Step 2 Work on la 1.Ask students to discuss in pairs about how sport and exercise are good for us and write down their ideas. 2.Ask some students to write down their ideas on the blackboard. Step 3 Work on lb 1.Look at the three pictures in 1b. Talk about them. Questions : Who are they? What sport does the boy/girl do? Is the boy/girl good at the sport?How do you know? 2.Distribute the reading material and ask students to read it carefully. 3.Have them fill in the blanks. 4.After filling in the blanks, ask students to discuss in groups about the students’ ways of keeping fit and what they think about them. 5.Explain the following language items by giving examples. Step 4 Work on l c 1.Read the accounts again and ask students to complete the table with information about how often they practise, and the benefits of their sports. 2.Have students share their tables with a partner and check for accuracy.Check answers. Step 5 Work on l d Ask students which activity in 1b they would like to try and give their reasons.Encourage them to share their thoughts with the class. Step 6 Work on 2a 1.Distribute the reading material about Kate's post and ask students to read it carefully. 2.Have them complete the mind map with information about how teenagers keep fit. 3.After completing the mind map, ask students to discuss in groups about what they learn from Kate's post. Step 7 Work on 2b Ask students to make a similar mind map about their favourite sport or exercise. Provide guidance on how to organize the information. Step 8 Work on 2c 1.Use the mind map to write a post about their favourite way to keep fit. 2.Encourage students to be creative and express their personal opinions. 3.Have students share their posts with the class. Provide positive feedback and constructive suggestions. Step 9 Work on 1 In group,ask your group members questions about their favourite sport or exercise.Take notes in the table.
