2 . From my point of view , Cicero's quote means that knowing about our past helps us understand the present and the future better. If we were ignorant of our past, our knowledge about cultural and natural environments would be lacking. We would lose vital information that could help us become better by not repeating past mistakes . We would also not appreciate all the efforts and struggles of the people that came before us.
