Ⅰ. Analysis of the students
As to the students , most of them show great interest in learning English, and they have a better way to learn English. But they have a poor knowledge of mind map, not to mention review words with mind map. So during the teaching process, the teacher should focus on mind map and train the students’ divergent thinking. What’s more, students should be taught to use mind map to brainstorm and review the words related to heroes or people. Meanwhile, the teacher should teach them to use the words in writing, making them to improve their writing skills.
Ⅱ.Teaching aims
1.Knowledge aims
1) Get students to review the words related to heroes or people with mind map.
2) Get students to write their own composition under the guidance of the mind map.
2.Ability aims
1) Develop students' ability to brainstorm relative words and enable them to summarize the words.
2) Train and improve the students’ writing ability with mind map.

Ⅵ. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in &Brainstorming
Lead in the topic with a mind map and brainstorm the words to describe heroes or people.
Step 2 Revision
Review the words related to the topic with a mind map and enlarge the word bank, especially review the words and phrases related to one’s appearance, characters, age, career and deeds etc.
Step 3 Group discussion
