Is space exploration necessary? It's a difficult question! There are two sides to every 1 To explore or not to explore, that's the question...
For: Space exploration will be necessary, because we will 2 overpopulate our planet, and use up our resources on Earth. In the near future, we will need a new planet to 3 . But to figure out how to survive on other planets takes time and efforts, so why not start now?
On the other hand, our innate (与生俱来的) curiosity and drive to explore is an important part of what makes us 4 . The day we lose 5 is the day we lose a part of whom we are. The space program offers 6 for us to be innovative (革新的), which in the end benefits society as a whole.
And look at a few things that were developed by space research: fire fighting equipment, satellite TV, GPS, artificial hearts, etc.. So it does help us in other ways 7 finding new planets.
Against: 8 trying to improve the earth, we are spending too much time and money on space exploration. If we can't get our earth 9 , it doesn't matter whether there are new planets or life 10 . We need to solve some of our current problems such as health, 11 , poverty, war and pollution 12 we destroy other planets.
It's amazing that we know more about the surface of Mars than we do 13 our own oceans. What we should do now is to explore our world a little more before going to another. Besides, 14 we waste this planet, and then discover that there isn't anywhere else to go? So it'd be nice if we focus on fixing our planet instead of trying to ruin others.
The debate goes on, but one thing is for sure: space exploration is 15 ,
