Have you ever dreamed of traveling in space? It was impossible a hundred years ago, nor was it 50 years ago. With the coming of the Space Age, man’s dream of visiting the moon or planets has come true.
The journey to the moon has been the first step towards future explorations (探索) in space. The distance (距离) between the moon and the Earth is very short indeed when compared with the distances between Earth and the other planets. Mars, the nearest planet to Earth is millions of miles away! Traveling to the planets or travels between planets will be man’s next aim. Such travels will be more difficult than the trip to the moon and certainly more exciting.
Recently, two American unmanned spacecraft, Vikings I and 2, landed on Mars in order to discover whether that planet had any life on it. So far they haven’t found any life. Russian space-probes have discovered that the surface of Venus (金星) is so hot that it is almost certain that there is no life there.
Scientists believe that in the future, people can build space stations in space. Spaceships of the future will be bigger and faster. They will be able to carry passengers for trips to the moon or planets. But man should realize that the Earth will be his only home for a long time and begin to value and care for it.

Sometimes the hardest thing about feelings is sharing them with others. Sharing your feelings helps you both when your feelings are good and when they aren’t so good. Sharing also helps you get close to people who you care about and who care about you.
Before you can share your feelings with someone, you have to know what feelings you have. Making a list of your feelings can help. You can do this in your head or by writing them down on a piece of paper, or even by drawing pictures.
If you’re feeling sad, worried or upset, you’d better tell someone. If you keep such feelings locked inside, they can even make you sick! So if you talk with someone who cares about you, like your mom or dad, you will start to feel better. But what if you don’t want to talk with your mom or dad? Then find another trusted adult. Maybe this person can help you talk with your mom and dad about your problem.
When you have known who you can talk with, you need to pick a time and a place to talk. If you think it’s hard to say what’s in your mind, write it down on a piece of paper. If the person doesn’t understand what you mean, try explaining it in a different way. Is there anything you think could be done to make things better? If so, say it.
47. Sometimes sharing feelings with others is the most ________ thing about feelings.
A. useless B. popular C. difficult D. important
48. The third paragraph mainly tells us ________.
A. how to say what we think about B. why we need to share our feelings
C. what we need to talk with parents about D. where we can talk about our feelings
49. Which of the following is NOT true according to the passage?
A. Sharing feelings helps you to get close to people.

C. Living on the moon
D. Living on the Mars

B. Keeping bad feelings locked inside can make you sick.
C. It isn’t helpful that you share your good feelings with others.
D. You’ll feel better if you share your bad feelings with someone.
