On average , Chinese Internet user each spend two hours a day on social media , a total of 730 hours each year.
The average age of social media users in China in 2017 was 33.1 years old , as against 32.4 in 2016 and 31.2 in 2015.
The top four negative aspects of social media as ranked by Chinese users are: reduced time for reading printed books , worsened eyesight , privacy and information security concerns , and reduced sleep time.
