1 The park was . Everyone was home enjoying dinner.
A.noisy B.crowded C.empty
例2 Today is a big day for me. The last time I spoke in class was three years ago and it was . I tried to say /w/, but made a strange sound. Everyone laughed. I haven't spoken in class since then.
A.terrible B.beautiful C.exciting
Once there was a king and his daughter. The king asked his daughter how much she loved him. She said that she loved him as mush as she loved . Her answer made the king very happy. Salt is a simple thing, but it is very important. So the king thought his daughter cared a lot about him.
A.salt B.air C.gold
并列、选择关系:and; or
转折关系:but; however; yet
因果关系:because; so; for; as a result
递进关系:besides; what’s more; moreover; in addition to
例 I enjoyed speaking in public and got along well with people, so I felt it easy to win. But I
was that people would feel bad for me if I lost.
A.bored B.afraid C.excited
So instead of Mozart, I was listening to dance music. I couldn't myself talking in the same
rhythm(节奏) as the music.
A.mind B.finish C.stop
Secondly, space also has high levels of radiation(辐射) that can pass through our bodies and make us .
A.sick B.bored C.strong

Every year on March 14, mathematicians and math lovers around the world celebrate Pi Day. Pi is the ratio (比率) of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. The idea is 1 . Even Middle schoolers can easily understand it. But the exact value of pi is difficult to calculate (计算). We only know it starts with 3.1415926. The 2 goes on endlessly. The digits (数字) never repeat in a pattern (有规律重复).
People have 3 the value of pi for thousands of years. In the fifth century, Zu Chongzhi correctly calculated pi to seven decimal places (小数位). For 900 years after him, nobody 4 to calculate the number any further. That’s why pi is also known as “Zu’s ratio.”
Fast-forward to 2021. Some Swiss scientists calculated pi to 62.8 trillion (万亿) decimal places. It just took them 108 days, but it was a new 5 .
In fact, we 6 need more than 15 decimal places of pi. Then why did scientists still work out the 62.8 trillionth digit? Was it a 7 of time?
Jan de Gier is a mathematician in Australia. He says that calculating pi is like the Olympic Games. It is not useful in itself, but it teaches 8 about what is possible. We may never finish calculating pi.

1 The park was . Everyone was home enjoying dinner.
A.noisy B.crowded C.empty
2 Today is a big day for me. The last time I spoke in class was three years ago and it was . I tried to say /w/, but made a strange sound. Everyone laughed. I haven't spoken in class since then.
A.terrible B.beautiful C.exciting
故选A。
Once there was a king and his daughter. The king asked his daughter how much she loved him. She said that she loved him as mush as she loved . Her answer made the king very happy. Salt is a simple thing, but it is very important. So the king thought his daughter cared a lot about him.
A.salt B.air C.gold
故选A。
并列、选择关系:and; or
转折关系:but; however; yet
因果关系:because; so; for; as a result
递进关系:besides; what’s more; moreover; in addition to
例 I enjoyed speaking in public and got along well with people, so I felt it easy to win. But I
was that people would feel bad for me if I lost.
A.bored B.afraid C.excited
So instead of Mozart, I was listening to dance music. I couldn't myself talking in the same
rhythm(节奏) as the music.
A.mind B.finish C.stop
Secondly, space also has high levels of radiation(辐射) that can pass through our bodies and make us .
A.sick B.bored C.strong
