(2022·江苏南通·七年级期末)Video cameras (摄像头) are almost everywhere in China: schools, cinemas and shops. But in recent (最近的) years, they entered (进入) our homes. Many parents set up (安装) cameras at home to watch their children’s online classes and homework. Are cameras really helpful? What do students think about it? TEENS (十几岁) invited (邀请) two students to share (分享) their ideas.

I like to lie in bed and watch videos instead of (而不是) studying. This affects (影响) my studies and makes my grades worse (更糟) . So my parents set up a camera to keep an eye on (留意) me.
It works. With the camera watching, I have to do my homework first and make plans for studying at home. When I am alone (独自的) at home, the camera makes me feel safe because I know that my patents are watching on the other side. My grades get better (更好的) after a year.

Earlier this year, my parents set up a camera in my room. I really don’t like it because I feel like there are always eyes watching me. I feel so uncomfortable that I can’t sleep well at night. Knowing there is a camera around, when my friends come to my home, they will speak quietly and carefully (小心地) . We can’t have pillow fights (打仗) . I am sad. So I ask my parents to take the camera away. They agree if I can behave (表现) well. I feel happy and free now.
