原因状语从句 Name 一、概念：原因状语从句是指在复合句中表示主句动作发生原因的句子。 Eg. I did not go to school yesterday because I was ill. Since it was raining, we had to stay at home. 二、类型 1. because引导的原因状语从句 because意思是“因为”，表示动作发生的直接原因，语气很强，常用来回答_________引导的疑问句。because多表示所叙述的理由是本句的重点。 Eg. --Why didn’t he go with us today?--Because he was too tired. 2. since和as引导的原因状语从句 (1) since意思是“既然；由于；因为”，表示已知的、显然的理由，而理由以外才是叙述的重点，多用于句首。 Eg. Since you are free, you’d better tidy your bedroom. Since it is late, I shall go home right now. (2) as和since的用法大体相同，表示附带说明的“双方已知的原因”，as多表示理由以外的才是重点。 Eg. As you were not here, I left a message.
