Section Ⅶ　Writing 邀请信 本单元的写作项目属于新课标中应用文体的邀请信。邀请信是邀请收信人参加某项活动并希望其参加的一种文体。写信时要写明邀请对方参加活动的内容、时间、地点和相关注意事项，期待对方接受邀请并表示感谢。语气要热情有礼、委婉客气。 课文展示 Dear Mr Jenson， I am writing on behalf of the Student Union.As you know，we are running a school­wide public speaking competition，and the final will take place at the lecture hall on 10 May(9 a．m.－12 p．m.).①I am writing to ask whether you would be willing to help us judge the final competition. Since March，we have already had two rounds of the competition，with more than 100 students.②Now we have 12 students left for the final.The topic of the final speech is “Education for Innovation”．Students have to give a five­minute speech on the topic in English.
