It features visiting many places of interest in a short period, most often on weekends. Most of these visitors are college students, reported China Youth Daily.  Yu Yinghua in Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance is one of them. The 22-year-old started her tour in March after being deeply touched by such travels of Xiaohongshu bloggers(博主). “Trapped in school for almost 3 years because of COVID-19, I’m now hungry to take trips,” said Yu.  ① Most of her trips were started from her daily life, such as a chat with friends. “But making a plan carefully for the trip is important,” Yu said. She found lots of information before travelling. That would help save time when travelling and enjoy the places better.  ② Her last trip was to Shanghai. Starting at 7 am, the 22-year-old visited nine local places. “That day, I walked almost 30,000 steps,” Yu said, “Though it’s a bit tiring, I enjoy this trip as much as days-long trips.”  ③ Unlike Yu travelling in nearby cities, Chen Junjun, a doctoral (博士学位的) student in Shanghai, likes to travel far to get herself free from schoolwork. In April, the 24-year-old took a two-day trip to Xi’an, Shaanxi. During her trip, she visited all the famous places in the city. “Such a trip can bring a bright colour to my busy life!” said Chen. ④ “It’s labor-consuming (消耗体力的).Visitors try to see as many places as possible in a short period,” Chen said. In some ways, such trips are not as flexible(灵活的) as days-long trips because you can’t change your plan. “So, enough energy and a clear mind are necessary for this tour,” said Chen.  58. Which of the following examples is a kind of “special forces style tourism”? A. John, a manager in a company, travels to Suzhou with his wife for about a month. B. To show her pity because of staying at school for a long time. 60. The sentence “But such kind of tourism may not be proper for everyone.” should be put in ______. A. ① B. ② C. ③ D. ④ 61. Where may this passage come from? A. A comic book. B. A novel report. C. A film review. D. A travel magazine. D Jules Verne’s novel, Around the World in 80 Days, has inspired (激励) many people to travel around the world in unusual ways. In Jules Verne’s story, a rich English gentleman, Phileas Fogg, accepts a bet of £20, 000 that he can travel round the world in 80 days. Phileas Fogg is a man who is very hard to please. For example, he fires his servant (仆人) because he brings him some water to wash in that is 29℃ instead of 30℃. He has a very strict(严格的) routine (惯例) and he follows it to the letter every day. Fogg employs (雇佣) a new servant, Passepartout, and on Wednesday, 2nd October, 1872, they set off on the journey round the world. While he’s in India, Fogg falls in love with an Indian girl, Aouda. The journey ends back in London with Fogg believing that he has arrived a day too late and that he has lost the bet. He tells Aouda that he cannot marry her now, as he’s too poor. Passepartout learns that they have got the date wrong. The party travelled east, so they gained a day. Fogg hurries to his club and arrives there in time to win the bet and the story ends happily. The story is an easy read. The humorous twists and turns of the plot (情节) keep you enjoyable throughout. It is a romantic(浪漫的) adventure story that I would strongly recommend to all my friends. 62. One day a tall man with a scar (伤疤) on his face arrived. He opened the door of the inn, singing the song I know so well: “Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest — Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!” “A glass of rum,” he said when he came inside. “This is a pleasant inn.” he said. “Do you have many customers?” “Not many,” my father answered. “Well, this is the place for me. You can call me ‘captain’,” he said. Then he asked a man to carry his large sailor’s chest(水兵的箱子) to his room. “I’m a simple man,” he told my father. “Rum and bacon(培根) and eggs is all I want. Here are four gold coins to start. Tell me when I have to pay more.” During the day he went to the cliffs (悬崖) with his telescope and in the evening he sat by the fire drinking rum and water. He asked about sailors every day. We soon understood that he wanted to keep away from them. When a sailor visited the inn, the captain was always very quiet. One day he asked me, “If you see a sailor with one leg, tell me as soon as he arrives.” When the captain drank too much rum, he sang sea songs and told the other customers terrible stories about his violent (暴力的) life at sea. He stayed month after month, but he didn’t give my father any more money. My poor father was too frightened to ask. Everyone was frightened of the captain and his stories.
