教学设计 课程基本信息 学科 英语 年级 五 学期 秋季 课题 Unit 11 Water (Period 3) 教学目标 通过本课时学习,学生能够: 1. 通过看一看、说一说等活动,了解中国傣族泼水节的传统习俗。(学习理解) 2. 通过文本视听、跟读模仿、动图演示等策略,在语境中学会核心词汇shine, go up, fly over, fall down, ground,并理解故事情节。(学习理解) 3. 通过问题讨论、小组活动等策略,运用所学知识准确完成学习任务。(应用实践) 4. 通过对开放型问题的思考与表述,了解水的循环过程,正确认识自我价值,树立社会责任感。(迁移创新) 教学重难点 教学重点: 1.在语境中学会核心词汇:shine, go up, fly over, fall down, ground并理解故事情节,了解水的循环过程。 教学难点: 1.用学过的语言知识回答开放型问题,表达自己的观点。 语篇研读 What:本语篇The journey of Little Water Drop为配图故事,情节围绕小水滴的旅行过程展开,小水滴从大海上升到云里,飞跃山川河流,最后为帮助口渴的大树们而停止自己的旅途,降落到地面,为大树们补充水分。 Why:语篇把小水滴拟人化,情节一小水滴想从大海上升到云里,激发学生打开思维,思考如何让大海里的一滴水上到天上去?同时渗透了为梦想大胆尝试的勇气。情节二小水滴在快乐的旅途中遇见了口渴的大树们,促使学生们辩证思考:小水滴继续旅行还是留下来帮助大树们?引导学生们形成主动思考的思维品质,树立一定的社会责任感意识。 How:该语篇从自然界万物互相依存的角度折射出人在社会中的责任。涉及自然现象的词汇: shine, go up, fly over, fall down, ground等,学生们在学习过程中理解水的循环这一自然现象,并能以小水滴自居,思考如何解决小水滴遇到的问题,大胆表达自己的观点。 教学过程 Pre-task preparations 1. Let’s listen. What can you hear?(播放音频流水声,引出课题Water) Where does water come from? How do we use water? Moral education:Water is very very useful and important to us. We should protect the water source. We should save water. While-task procedures Part1 Culture corner. ① Enjoy some pictures about Water Festival. What are they about? They are about Water Festival. In the world, many countries have Water Festival. For example, in China, in India, in Thailand and so on. ②This class, we talk about Water Festival in China. The Dai people in Yunnan, China, have a “Water Festival”. Water Festival is a traditional festival of Dai. What activities will be holden at this festival? What’s meaning of splashing water?(Drive bad luck away and bring good luck.) So more water, more good luck. Now, let’s meet a lucky friend. 【设计意图】音频导入简单高效,快速引出课题Water, 并复习本单元核心内容,随后运用泼水节的图片切入新知Culture corner的学习并适当拓展,培养学生的文化意识。 Part2 Read a story. 1. Learn Pic.1 Meet Little Water Drop ①Enjoy a video about Little Water Drop. Hi,I ’m Little Water Drop.              I live in the sea. Nice to meet you. Wow, it’s raining. I like the rain. Falling down , falling down . I want to be up in the sky ! ② Who’s the lucky friend? Who want to be Little Water Drop? ③ Let’s talk. Can Little Water Drop go up to the sky? Let’s enjoy the story The journey of Little Water Drop. 【设计意图】用小水滴的自我介绍引导学生自主学习,完成故事文本的填空,另外Let’s talk里的开放型问题激励学生积极思考,主动表达,思维能力与学习能力都得以提高, 并引出题目。 2. Learn Pic.2 Little Water Drop wants to go up to the sky ⑴ Enjoy the video. ⑵ Ask and answer about Pic.2. Can he go up to the sky? Who helps him? How to do? ⑶Look at the Pic.2 and learn the story. What’s the feeling in the sky? Where is he ? ⑷Say about water cycle.cool(受冷凝结) hot(受热蒸发) water水 water vapor水蒸气 cloud 云 Now, look at the Little Water Drop! Is he happy ? What does he say? What about his journey in the sky? let’s enjoy. 3. Learn Pic.3 Little Water Drop in the sky ①Enjoy the video about Pic.3. ②Look at the Pic.3 and learn the story. 动图帮助学生理解fly over的意思。 What can he hear? Who say it? ③Think and say. Read the story and choose.(小组阅读故事,选择合适的词填入方框内。) 【设计意图】通过看视频,学生可以更直观地了解水的循环过程,老师再加以讲解,帮助学生理解故事文本里隐藏的科学知识,学习任务的设计帮助学生掌握核心词汇,并在核对答案时尝试复述故事情节,有利于培养和提高学生的语言能力。另外Let’s talk的开放型问题引发学生共情思考,并分享自己的想法,培养学生的思维能力及语言能力。 Post-task activities 1.Think and say. Does only(只有)Little Water Drop help the trees? No. So many little water drops help the trees. 2. Enjoy the video about Didi’s Dream. What can you feel? Love, power. Moral education:One Little Water Drop has little power, but many Little Water Drops have more power. Everyone is important. 【设计意图】开放型问题:Does only(只有)Little Water Drop help trees?和课外视频《Didi的梦想》引发学生共情、深思,领悟One Little Water Drop has little power;but so many Little Water Drops have more power.的道理,并能认识到个体的重要性Everyone is important,正确认识自我价值。 3. Task2. Read the story and put the sentences in order.(同桌阅读完整故事,将下列句子排序。). 4.Think and say. Is Little Water Drop inside the tree forever(永远)? No. Photosynthesis can help Little Water Drop start his new journey. He will go up to the sky again. What will happen? You can think about it. 5.Enjoy a video about Didi’s new journey.
