Lesson Plan for Some Words of Jobs Ⅰ. Background information Students：40 middle school students in Grade 2 who are learning the unit 6 Lesson content：some words of jobs Lesson type: Vocabulary class Lesson duration：15 minutes Ⅱ. Teaching objectives 1. Knowledge objectives: (1) Students can know the pronunciations, spellings and meanings of some words of jobs: actor, doctor, editor, cook, painter, singer, dancer, driver, teacher. (2) Students can perceive these words combined a verb and a suffix such as act-or, paint-er. 2. Ability objectives: (1) Students’ speaking ability can be enhanced by expressing their ideas about their ideal jobs in English. (2) Students can remember these words better by learning word formation of a verb combining a suffix. 3. Emotional objectives: (1) Students will be more interested in learning vocabulary. (2) Students can know how to cooperate with group members. Ⅲ.
