From this class, we’ll be able to…（小学生将本课学习目标读给小老师听） 1. Knowing signs: I can say T: You know we have learned some signs in Grade 3 and Grade 4. Do you remember these signs on the screen? Ss: Don’t shout. Don’t eat. Don’t drink. Turn left. Turn right. T: Excellent. Look, these are the signs in our daily life. We know Mike, Helen and Tim go to a shopping centre in Story time. They find some signs. Do you know what signs they are? Ss: Wet floor. No littering. No eating or drinking. No smoking. T: Great! What do they mean? Ss: ... means ... （设计意图:在正式学习本课内容之前通过展示本课的学习目标，让学生更清楚地了解和明白本课的学习任务。以复习旧知的形式帮助孩子积累更多的标识。） 2. Knowing signs: Read and retell T: Boys and girls, read cartoon time loudly and try to retell it by yourselves. We can find them in different places. And do you know what they mean? Umm, I’ll give you an example. Look, this red sign means we can’t park here. So the blue sign means we can park here. So can you tell me what this sign means? S: It means you can eat and drink here. T: Yes, you’re right. Who can tell me what blue signs mean? S: They mean you can do something here. T: Good. And why did the signs ran away? S: Because they wanted to go on a vacation. T: Good. We can find the answer from these pictures. As we know, the signs went on their own vacation. So what happened on the road? S: The road was in chaos. T: Yes. The road was in chaos. Did the signs go back to their own places? S: Yes. We can find the answer from page 25 to page 28. T: Nice work. Let’s check. From these pictures, we can know the signs went back to their places. So what can you learn from the picture book? Ss: Signs are important and useful. T: I can’t agree with you any more. And I think signs are interesting and colourful. （设计意图:选取与本单元主题相契合的绘本，增强学生的兴趣，拓展学生的思维，提高学生的语言运用能力。） 2. Reading signs：I can conclude T: We know signs are colourful. We have blue signs, red signs, yellow signs and so on. Can you tell me what each colour means? For example, blue means you can do something here. How about red, yellow and green? S: Red means you can’t do something here. S: Yellow means you should be careful. S: Green means you can get some information. （设计意图:了解不同颜色标识的含义。） 3.
