(2024·九省联考)
For
lots
of
kids,
toddlerhood
(幼儿期)
is
an
important
time
for
friendship.
Studies
show
that
the
earlier
kids
learn
to
form
positive
relationships,
the
better
they
are
at
relating
to
others
as
teenagers
and
adults.
Playing
together
also
helps
these
kids
practice
social
behaviors,
such
as
kindness,
sharing,
and
cooperation.
Even
so,
how
quickly
your
child
develops
into
a
social
creature
may
also
depend
on
his
temperament
( 性 格 ) .
Some
toddlers
are
very
social,
but
others
are
shy.
In
addition,
the
way
that
toddlers
demonstrate
that
they
like
other
children
is
markedly
different
from
what
adults
think
of
as
expressions
of
friendship.
Research
at
Ohio
State
University
in
Columbus
found
that
a
toddlers
way
of
saying
“ I
like
you”
during
play
is
likely
to
come
in
the
form
of
copying
a
friends
behavior.
This
seemingly
unusual
way
of
demonstrating
fondness
can
result
in
unpleasant
behavior.
Regardless
of
how
much
they
like
a
playmate,
they
may
still
grab
his
toys,
refuse
to
share,
and
get
bossy.
But
experts
say
that
this
is
a
normal
and
necessary
part
of
friendship
for
kids
this
age.
Through
play
experiences,
toddlers
learn
social
rules.
Thats
why
its
so
important
to
take
an
active
role
in
your
toddlers
social
encounters
by
setting
limits
and
offering
frequent
reminders
of
what
they
are.
When
you
establish
these
guidelines,
explain
the
reasons
behind
them.
Begin
by
helping
your
child
learn
sympathy
(“Ben
is
crying.
Whats
making
him
so
sad?”),
then
suggest
how
he
could
resolve
the
problem
(“Maybe
he
would
feel
better
if
you
let
him
play
the
ball. ”) .
When
your
child
shares
or
shows
empathy
( 同理心)
toward
a
friend,
praise
him
(“ Ben
stopped
crying!
You
made
him
feel
better. ”) .
Another
way
to
encourage
healthy
social
interaction
is
by
encouraging
kids
to
use
words—
not
fists—to
express
how
they
feel.
Its
also
important
to
be
mindful
of
how
your
childs
personality
affects
playtime.
Kids
are
easy
to
get
angry
when
theyre
sleepy
or
hungry,
so
schedule
playtime
when
theyre
refreshed.
1. What
does
it
indicate
when
toddlers
copy
their
playmates
behavior?
A. They
are
interested
in
acting.
B. They
are
shy
with
the
strangers.
C. They
are
fond
of
their
playmates.
D. They
are
tired
of
playing
games.
2. What
does
the
author
suggest
parents
do
for
their
kids?
A. Design
games
for
them.
B. Find
them
suitable
playmates.
C. Play
together
with
them.
D. Help
them
understand
social
rules.
3. What
is
the
function
of
the
quoted
statements
in
paragraph
4?
A. Giving
examples.
B. Explaining
concepts.
C. Providing
evidence.
D. Making
comparisons.

For
decades,
the
message
to
students
in
the
United
States
has
been
nearly
the
same:You
need
to
go
to
college.
Students
have
heard
this
message
loud
and
clear,
ever
since
their
childhood.
However,
while
encouraging
students
to
further
their
education
after
high
school
is
a
noble
and
well-intentioned
action,
the
current
system
in
the
United
States
has
created
some
damaging
side
effects.
The
largest
and
most
well-known
consequence
is
the
student
debt.
Tuition
and
fees
at
four-year
universities
have
risen
by
around
54%
since
1999.
Total
student
debt
in
the
US
is
estimated
at
around
$1. 6
trillion,
so
much
that
even
the
worlds
richest
man
Jeff
Bezos
would
have
to
increase
his
wealth
by
nearly
nine
times
to
pay
off
all
of
it.
Although
the
price
of
acquiring
a
bachelors
degree
has
gone
up,
the
relative
value
of
having
the
actual
degree
has
been
watered
down
by
the
fact
that
holding
a
degree
is
now
an
expectation,
not
a
bonus.
The
poor
return
on
investment
is
also
evidenced
by
the
massive
waves
of
students
earning
degrees
in
fields
where
there
simply
are
not
enough
jobs
for
the
number
of
graduates,
leaving
young
adults
in
debt
and
out
of
work.
The
push
for
students
to
go
to
college
has
also
prevented
them
from
considering
careers
in
important
fields
that
dont
necessarily
require
a
four-year
degree,
such
as
construction
and
manufacturing.
Despite
the
good
pay
and
benefits
in
these
industries,
the
lack
of
new
blood
has
led
to
growing
shortages
of
both
workers
and
skills,
causing
delays
and
higher
costs
in
projects
like
road
repairs
and
infrastructure
( 基 础 设 施 )
improvements.
Colleges
and
universities
remain
critical
to
our
nation.
But
as
a
society,
it
would
benefit
us
greatly
to
acknowledge
that
college
isnt
the
only
form
of
higher
education
and
career
preparation.
Students
and
young
adults
have
more
options
than
they
think
and
informing
them
of
those
opportunities
can
go
a
long
way
toward
making
higher
education
as
a
whole
more
effective,
efficient
and
affordable.
5. How
does
the
writer
support
his
argument
in
paragraph
2?
A. By
providing
examples.
B. By
giving
numbers.
C. By
explaining
the
logic.
D. By
showing
the
effects.
6. What
does
the
underlined
expression “ watered
down”mean
in
paragraph
3?
A. Reduced. B. Increased.
C. Reflected. D. Ignored.
7. What
keeps
students
away
from
industries
like
construction?
A. Low
salaries
and
benefits.
B. High
degree
requirements.
C. The
trend
of
going
to
college.
D. The
lack
of
job
opportunities.
8. Which
is
the
most
suitable
title
for
the
text?
A. How
College

End
up
in
Debt
B. What
A

C. Who

Why
Should
You
Stop
Yelling
(吼叫)
at
Your
Kids
It
doesnt
make
you
look
authoritative.
It
makes
you
look
out
of
control
to
your
kids.
1
Yelling,
similar
to
spanking
( 打屁股),
is
the
response
of
a
person
who
doesnt
know
what
else
to
do.
The
use
of
spanking
to
discipline
children
has
been
in
decline
for
50
years.
But
yelling?
2
Households
with
regular
shouting
incidents
tend
to
have
children
with
lower
self-esteem
(自尊

and
higher
rates
of
depression.
A
study
in
The
Journal
of
Child
Development
demonstrated
that
-481-

yelling
produces
results
similar
to
physical
punishment
in
children.
3
But
most
parents
find
it
hard
to
imagine
how
to
get
through
the
day
without
yelling.
The
new
research
on
yelling
presents
parents
with
two
problems:What
do
I
do
instead? And
how
do
I
stop?
Dr
Kazdin
promotes
a
programme
called
the
ABCs,
which
stands
for
antecedents
( 前 情 ),
behaviours
and
consequences.
The
antecedent
is
the
setup,
telling
a
child,
specifically,
what
you
want
them
to
do
before
you
want
them
to
do
it.
4
And
the
consequence
involves
an
expression
of
approval
when
that
behaviour
is
performed,
an
expression
of
praise
with
an
accompanying
physical
gesture
of
approval.
5
Instead
of
yelling
at
your
kid
every
night
for
the
shoes
thrown
across
the
floor,
ask
him
in
the
morning
if
he
can
put
his
shoes
away
when
he
comes
home.
Make
sure
when
you
come
home
that
you
put
your
own
shoes
away.
And
if
your
child
puts
his
shoes
away,
or
even
puts
them
closer
to
where
theyre
supposed
to
be,
tell
him
that
he
did
a
great
job
and
then
hug
him.
A. It
hurts
your
kids
a
little.
B. It
makes
you
look
weak.
C. Lets
take
making
kids
putting
away
their
shoes
as
an
example.
D. Behaviours
are
where
the
behaviour
is
defined
and
shaped
by
parents.
E. Behavioural
problems
need
a
long-term
joint
efforts
of
parents
and
teachers.
F. Almost
everybody
still
yells
at
their
kids
sometimes,
even
the
parents
who
know
it
doesnt
work.
G. It

levels
of

and
depression

with
an
increase
in
behavioural
problems.

Ⅲ. 阅读七选五
[语篇解读]本文是一篇说明文。 文章主
要介绍了父母应该停止对自己的孩子大
喊大叫的原因。
1. B 根据上文“ It
doesnt
make
you
look
authoritative.
It
makes
you
look
out
of
control
to
your
kids. ”可知,对自己的孩
子大喊大叫会让你看起来对孩子失去
了控制。 选项 B“这会让你看起来很软
弱。”与上文衔接密切,语义连贯。
2. F 根据上文“The
use
of
spanking
to
discipline
children
has
been
in
decline
for
50
years.
But
yelling?”可推知,接
下来应该是对“吼叫”的现状进行介
绍,所以选项 F“几乎每个人有时都会
对自己的孩子大喊大叫,即使是那些
知道这没有用的父母。”符合语境。
3. G 根据上文“A
study
in
The
Journal
of
Child
Development
demonstrated
that
yelling
produces
results
similar
to
physi-
cal
punishment
in
children. ”可知,接下

和抑郁的程度,同时行为问题也会增
加。”符合语境。

Kazdin
promotes
a
programme
called
the
ABCs,
which
stands
for
antecedents (前情),
behav-
iours
and
consequences.
The
antecedent
is
the
setup,
telling
a
child,
specifical-
ly,
what
you
want
them
to
do
before
you
want
them
to
do
it. ” 以及空后的
“And
the
consequence
involves
an
ex-
pression
of
approval
when
that
behaviour
is
performed,
an
expression
of
praise
with
an
accompanying
physical
gesture
of
approval. ”可知,上文介绍了前置条
件,后文谈到了后果,空处应该谈的是
行为。 所以选项 D“行为是父母对行
为进行定义和塑造。”符合语境。
5. C 根据下文“ Instead
of
yelling
at
your
kid
every
night
for
the
shoes
thrown
across
the
floor,
ask
him
in
the
morning
if
he
can
put
his
shoes
away
when
he
comes
home. ”可知,本段举例说明如
何避免对孩子大喊大叫。 所以选项 C
“让我们以让孩子把鞋子收起来为
例。”符合语境。

舞了更多人参与其中。
1. relaxed 考查形容词。 句意:生活在树
林和郁郁葱葱的绿色植物中让我感到

offered 考查动词时态和语态。
句意:从中国顶尖的大学之一南京大
学毕业之后,他在南京的一家公司找

提供工作,因此使用被动语态,又因为
这是发生在过去的事,因此用一般过
去时。 故填 was
offered。
3. to
realize 考查不定式。 句意:让人惊
讶的是,他拒绝了这份工作,然后来到

目之外,袁还关注学生的全面发展。
focus
on 是固定搭配,表示 “关注,专
注于”。

受到袁的故事的鼓励,从 2016 年起,一
些大学生在暑假期间来到村里教学。

students 和 encourage 之间是被动关系,
故要使用过去分词。 另外在句首,首
字母大写。
10. have
come 考查时态。 句意同上。
根据后面的 since
2016 可知,本空应
该使用现在完成时。
