◆ What kind of problems Ben has and
who he turns to for help? (Letter 1)
Ben believed one of his teammates let down the whole team and told it to his best friend. But then his friend told everyone else what Ben had said. Now Ben is at a loss for what to do, and he turns to Agony Aunt for help.
Agony Aunt
An agony aunt is a British advice columnist giving advice to people who send in personal problems to the advice column of a newspaper or a magazine.
The image presented was originally of an older woman offering comforting advice and maternal wisdom. Nowadays, the advisor is not necessarily female. It may turn out to be a male (Agony Uncle) or even a team.
In American English, “advice columnist”is used.
