Part 3 (Para.5) C．The process of something terrible. 答案：Parts 1～3　ACB |由课文学阅读技法| (一)把握“短篇小说”的文体特点 本文语篇节选自埃德加·爱伦·坡的短篇小说《大漩涡底余生记》。短篇小说的特点是篇幅比较短小，情节比较简洁，人物比较集中。它通常选取和描绘富有典型意义的生活片段，极力刻画主要人物的性格特征，能够及时、迅速地反映出社会生活的某一侧面或生活内容，以小见大，使读者能“借一斑略知全豹”。本文描述了作者和两个兄弟在海洋上遭遇大漩涡的故事，教育读者应该敬畏大自然，增强对自然灾难的防御意识、防御能力和生命意识。 (二)内化“短篇小说”的阅读技法 1．理清故事情节，弄清结构特点。故事情节一般分为开端、发展、高潮、结局四个部分。本文从时间、地点、人物、事件的起因、经过和结果等方面，以故事的发展情节为主线，再现了作者的经历。 2．分析人物形象，理解典型意义。分析人物形象主要是抓住人物的肖像、语言、行为和心理活动。本文第三、四段通过细致的场景描写和心理描写记叙了作者在自然灾害前的心理变化，由恐惧到镇定并积极思考施以自救，最终安全脱险。从中可以看出作者沉着冷静、善于思考的性格特点，给读者以启发。 文意深度理解 (一)阅读理解 1．What made the writer's hair change from black to white?
