Unit 1 How can we become good learners? Section A 1 (1a-2d) 一、教学目标 1. 语言知识目标： 1) 能掌握以下单词短语：textbook, conversation, aloud, pronunciation, sentence, patient, ask ... for help, study for a test, read aloud, speaking skills, spoken English, give a report, word by word 能掌握以下句型： ① How do you study for a test? ② What about listening to tapes? ③ Have you ever studied with a group? ④ It’s too hard to understand spoken English. ⑤ The more you read, the faster you’ll be. 2) 能了解以下语法：介词by的用法。 2. 情感态度价值观目标： 1) 学会用英语谈论平时的学习方法。 2) 能认识到学习方法的重要性，学会用好的学习方法指导有效的学习。 二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点： 学会运用how来询问做事的方式。 2. 教学难点： 1) 学会正确运用介词by表达做事的方式。 2) 能够联系实际，运用“by+v.-ing”结构谈论自己的学习方法，为别人提供合理的学习建议。 三、教学方法 本节听说课采用讲授法，讨论法，任务驱动法相结合的教学方法。 四、教学过程 Step 1 Leading in 1. Greet the class and briefly talk with the students about their holidays. 2. Discuss with the students like this: Teacher: What do you usually do when you study English? Student: I often read English books. Teacher: Good. He studies English by reading English books. That’s a good way. Now, what do you usually do when you study English? Student: I ... Step 2 Presentation 1. Ask students how they study English. Make them focus on the structure “I study English by ...”, especially the form of verbs, and write them on the blackboard. 2. Ask students to look at the picture on the screen and check the ways they study English. Then add other ways they sometimes study. Step 3 Listening (1b) 1. Read the instruction. 2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. 3. Play the recording for a second time. Ask the students to match the ways with the names in 1b. 4.
