重 点 语 法
语言随着人类社会的发展而演变, 词汇
的创造有一定的规律, 而构词法就是一种普
遍的规律。 英语构词法不只是词形的变化,
其实质是词义的转化。
(

) 合成法: 把两个或两个以上独立且语义
不同的单词合成一个新词。 合成词的词
义通常可以由组成它的单词的词义推测
出来。

合成名词
news+paper=newspaper

合成动词
baby+sit=babysit

合成形容词
heart+felt=heartfelt

其他合成词
every+one=everyone

) 派生法: 在词根上加前缀或后缀, 构成
新词。 例如: 常见表否定的前缀有
dis鄄,
im鄄, in鄄, non鄄, un鄄
等 ; 常见表名词的后
缀有
鄄er, 鄄or, 鄄ment, 鄄tion, 鄄ship
等。

) 转化法: 把一种词性转化为另一种词
性, 词形不变。 转化后的词义可以通过
原词义推断出来。 可以动词转化为名
词, 名词转化为动词, 形容词转化为名
词或形容词转化为动词。 例如:

) 缩略法: 用单词或短语的部分内容指代
整体。
