阅读课说课 Good morning, dear teachers. I am candidate No.1 It’s my great honor to share my teaching design with you. Today, my topic is strangers under the same roof. The teaching plan includes 5 parts. First, Let’s begin with the analysis of the teaching material. The reading passage is taken from the textbook published by Yilin Press for senior 1. The theme of the unit is Let’s talk teens. The passage is mainly about the difficult relationship between parents and children. The second aspect is students’ background. Students for this class are in senior 1. They have learnt English for many years so it is not difficult for them to get the meaning and structure of the passage. However, their English understanding and expression abilities are relatively weak so they still have difficulty in deep reading and expressing logically. Based on the above analysis and English core competence requirements. I set the following teaching objectives. No.1 Language competence: Students can understand the main idea and the structure of the passage. No.2 Cultural awareness: Students can be interested in learning and exploring Chinese and foreign culture. No.3 Thinking quality: Students can infer the writer’s attitude from the passage. No.4 Learning ability: Students can increase their interest in learning English and they will actively use English to communicate. The key point is how to help students understand the main idea and the structure of the passage. The difficult point is how to help students use reading skills to get detailed information and infer the writer’s attitude from the passage. Therefore, I will set several questions to lead the students to think creatively and cultivate their emotional attitudes towards family conflicts. Here comes to the most important part, teaching procedures. Step 1. Warm-up & Lead-in I will great students briefly and show them a video. It’s a part of Home with Kids to make students be interested in class. Then have a free talk to introduce t
