Students go on field trips, listen to guest speakers, take part in hands-on lessons and work on service projects as a group. Students who complete the program can earn seven credits. Duke University Gap Year Program When to apply: By early May of each year Is there funding available? Yes, $5,000 to $15,000.     Though Duke University has no course of study or experience for its gap year program, it encourages students to have an independent plan for their
