过去进行时专项复习 1、 知识点讲解 ①定义：过去进行时表示过去某一刻或过去一段时间内正在进行的动作或存在的状态。常与then,at this time yesterday,at that time,from four to eight yesterday以及when,while引导的时间状语从句连用，或用另一动作表示过去的时间。 e.g: Our family were watching TV at this time yesterday.昨天这个时候我们一家正在看电视。(过去某一时刻正在进行的动作） I was having dinner from 7 o’clock to 7:40 yesterday evening.昨天晚上的7点到7点四十我正在吃晚餐（过去某一时段正在发生的动作） It was raining when I left school.当我离开学校的时候，天在下雨。（用过去的动作表示过去的时间） ②特殊用法（when/while用法） · while引导的时间状语从句，在句中表示某一段时间内发生的事情，常译为“当……时”。从句谓语动词必须用延续性动词，且常与过去进行时搭配。 The telephone rang while my mother was cooking.当我妈妈正在做饭的是，电话铃响了。 注：该句为while引导的时间状语从句，译为“当……时”。主句的时态为一般过去时，因此从句的时态也为一般过去时，所以从句用的是过去进行时，从句中的cook也是个延续性动词，符合while的从句中的延续性动词的要求。 · when引导的时间状语从句，既可以表示“某一段时间”，也可以表示“某一时刻”。从句中谓语动词可以是延续性动词，也可以是非延续性动词。 When you called, I was eating 你打电话时，我在吃饭。 注：该句的时态为一般过去时，when引导的时间状语从句和主句在动作上是瞬时的，所以都用的是一般过去时。 · when和while 还可作并列连词。when表示“在那时”；while表示“而，却”，表对照关系。如： The children were running to move big stone when they heard the sound of a motor bike. 孩子们正要跑过去搬开那个大石头，这时他们听到了摩托车的声音。 He is tall while his brother is a little short. 他长得很高，而他弟弟却有一点矮小。 2、 练习 （ ）1.--I saw the light of your room was sill on at two o’clock last night. -- Oh,I a football match of the Russia World Cup.
