! As the team captain, I remember the time I had to give a speech to my team because we had lost an important game. I was nervous, but I knew it was my responsibility to cheer my team up when they were cast down. This experience has shaped my mind, making me become more independent, so I’m obtaining the ability to talk like a leader in front of my team and a group. Sports get it through my head that you can’t win at everything in life all the time. On and of the field, I am more iron-willed, disciplined (遵守纪律的) and respectful, and a better leader. I have had so many awesome experiences through sports, which have taught me much and prepared me for the future. B.He was a gifted child in sports. C.He had a busy childhood. D.He was fond of sports from childhood. 2.How did the author feel during the semi-final at the World Series? A.Stressed and tired. B.Proud and confident. C.Unbearable and down. D.Surprised and energetic. 3.What was tough for the author according to paragraph 3? A.Leading his team to face failure. B.Giving a speech before the team. C.Improving his leadership qualities. D.Overcoming his own nervousness. 4.Which can be a suitable title for the text? A.Interesting Life of Sports B.Life Lessons from Sports C.Deep Affection for Sports D.Special Moments in Sports (23-24高一下•山东枣庄•期中)When Bella Lin was 12 years old, she noticed that her guinea pigs (豚鼠) seemed unhappy in their small cage with “prison-like” bars. Determining to find an alternative to traditional cages for her pets, the now 17-year-old from Mountain View, US, began her designs. Lin experimented with many different designs and used around $2,000 (14,400 yuan) from her savings to start her side business GuineaLoft, on Amazon in November 2022. It sold nearly 11,000 cages and brought in more than $410,000 in 2023, according to CNBC Make It. Traditional guinea pig cages typically consist of bars, roofs, and either tarp (防水布) or plastic bottoms, making them hard to clean and often smell bad. At the beginning, Lin’s glass, open-floor cages offered more visibility and mobility (活动性), with a two-layered bottom. This design allows for the easy removal of soiled bedding by pushing it into a removable plastic tray (托盘). However, due to high shipping costs, the glass material was impractical, and the open floor caused problems for her smaller guinea pigs, as their feet would get stuck. However, Lin and her six-person team didn’t lose confidence. They dedicated late nights to researching and testing products. Her team handled the sourcing, manufacturing, packaging and photographing of the products. In the end, they chose acrylic (丙烯酸纤维), instead of glass, and used replaceable bottoms using biodegradable (可生物降解的) paper. The bottoms are easy to throw out, which is good for business: Once customers run out of the bottoms, they have to visit Lin's Amazon store again to buy the new bottoms. “Witnessing the effects of my products through customer reviews and emails is inspiring,” Lin said. “As someone who once placed great emphasis on academic performance, the success of my side business has boosted my confidence in navigating life beyond high school.” 1.What inspired Bella Lin to create a new type of guinea pig cage? A.Her observations of her pets ’discomfort. B.Her ambition to initiate a side business. C.Her interest in product design studies. D.Her desire to invest her savings wisely. 2.What problem did Lin discover with traditional guinea pig cages? A.Limited entertainment features for pets. B.High prices and lack of durability. C.Difficulty with cleaning and bad smells. D.Lack of visual appeal to owners. 3.Lin’s change to acrylic materials was primarily to solve_________. A.the ease of cleaning the cages B.the affordability of production C.the practicality of shipping D.the safety of the guinea pigs 4.How has the success of GuineaLoft influenced Lin? A.Strengthened her business drive. B.Built up her confidence in her future. C.Enhanced her academic performance. D.Raised her focus on customer feedback. According to the 25-year-old from Shanghai, creating this group was just an accidental decision, and she didn’t spend much time in it afterwards. However, park lovers from all over China and even overseas have voluntarily made it their gathering place. People share park experiences, post photos taken in parks, and offer recommendations and reviews about parks. “The growth of this group is the result of organic (绿色的) development, just like a park, where people naturally come together. The rise in member numbers also shows the increasingly important role that parks are playing in people’s lives,” Cheng said. Within this group, there is a saying called “20 minutes for parks”, which comes from a theory (理论) in the International Journal of Environmental Health Research. According to the theory, spending 20 minutes in a park daily helps to reduce stress, no matter whether people exercise in it or simply take a walk. With the help of social media, the theory has been receiving popularity among a great number of young people in China. Huang Bingbing from Shenzhen, Guangdong province, is a follower of this idea. She said that Shenzhen has many parks between office buildings. Over three years ago, when she was still working at an advertising company, she used to visit the small park downstairs during her weekday lunch breaks. “On the grass, I could connect with living plants and animals, allowing me to refresh my mind and recover from the stress of the workplace,” Huang said. 1.What did Cheng Yuyan think of her interest group? When she arrived at college, she was excited to continue her interest in theater and join the drama club. However, Shannon soon discovered that Albertus Magnus College’s Drama Club was no longer functional. This was a big disappointment for Shannon, who had always been surrounded by a theater community. Growing up, she did every show she possibly could, both in school and with community theater groups. Theater was more than just a hobby for Shannon—it was an important form of expressing herself. Feeling the absence of the theater community, Shannon was inspired to restart the drama club. She wanted to bring back the spotlight (聚光灯) and create a space for students who shared her love of theater to come together and create something special. Renewing a drama club that had been relatively inactive for years was not an easy task. Shannon received help from fellow students Giana Cagna and Kristian Lozada, in addition to English Professor Susan Cole. Together, the team shared emails and Zoom meetings to discuss the possibility of this effort and the next steps. By the beginning of Shannon’s second year at college, the club finally began to pick up. Despite all their efforts, there was still a setback. They needed to recruit (招募) students. The group spread the word and put up posters around campus, but the result was not very promising. The students soon turned to their friends, and in doing so, they were finally able to fill a cast and crew (演员和工作人员). Last month, the club successfully performed The Atomic Family from Outer Space—the club’s first performance in five years. The performance also received a Falcon Award for the best event on campus. It is safe to say we can expect big things from the drama club next year. 1.What did Shannon find after entering the university? A.She fell in love with theater. B.The drama club fell into disuse. C.Her university had a rich history of drama education. D.The drama club held events at her elementary school. 2.What was Shannon’s opinion of theater? A.It could bring people close. B.It was of high cultural value. C.It was a way of self-expression. D.It would enrich her college life. 3.How did Shannon’s effort turn out? A.It was a success story. B.It received mixed reviews. C.It was against all expectations. D.It achieved worldwide recognition. 4.Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A.Bring the spotlight back B.Fame is the greatest inspiration C.Unlock creativity through drama D.Youth discovers a better self on screen (23-24高一下•山东淄博•期中)“A good book is easy to find.” That is the message on a sign at Hernando Guanlao’s home in the Makati area of Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.” Guanlao has transformed his home into a free public library. 1.C 2.B 3.D 4.A 【导语】这是一篇记叙文,主要讲述了“现代舞之母”伊莎多拉·邓肯对现代舞的影响。 1.词句猜测题。根据最后一段中的“In spite of the problems, Duncan is remembered today for her artistic achievements: the creation of modern dance and its high place among the arts.(尽管存在这些问题,今天邓肯仍因其艺术成就而被人们铭记:创造了现代舞及其在艺术中的崇高地位。)”可知,邓肯创造了现代舞,结合画线词后的“of modern dance”可推知,这里是说邓肯是现代舞的创始人,progenitor意为“创始人”,与originator意思相近。故选C。 2.推理判断题。根据第一段中的“The athleticism and classical roots of her style are reflected in her innovative costume choice of a Grecian tunic (束腰外衣) and bare feet, which allowed for a physical freedom that could not be achieved in the traditional ballet costumes and pointed shoes that limited dancers. (她风中的运动才能和古典根源体现在她对服装的创新选择上,即希腊束腰外衣和裸脚,这允许了身体自由,这是限制舞者的传统芭蕾服装和尖头鞋所无法实现的。)”可知,邓肯对服装进行了创新选择,她选择了希腊束腰外衣和裸脚,这让身体实现了自由,不会限制舞者,由此可推测出,她的服装选择允许舞者能够自然顺畅地表演动作。故选B。 3.推理判断题。根据第二段“Duncan’s fame, however, did not bring her wealth. In the later years of her life, her financial situation worsened, and finally she had to live in apartments rented by friends and supporters. Duncan also received criticism for some of her personal opinions.(然而,邓肯的名气并没有给她带来财富。在她晚年,她的经济状况恶化,最终她不得不住在朋友和支持者租的公寓里。邓肯的一些个人观点也受到了批评。)”可知,第二段讲述了邓肯在晚年经济状况恶化,只能住在朋友和支持者租的公寓里,她的一些个人观点也受到了批评,由此可推测出,本段主要是为了表示邓肯晚年生活不易。故选D。 4.推理判断题。根据最后一段中“In spite of the problems, Duncan is remembered today for her artistic achievements: the creation of modern dance and its high place among the arts.(尽管存在这些问题,今天邓肯仍因其艺术成就而被人们铭记:创造了现代舞及其在艺术中的崇高地位。)”可知,邓肯创造了现代舞并树立了现代舞在艺术中的崇高地位,今天仍因其艺术成就而被人们铭记,由此可推测,邓肯主要因其创立了一种新型舞蹈而著名。故选A。 (23-24高一下•山东日照•期中)When I was young, my mother was very much concerned for my happiness and was always there to support me. 根据第一段“When I was young, my mother was very much concerned for my happiness and was always there to support me. A.An Influential Class B.A Bookstore on Wheels C.A Specially-made Vehicle D.An Outstanding Retired Teacher 1.A 2.C 3.D 4.B 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要介绍了70岁的Rita Collins从教职岗位退休后,开了一家移动书店。 1.细节理解题。根据第二段中“However, Eureka, Montana, located just seven miles from the Canadian border, only has a population of 1,517. I grow tomatoes there for my supper. The opportunities are endless.” Gardening gives Markov “the feeling of creating something from nothing and so much pleasure”. His dream is to create more green areas. Markov is making this corner of south-east London a paradise for all. 1.What can be inferred about Markov in paragraph 2? A.He worked as a gardener. B.He failed in the competition. C.He won an education prize. D.He turned out a green finger. 2.Which can best describe Markov according to paragraph 3? A.Smart and courageous. 1.D 2.A 3.A 4.A 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了芭芭拉·斯皮克,一位聋人研究科学家,她在大学期间使用美式手语进行交流,但遇到了一些挑战,因为ASL中并没有一些复杂科学话题的手势。为了解决这个问题,她于2018年共同创立了一个名为“Atomic Hands”的组织,旨在通过ASL手势和英语字幕教授科学概念,以提高STEM领域手语的可见度,并推动社区参与来改进和标准化这些手语。 1.细节理解题。根据第一段中“ASL signs for complicated scientific topics don’t exist or haven’t yet been widely adopted. A.It surely attracted people. B.It was a serious decision. C.It took her much effort. D.It got an unexpected result. 2.What does Cheng want to express in paragraph 3? A.People’s love for parks. B.The rise of the group number . C.People’s changes of lifestyles. D.The benefit of green development. 3.Why is the theory becoming more popular among the youth? A.The pull of the online media. B.Their need for more experience. C.The heavy load of their work. D.Their easy acceptance of new ideas. 4.What can we learn from Cheng Yuyan’s story? A.Hard work pays off. B.Great minds think alike. C.A small thing makes a difference. D.Success comes from joint efforts. 1.D 2.D 3.A 4.C 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文,主要讲述了Cheng Yuyan在豆瓣上创建的兴趣小组“我们爱公园漫步”意外地吸引了10万会员,这个小组成为了公园爱好者们的聚集地,人们在这里分享公园的体验,发布公园的照片,提供公园的推荐和评论。 1.细节理解题。根据文章第一段“Cheng Yuyan never expected that the interest group “We Love Strolling in the Park”, which she created by accident on Douban, a Chinese social media platform, four years ago, would now reach 100,000 members.”(Cheng Yuyan从未想过她在四年前偶然在豆瓣上创建的兴趣小组“我们爱公园漫步”现在会有10万会员。)可知,Cheng Yuyan对她的兴趣小组的结果感到意外。故选D项。 2.推理判断题。根据文章第三段“The growth of this group is the result of organic (绿色的) development, just like a park, where people naturally come together. Visitors can borrow the books inside for free. Guanlao says he hopes his library will inspire people to read, especially the young. The 72-year-old told reporters that his library includes books that all students can enjoy —— from young children in Kindergarten to older students in grade 12. And also his library has books for readers of all interests. His home is filled with thousands of available books. He calls his library Reading Club 2000. It contains many different kinds of books, or genres. Genre is a group of artistic, musical, or literary works that share a particular style, form, or content. “There are history books, novels, children stories in my library,” Guanlao added proudly, “and there are cookbooks, science fiction, and even medicine books.” Almost everyone can find a suitable book, all for free. He started his library more than 20 years ago when he set 50 books on the walkway in front of his home. Guanlao’s collection has grown greatly over the years ——thanks to a continuous supply of books from donors. Speaking of donors, he said, “They just leave boxes of books outside my house.” He has also started donating books himself. He sends reading materials to public schools in far-away communities. Guanlao’s efforts come at a time when reading ability among students in the Philippines remains low. The Program for International Student Assessment reports that reading scores in the Philippines are among the lowest in the world.
