English is not my first language, so it was not easy for me to learn it. I was a slow learner when I was little. Before five, I couldn't even speak in full sentences. My learning problems were the result of my mother taking medicine. The medicine influenced my early intellectual(智力的) development.
At the age of 13, I found myself to be very interested in English. I developed a habit of reading English magazines, listening to English programs, and keeping an English diary. In order to improve my speaking ability, I often told my friends many stories in English. I kept teaming, and realized that no matter how hard my situation was, I could choose to move on, rather than give up. After studying English for ten years, I successfully passed the TOEFL and decided to go to America for higher education. And now I am an English teacher.
I encourage people not to give up when they have difficulties. Give yourself one more chance to succeed. Success has less to do with IQ(智商) and more to do with hard work, faith(信·心) and persistence(坚持). No matter what you are interested in, you just need to set a goal and keep working towards it. Have faith and never give up, and your hard work will pay off.

Suddenly, a smile appeared on Mary's face. From the desk she got a box filled with pencils. "Look, Donnie," she said kindly. "I've got something to show you. " She took out the pencils and placed them on his desk.
"Look at these pencils, Donnie," she continued. "They are Mrs. Landon's. See how the erasers are worn(磨损)? That's because we make mistakes, too. But we erase the mistakes and try again. That's what you should learn to do, too. "
She kissed him and stood up. "Here," she said, "I'll leave one of these pencils on your desk, so you'll remember that everybody makes mistakes, even teachers. How are you ? I,m really glad that you are interested in the Mid-Autumn Festival Now, I’d like to tell you something about it.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month every year.
This year my parents and I celebrated it with my grandparents. We had lots of fun that day.At noon,my whole family got together and had a big dinner. At night, weadmired the full moon, shared delicious mooncakes and fruits. What's more, my grandmother told us the folk story of Chang'e. How interesting it is!
It is my favorite festival because the full moon is a symbol of reunion and good luck. It makes me feel very happy to be with my family!
Best wishes!
