课题： Unit 3 The Seasons (Reading: The four seasons .) 授课时间： 学情分析 本节课的授课对象是705班的学生，是一节有关“季节”话题的单元主题阅读课。本班的学生英语基础薄弱，有相当一部分学生缺乏英语学习兴趣，不愿意开口说英语。本课将通过图片和视频来激发学生对英语学习的兴趣，培养他们敢于开口，乐于开口的学习心态。本课重点引导学生运用scanning寻读的阅读策略，提取有关不同季节的特征，进而提高学生的阅读能力。 教学内容 分析 What （主题和内容） 本课语篇是一篇说明文，主题是“四季”。作者介绍了四季的气候特点、每个季节的景物变化以及人们在每个季节中会开展的常见活动。 Why （主题和方法） 作者通过介绍四季的特征，帮助学生理解季节与日常生活的关系，并学会从不同方面介绍四季。 How (问题和语言) 语篇一共五个自然段。第一段是文章的主题句：每一个季节都有它独特的特征；第二段介绍春天的特征；第三段介绍夏天的特征；第四段介绍秋天的特征；第五段介绍秋天的特征。语篇是非常典型的说明文，语言简练，结构清晰，可读性强。 教学策略 在教育教学中采取小组加分机制及小组合作的方式，让成绩好的学生带动更多的同学学习，带动全班同学进步。设计课件时，加入了大量的图片提升学习的趣味性和直观性。并且，在读后部分，用视频的形式，对本节课情感升华的同时，提升他们对英语课堂的兴趣。 教学目标 通过本节课，学生将能够: 1. 通过分析文本特征，预测文章的结构和内容； 2. 通过找出关键信息，理解文章的内容，总结出每个季节的特征； 3. 激发学生对大自然的热爱之情。 教学重难点 教学重点：掌握本篇说明文各个季节的特征，并学会使用 “It is...”句型。 教学难点：运用图表理清文章的结构和主要内容；能用简单口语介绍四季。 教学过程 步骤 教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Step 1. Talk in pairs about students’ favourite season and reasons. To get students interested in the topic of this unit. Step 2. Pre-reading: Guide the students to complete the poem. Guide the students to pay attention to the title, sub-heading and the first paragraph on the book and answer the qusetions. Fill in the blanks according to the keywords. Look at the title, sub-heading and the first paragraph on the book. To arouse students’ interest in the topic of this unit and prepare for the learning of the article. Step 3: Fast reading Guide students to do the exercise. Read the passage quickly and match right descriptions with the seasons To have a quick understanding of the article and grasp the main idea of each paragraph. Step 4: Careful Reading Help the Students finish the exercises. Guide students to read each paragraph and to know how to describe the weather, changes and activities of each season. Read carefully again and write down the correct answers on the answer sheet. 1. Read Spring (1)fill in the blankets and use sentence structure “It is...”. Invite students to show their performance Guide the students to make a short speech in 1 minute about “the best season”. Ask students to watch a short vedio and answer the question “What can you learn from in this vedio?” Work in pairs to use the key words to introduce weather, plants and animals and activities of each season. Show their performance bravely and confidently. Use what students have learnt in today’s lesson to give a short speech freely. Watch the vedio carefully and express their opinions. To develop students’ speaking ability. Step 6 Summary Ask the students to summarize the passage together. Summarize the passage together according to the mind map.
